I think leto I is wrong about a rebellion working because at core the sardaukar are a counter to that. Their one flaw is the worship of the burrseg itself. Comfort itself is what undoes them, not resistance or rebellion. They parallel the Praetorian guard of ancient Rome to a satirical extreme. Hit a sardaukar with a banquet instead of a battle axe. And it will cut them in half. Without scarcity driving then, the sardaukar stop throat singing about the miracles of genocide. They in every way are very much that invincible ancient Spartan warrior who gets bribed.
