The best boss in all of Birth by Sleep. No bullcrap mechanics, no instant-death-second-chance-once-more-bypassing idiocy: Just punishable mistakes on your own part, and block actually does something against him. Love playing Terra, but every boss has been a chore with him... except for this one. Such a fun fight. EDIT: *DARKNESS IS FOR PANSIES.* EDIT 2: I would like to note that I don’t think there has ever been a better knight-samurai armor style combo done like Eraqus’ armor. Absolutely adore it.
I agree. Whereas the other bonus fights are hair-pulling at worst and manageable at best, I legitimately had fun fighting Armor of the Master regardless of the character I was using.
Okay... for anyone doing this with ven. There's a shot lock command. Multivortex. It's like a windblade but in shotlock form. Wait for the armor to shoot the green fire. And use the shotlock once he shoots the fire. It melts near a bar from him. If you are a high level. You can probably do it in the 3 shotlocks available and no hit.
It's kinda crazy how a human being's heart/soul after death *can manifest into something different or humaine if they really tried to with pure willpower* For example: Ghosts or in this case *unfinished business*

The wiki classifies the Armor as a simulation, so no is controlling it, it's merely a recording of Eraqus's Abilities. When and Who recorded the data and made into the Mirage Arena is not mentioned, however I believe that it must be who ever the owner of the No Heart Armor is
I mean, he was pretty far past his prime (around the same age as Xehanort) and fighting two people that he really did not want to be fighting. This, I imagine, is Prime Performance Perfect Condition Eraqus with no holds barred, subconsciously or otherwise.
It IS armor, so I imagine physical limitations such as age and mental blocks such as betrayal (in his mind) would probably not matter. So yeah, his lingering armor probably outclasses the man himself at this point.

Unfortunately it requires jumping through all three hoops (character stories, since each character has his/her own unique bosses to contend with obviously that certain arena fights make use of, unavailable initially to the character that doesn't fight it in their respective story chains unless the other character with said boss clears their story chapters completely to the end so that the Clear Save data registers it into the Mirage Arena for the other characters) as well as doing all Mirage Arena missions as stated in the journal for each character (win 7 times on Command Board in the Mirage arena and completing the stated times in the journal for each race track in the racing mini-game in the same Mirage Arena of course), followed by completing each available arena fight at least once (completing the secondary objective, such as the "Tough As Nails" objective isn't needed though, so you don't need to worry about those too much) and farming for 9999 medals via the "Monster of the Sea" fight is a very viable option for such a thing. Since using one fully leveled Mega Flare on the starting enemies, then filling out the rest of your commands with fully leveled Mine Squares eats a LOOOOOT of the boss's HP bar, one bar per Mine Square in fact, even on Critical difficulty, I am NOT bullshitting you. XD lol In order to use said Mine Square on said boss, you must first temporarily "stun" him by hitting two of the explosive barrels you can see on each of the islands into the whale boss, then you can use the above strategy to make short work of the boss by standing on his tongue which acts as a temporary platform upon which you can damage him whilst he is unconscious, following up with an adequate shotlock (Ultima Cannon for Terra, Multivortex for Ventus, and Prism Rain for Aqua ) usually kills the boss VERY quickly and if you don't manage to get his HP down completely before he "wakes up" then one can always use Mine Square on the main island as he tends to either "fly" over it, flop over on it and use his tail on it. All three usually triggers the Mine Squares and thus, damage his HP. So yeah, with that strategy in mind you can easily farm for medals via that one mission alone due to how much it gives out when you defeat him quickly. Heh :J
"Welcome to the Land of Departure. Where I will depart your soul from your body" 4:02 Why does the boss have Ohranger/Kingranger symbols coming out? Is the gamedev a fan of sentai?

I wish it was harder for better reasons. It has a lot of jank that makes it frustrating to play. KH3, specifically the data fights and Yozora, are such a step in the right direction in terms of ridiculously challenging, fair fights.
So according to Kingdom hearts logic, a keyblade master is much more powerfull after being killed ? I mean... Terra, slow as fuck, meanwhile as the lingering will he is much faster than Ventus, has like... 10 or 9 health bars... Meanwhile Eraqus is decent fighting terra but in this armor his abilities seem "enhanced"
@Dominic Docherty Not to mention unlike normal Terra, Lingering Will really is the "lost mind" of Terra. Considering how he was so fargone that he mistook SORA of all people for Xehanort, I think his lack of inhibition and blind rage over the years also helped so he wouldn't hold back.
