Great video. Been playing tale of two wastelands and its great having a high DPS weapon like that for the fallout 3 sponge enemies. Super mutant overlords, albino rad scorps, feral ghoul reaver
Love the new Vegas content. You should try out the fully modded laser rifle. It’s not as op as say the tri beam, but has its upsides. With a critical build it can be used as a sniper with the scope mod very effectively. Only uses one MF cell and condition doesn’t regrade as fast as the tri beam or LAER for example. And it still has good damage and DPS, just not in comparison to the OP energy weapons in the game.
I'm going to second this; the plain Jane vanilla laser rifle is an absolute workhorse in New Vegas-I've played almost the entire game with just a laser rifle, including clearing Quarry Junction and Deathclaw Promontory. On a build with even moderately high luck and the GRA beam splitter, you'll crit repeatedly.
So, I have gotten the gatling laser to over 1400 DPS with the use of psycho, yao guai meat, and ED with the appropriate up grade giving +5 energy weapon damage. This ultimately makes it insanely powerful no matter what your shooting at. With rushing water you can push it to almost 2000 DPS.
Rushing water has no effect on any automatic weapons' rates of fire. Reloading in V.A.T.S. is instantaneous while under the effects of rushing water, but reloading out of V.A.T.S. is unaffected.
In fallout 4 survival mode, with "No Spin Ups" mode, a junkie gatling laser might as well be the best weapon possible. Because its one shot damage could be as high as 916 or even 1053, it's accurate and quick. And the ammo is extremely light, 1100 rounds only weigh 4 pounds.
@@Captainoob modified gat laser has 50 more base dps but sprtlwood has 6 more base crit damage and 2% more crit chance. With a crit build and fast shot, atomic and ain’t like that now, thought you died and rapid reload sprtl wood should be superior unless I got my memory wrong
Automatics like the Gatling Laser have very low critical chance modifiers. The bonuses from traits, perks, and equipment, such as Finesse, Built to Destroy, 1st Recon Beret, etc would be wasted as you would barely get any improvement. You would still end up with a very low critical chance of only about 1% or even less. Light Touch does add a flat amount that is not affected, as does VATS, though automatics only get one chance to inflict a critical in VATS, and they often cost lots of AP points.
Ah, Ye Olde Fallout 3/NV Gatling Lasers. Back when Rad Scorpions couldn't burrow, but were the only thing outside of Deathclaws to scare the living daylights out of players. The GS took care of 'em fast. Now we just beat everything with a paddle ball. XD
Well, i could also ask if i remember how good Fallout Games used to be before Fallout 4? Yes, i remember. Memorable cool weapons, memorable cool uniques by name, memorable quests, npc.....everything. Fallout 4 might have the better graphics and by far more fluid combat (Fallout 3 and NV combat felt pretty clunky for to be real) but that´s all for no4. Just hope Bethesda internally just realizes somehow how bad the idea with Fallout 4 and 76 was to change all weapons into boring randomized bullshit if we somewhen get a Fallout 5 - for whoever will design it at last. Having a new NV playthrough currently too. Not really many mods (just a bit qol) but hell, unarmed start and later moving up to unarmed rifle combination.....and i still remember the name of my beloved rifle "This Machine". Not bullshit names like "Penetrating hardened heavy assault rifle".
they won't, the more ''casual'' shooter rpg-lite appeals to a larger market, which means more sales. Gaming has turned into a mainstream hobby, but not everyone is into the ''niche'' dialogue/rpg driven games like New vegas and Fallout 3. Bethesda is unfortunately still a business, money drives them the most, so i have no hope we'll get a Fallout rpg like the nerds used to make them
Thats why fallout NV was the GOAT,unlike that Fallout76 POS with each patch breaking different things, you take fall damage in power armor now ,weight reduction dont work and the heavy energy weapons are broken because you have to reload every 3 shots.
Using the T51B and the gatling laser feels like play the og Fallout's once again, no better feeling that playing like a tank.
This man has turned Fallout New Vegas into a FO76 build video.

Alien blaster goes stink
Stonk
@@hentaihyena420 good idea! I'll keep that on me, test it on the next bullet sponge

I’ve always like the Laser Gun in New Vegas. Might be worth trying out

A laser rifle with a scope and the focus optics, max charge and related perks will let you 4 shot alpha male deathclaws on normal difficulty

The Gatling laser sounds awesome in 3 and NV
Dude awesome photo finish at the promitory!
Been really enjoying these NV videos, I wanna make another character and use the unique Gauss rifle.
I love gatling lasers in new vegas. Thanks for the video.
Do you like sprtl-wood or normal gatling lasers with modification more ?

Junkies is mental in Fallout 4. Gotta mess around with it someday
@@Captainoob Love your contents, man! Keep up the good work!
I remember when i first came to that area:D Nice video captain!
i miss the older gatling laser wish we could get a classic varent in fo76
Should have gotten everything that increases fire rate if you didn’t already, and used SPrtlwood 9700
Standard Gatling lasers are superior

The fire rate perks will not affect most automatic weapons.
This thing absolutely shreds.

My current gat laser does 96 damage per shot and over 2k dps
no meltdown?
set lasers for fun gives you a flat 2%/4% crit chance at rank 1/2 have fun.
just eats through that ammo. this is why q35 is best weapon.
Point deducted for not using spartelwood

Tried it on deathclaws nothing comes close to fully modded tri beam and laser rifle on crit builds
I think I went back to the tri beam laser gun with this build and it was monstrous
