I think a true testament to travel is that you do get to learn things like this. I also didn’t learn a lot of these things whenever I was in school so being able to see them now is amazing. And being able to share them is even a bigger joy.
Miss Bunny I actually owned a pair of those metal roller skates you filmed in one of the display windows. I LOVED my skates. Went outside to skate every single day. And the cool thing is that they were adjustable, so I shared my skates with all my little cousins. We had a little key, and this key made them little or big. But all of us used the one pair of skates. Lol. I just dated myself. I'm 68 and I still remember all the fun we had with my skates. Thank you for the tour of Winslow. Travelling mercies 💖
Yeah that’s the whole point you can be right alongside with me and choosing what you are interested in going to and creating a list of fun for the future
LOL I know whenever I left there I was singing it for a whole day. It was kind of funny… I have always wondered what it looks like and I’m glad that I finally saw it for myself also. Glad that I could bring you the visual
In reality I know that we don’t actually get brain wrinkles however I like the visual that it gets for me whenever I think about it… It’s fun to think that as we learn we have just so many more cool things in our brain
Thank you! My goal is always to share the Unique spaces that are out there and then I hope that by seeing some of the different places that people are interested in getting out and trying something new maybe in their area.
Bunny, no wonder I love you. I love that you covered La Posada. I recently became obsessed with Fred Harvey who was the man who started the Harvey girls. I hope you make a point of visiting La Posada. It has some amazing artwork and the owners have done a bang up job at restoring it. There are only a few Harvey hotels still in existance. I highly recommend you pick up a book about the history of Fred Harvey. There is even a get together of Harvey fans once a year in Santa Fe NM which I am seriously thinking about attending. For those who havent been to Winslow just a warning it is definitely a town struggling so dont expect it to be a thriving touristy town. Sadly much of the town is dilapitated or boarded up but many artists have moved to winslow so they are attempting to bring it back to its former glory. Thanks for showing the museum and covering La Posada!
I was planning on going but they were working on a small remodel when I was there. So I missed out on that one however I will be going the next time I pass through.
I love the history!!! And yes, I grew up in Tulsa OK which is on Route 66. My parents used to drive on US66 to take us to Southern CA in the summers. I traveled RT 66 several times.
Very cool! I love the history as well and it’s super super fun to be able to see these really unique sites. I can’t wait until I take the entirety of the road and be able to share it
Next visit to Winslow, drive 150 miles to Chinle, AZ (on Navaho reservation). Visit Canyon de Shelley Natl. Monument. Not crowded or touristy. Beautiful scenery!
Thank you so much! I truly enjoy what I do and I try to share things in a way that others can see what kind of adventures truly exist. For those who aren’t able to go I want to tell just enough of the story so that they feel like they’ve been but for those who are going I leave a little bit of mystery for their journey
Thank you! I really wanted to do more than just the traditional route 66 stop. There’s so much more to this community and it’s absolutely amazing to see how much you can find all within a two or three block radius. So many great things. I hope to return someday soon and do something a little extra with it
I stopped off the highway for gas on my way to Phoenix from Albuquerque. Inside the gas station I got a dinner invitation, while pumping gas I got a marriage proposal! LOL Yes that actually happened! Crazy!
Thank you for the information and appreciate you going and showing local museums and history. You even went to a local museum in my area I didn’t know about. East tn mining museum. Thank you for your hard work. It’s appreciated. New subscriber now. Love watching your van life. Refreshing from other van lifers. I LOVE OLD PHOTOS!
I really like the knowledge that comes from a small town museum. A lot of times that explains the backbone of the community in a way that is so vivid that you truly understand the people that started out in the area and why the community is the way it is more present day. I’m glad that you enjoyed the museum and also that you found the value in the one in Tennessee!
Thank you so much for coming along! I truly enjoy sharing each individual place and it really makes me smile to know that people enjoy seeing the various locations and consider them
Absolutely! Museums are my favorite things to visit because they tell the True history of the area. We’re going to the Museum and loong War Gutted Community then you will just by reading the signs around town typically. Not to mention you can see more about the actual people who lived there and how their lives matter function. I love a good small town museum this one was incredibly wonderful and the woman who is the curator of the museum and the Director is fabulous!
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed going here because I think a lot of people go and visit but don’t really dive much deeper than the surface of Route 66. The area actually has a lot of really cool stuff going on well beyond that and I didn’t even get to tap into all of it in this video LOL I have to go back now
Thank you so much for coming along! I think that the museum here is very underrated and considering that you can talk directly to the Director and get tons of information it is fabulous. Highly recommend
I certainly hope that you do! I have found along the way there are so many amazing places out there. And even if you can’t go on a link to the trip try to find something that’s close to you and go out and explore
Nice definitely be hitting Winslow next year when I go out West .Asuia from pandemonium channel she has a property out there in Williams next to Winslow. That burger looks really good now I want a burger and I also wanna bagel thanks but most of all the green chilies I love them. As always stay safe stay strong stay healthy God bless .Guess what I got the Ocion varant virus of Covid so keep me in your prayers.✌✌💖💪👏🎅🚌🌻
Thank you for visiting Winslow, Az. I watch you all the time. We own the Motel 10 in Winslow Az. 🤗 Visit anytime. Manager William is always there. Love you 🌻
Thank you so much for reaching out! I loved Winslow area but I definitely will be back. I’m hoping to start on a project including some very fascinating things about Route 66. So next time I am through town I will definitely reach out.
I actually lived in Winslow Arizona for several years and I bought 2 of those paving blocks on the corner.. One for my son that passed away asked away and 1 for a police officer that was killed while on duty when I was working in the hospital in Flagstaff
Those are both very wonderful sentiments to remember. I know honoring people through these unique ways really makes a difference. As a person who visits it does not go unnoticed when I find things like this. Thank you so much for being the better part of humanity
as always thanks for the video even sharing when a campsite isn't perfect but its better than a sharp stick in the eye🤪 i did not know about city park. happy trails!
This one was pretty awesome as a city park. I don’t mind paying for a side if it has convenience and then also a little bit of something that differentiates it. Every so often you just don’t wanna have to stress about finding land to stay on in the dark LOL so I was more than willing to pay the fee on this one. When I woke up next morning it was absolutely beautiful and in addition to the camping area there is a beautiful day use area that you can get into the water through their launch points and it is gorgeous.
I am currently here. The video that listed that I was coming to Quartzite posted in an irregular order. So I have two adventure videos that were previously scheduled that were supposed to go out before it. I decided to go ahead and post this one and I’ll post the other one this coming weekend.
I live in Az and I used to camp at Mchood but that was in the mid 80s. The campgrounds were pretty empty even back then. It was free up til recently sounds like. Thank you! I’m really glad that you checked out the video I really enjoyed this area because of the history but also all of the interesting unique things that you see when you were in a traditionally route 66 stop.
To road-trip Rt66 has been on my bucket list for quite some time. My Dad did it on his motorcycle, he started in Chicago and obviously ended back in Chicago...which is just about 5000 miles ON A HARLEY! As for me, I'll be doing it in a car and I'll be doing it solo as well.
I’m very excited about finding the true stories behind route 66. While I want to share in a blog style of me just exploring I also want to get into the meat and potatoes of what makes some other road special
You are becoming one of my favorite you tubers.. I'm highly enjoying 😉 your history videos and how much information you have for us. Sunday was a bunny 🐰day and practically watched all your videos.. Hopefully one day we will be able to meet up one day.
I am so glad that you’re enjoying the contact. It makes me happy to know that you are diving into the history with me as we travel. Those kind of videos really bring a smile to my face and I am very passionate about sharing the history. Thank you for sharing and tuning in
It’s a great little community to visit and really nice wonderful people. It was super fun to go through and see the infamous corner but also to see the history I think that was my favorite
I really am interested in the history of the Harvey girls… The more that I learn the more fascinated I become. It’s quite interesting to see how the evolution of the transport industry shaped so many different aspects of travel like this.
If I make it to Az next year I plan to add a visit to Winslow, Oatman, and Mesa I was born there in 1960 my parents returned to Oklahoma when I was 5 mo old.
Absolutely you have to stop. Winslow and Oatman I have been to but I have not been to Mesa yet. It’s on my list of places to go because people have suggested however
New to your channel and definitely enjoyed this video. I was wondering how far this was from the RTR? BTW you kinda made me feel old with the matchbook and hotel keys and not pointing out the Howdy Dudie doll...all of which I remember.
This particular location is about threehours away from the RTR area I actually visited on my way toward the event. So I had a couple days in between when this was shot and when I arrived in Quartzite
Thanks for the reply...this looks like a cool place to just set up a chase lounge and "take it easy" (see what I did there)...thanks again from your newest subscriber.
I loved Winslow! We ate at BoJo's it was also wonderful. Unfortunately most things were closed I think we went on a Monday and it was off season. But loved anyway.
I was in fact told that Mondays are their off day. So a lot of businesses are closed along route 66 on that day. I’m glad that you checked out Bojo, That was the other one that was suggested to me by numerous people so I had to make a decision… I was happy with what I chose but I do want to go back and try some more food there
While your on 66 you should check out The Road Kill Cafe , I had a great time there when we went to Grand Canyon years ago, love your videos more and more
One of these days I hope to travel the entire route and then I will go to the café. I want to make sure that I have enough time to dedicate to all of the Unique stops along the way before I really start diving into some of the most unique ones.
I have seen this but I’ve never been there. I plan on going there whenever I do my grand route 66 trip to show all of the fun quirky things that are available
There is a diner in Winslow I’m sorry can’t remember the name. It’s a diner straight out of the 50s/60s. Waitress uniforms with the little hats and all. So neat. Like a step back in time.
It was really a fascinating place there’s actually a few other places that I didn’t show him this video that are really cool as well I hope to tackle those whenever I go back through on my next trip.
Whenever I was traveling to an event in Arkansas I lost one so I went ahead and pulled all of them off until I could get a matching set. I’ll talk a little bit more about this in an upcoming video.
This particular stretch of highway was made famous because it was the first connecting highway that would go all the way over to the West Coast. There were a lot of random roads but none of them took this particular path for transit. Later on they tried to streamline this and it took five highways to stay in the same distance that a single row did. They call it the mother road
I will definitely check out the channel. Glad to see that you are creating! There’s something really fun about RUclips and being able to share your unique perspective. I encourage you to continue and push through any time that it gets hard. I’m looking forward to watching.
Question of the day: Have you traveled Route 66?
I live nearby rt66 drive it all the time
Me learning more about US history watching these blogs than I did in class. You'd make an awesome teacher I reckon.
I think a true testament to travel is that you do get to learn things like this. I also didn’t learn a lot of these things whenever I was in school so being able to see them now is amazing. And being able to share them is even a bigger joy.
"Standing On The Corner In Winslow Arizona..."

Now that iconic song is stuck in my head. 🗺 Finally have an image to put with the song, thanks Bunny! 👋🏼🇨🇦
LOL I know whenever I left there I was singing it for a whole day. It was kind of funny… I have always wondered what it looks like and I’m glad that I finally saw it for myself also. Glad that I could bring you the visual
I love love love that you said "brain wrinkles" !! Have not heard that in so long! You did a great job explaining so much!
In reality I know that we don’t actually get brain wrinkles however I like the visual that it gets for me whenever I think about it… It’s fun to think that as we learn we have just so many more cool things in our brain
You are awesome!!! It was great meeting you in Quartzsite.

Definitely visit La Posada in Winslow, AZ! Stroll the grounds, stay at the inn, eat in the restaurant. Also visit nearby Navaho & Hopi reservations.
Watch the 1946 movie, "The Harvey Girls", w/Judy Garland. Filmed on location at LA Posada.
Next visit to Winslow, drive 150 miles to Chinle, AZ (on Navaho reservation). Visit Canyon de Shelley Natl. Monument. Not crowded or touristy. Beautiful scenery!

I didn’t know that’s where her property was… I knew that she had some but I wasn’t aware of the area. Very cool
Winslow is not next to williams. They are 90 miles apart with Flagstaff in between
Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome! This area was absolutely wonderful to visit and I had such a good time. I can’t wait to go back again soon.
That was a fun entertaining video...thanks for posting!

as always thanks for the video even sharing when a campsite isn't perfect but its better than a sharp stick in the eye🤪 i did not know about city park. happy trails!
This one was pretty awesome as a city park. I don’t mind paying for a side if it has convenience and then also a little bit of something that differentiates it. Every so often you just don’t wanna have to stress about finding land to stay on in the dark LOL so I was more than willing to pay the fee on this one. @@BunnyPlaysHere wow exactly what i was thinking too! i yry to land at a spot before dark also! cool 😎
Girl you are a doll and crack me up lol you make smile god bless sweetie
Thank you so much! I had such a good time on this adventure that I was just having a blast… LOL
What happened to Quartzide? I thought you were going to be there a few days.....I was looking forward to what you found in the BIG tent.

I live in Az and I used to camp at Mchood but that was in the mid 80s. The campgrounds were pretty empty even back then. It was free up til recently sounds like. Thinking of the Route 66 drive starting on my 66th birthday.
Lol Harvey girls don't you know that was some wild times
Have stayed at the campground several years ago when it was free. Was pretty clean at that time. Sites are large and it is a quiet place.
Absolutely! It’s a wonderful place to stay and I don’t mind paying for a place like this along the way here and there
❤️🙏
“No sags, no drags” tables 🤣😂🤣😃
LOL it is my favorite thing to say when I’m at a campsite I love a good campground table.
Oh man , I went through there on Friday !!!
It’s a great little community to visit and really nice wonderful people. It was super fun to go through and see the infamous corner but also to see the history I think that was my favorite
“The Atchinson, Topeka, and the Santa Fe” song. Judy Garland movie about the Harvey Girls.

Everyone sang the title of this video, LOL
Upps now I see ..ask too soon
Bunny I love to see your videos ..but would you say why is famous for rd 66 ? Hugs from Cancun 🇲🇽

TWA...Trans World Airlines..
back in the day
TWA = Trans World Airline was one of the major Air carriers during that period
Yes! This!
TWA was started by Hollywood mogul, Howard Hughes.

I will definitely check out the channel. Glad to see that you are creating! There’s something really fun about RUclips and being able to share your unique perspective. I encourage you to continue and push through any time that it gets hard. I’m looking forward to watching.
Also the burger was delicious…
Thank you so much for the encouraging words! You make it look very easy btw haha! I’ll probably try to make that burger in the van sometime haha!
