I was undecided on which pants to get. After watching your comparison of all 3 styles, and this review I have decided on the Tru-Spec. Thank you sir for saving me time and money.
I have multiple pairs of various colors I bought 5 years ago and I wear them daily for work. They look as good today as they did when I bought them. Show no wear and anything you get on them will come out with a little Dawn soap and regular wash cycle. I don't turn them inside out as they recommend when washing, but have not seen any fading etc. The Coyote and Khaki are the most worn ones. I crawl around on trucks and vehicles, were a pair of jeans wont last two weeks, and these are bulletproof.
Excellent review, both parts! Thanks for taking the time to make them. I just ordered a pair for my upcoming hiking excursions. They seem more durable & versatile than typical, nylon, hiking pants found in sports stores.
Great video! Like how you went over the pros and cons of the pant. I have owned other pants like the 5.11 and Blackhawks and they all have their own pros and cons but I think it comes down to affordability since you can find the Blackhawks and Truspec pants for cheaper (usually). I guess my only question would be is if these pants could be worn as bloused class B's?
Thanks. The waist seems pretty true to size although it does stretch a few inches. It might work with your normal size depending on how close you are. The Tru-Specs in general tend to run long as they have a longer rise (14" compared to 12") than most other pants. My 5.11's in comparison tend to run short.
They are definitely cut generous in the thigh. That's one of the things they designed into them. The seat isn't as generous but still a decent amount of space.
Thanks. Some of my more recent pant vids have gotten a bit better. :-) Hmm... I guess I'm not sure on the blousing thing. I've never work pants bloused, so I don't have a good idea on how they need to fit for that.
Great review indeed! Do you happen to have the convertible zip off version of these pants? It will be nice to have that extra versatility but I am not sure how they fare.
Great review, thanks for taking time to do it. One thing I was hoping you would touch on is the fit. In other words, how does the size compare to other pants? I wear a Supertuck Deluxe IWB holster often. Would you recommend ordering the size I'm used to? How's the inseam compared to regular pants? Thanks again for a very informative vid!
Awesome review! I wear a 31 waist. should I buy a 32 waist in these? In this video the color does not look coyote like your other review, more like a light khaki. Is it the lighting in the video that did this? Do these soften up with some washings?
Do these pants have more of a wind pants type feel? Are they more bleach stain resistant since they're more polyester? The thing I hate about cotton is they always get those bleach spots on them after getting washed.
Thanks. I think the pants can be used for whatever. I'm wearing mine right now working in the ER. I'm not sure what you mean by wearing the duty holster up high.
Jack Dawson I guess I can't entirely say since I've never worn a true duty holster unless a Serpa counts. I had those back when I started shooting. Now I'm using kydex holsters.
Okay, well,.. I always find it look better if the duty holster is worn higher than for example if you wearing it over your belt on jeans. I dont like the sagging of the belt, that always looks messy in my perception. I was wondering about that. I recently ordered a true spec and i guess that I wont really know until It has arrived. Thanks

@StrumentoGearon Glad you enjoyed it! My friend has the shorts version of them and likes them. What are you wondering about them?

@StrumentoGearon Ah, sorry. I don't have any experience with the convertible ones to really know. They weren't out when I got mine.
Great review indeed! Do you happen to have the convertible zip off version of these pants? It will be nice to have that extra versatility but I am not sure how they fare.
Yep, you're correct there. Guess you have to put it on the other side (the knife that is) or up in the front pocket.
@antpop1 Thanks. And yes, they will serve you well for hiking as they are very tough.
barely. I'm wearing them now and there is minimal fading around the seams, but not much at all
Very well done review. Both part 1 and 2.
Thank you very much for putting it out for the restof us.
I will be getting a couple of them now.
Thanks. I agree on the pants. They are quite well designed.
@spektr540hemi Thanks for the kind words. They are indeed great pants.
@CoolDre80 Glad I could help out!
No, not anything noticeable. Might shrink a little in the length but nothing you'll notice in the thigh or seat.

@JimmyGunXD556 Glad you enjoyed it!

I have my Emerson N-SAR in my pocket as I type. A rather large knife in its own right.
@snareman95 I am more concern about the convertible zippers; do the zippers rubbed uncomfortably on the inside, are they color coded etc.
That Adamas is a cool LARGE knife! :-)

one more question snareman95 i am thinking about getting 2 pairs of brown ones, did your brown pair fade after a couple of washes.
Do you mean is there a pocket inside the back pocket? No.
Its a Wilderness Tactical belt
will they shrink after a couple of washes in the thigh and seat area snareman95
Thanks for the great vid !
What kind of belt is that????
Sir, great video, lost of helpful information. These are duty pants right? Will a duty holster be worn up high?
Thanks. I think the pants can be used for whatever. I'm wearing mine right now working in the ER. I'm not sure what you mean by wearing the duty holster up high.
Thanks for replying, Eeehm,.. I meant in a fashion wear in a duty gun holster would be worn up higher than normal pants.
Jack Dawson I guess I can't entirely say since I've never worn a true duty holster unless a Serpa counts. I had those back when I started shooting. Now I'm using kydex holsters.

Great review thank you
You're welcome! Just got a pair of TruSpec Vector pants in today to try and review.

What belt is that again sir?
TheKillerMarine Wilderness Tactical. www.thewilderness.com
That's far too broad of a question to answer without knowing what you're looking for. Check out Fenix for starters.
do they have a loose fit in the thigh and buttock area.
Thanks! Its a Wilderness Tactical belt. thewilderness com
