I own the gen 1 and you are right about it only really being good for the sidewalks , deck and driveway or even flower beds , it really does a great job on those but anything more than that like full yard leaf clean ups forget about it . The one thing I have found interesting about it is that my wife will even use it on her own , she really likes the lightness and ease of use that it offers over say a gas operated unit , which she would never touch . I put the 6 ah battery in it and it last a long time , overall it was worth the money .
I have the gen 1, it is a little lackluster but works good for doing front porch every day or so. Really like the cordless functionality and not having to start up my stihl bg86 and get 2stroke smell all over me. it sounds like from your review that you would upgrade to the gen2 if you had the opportunity? is it 50% better than gen 1 or marginal? It will only cost me about $40 to do so. buying non-dewalt is out of the question for me.
BOSS! I have opportunity to snag this with the battery promo deal. I can’t find an update or follow up on this blower? You still liking this blower? My use would be leaf blowing on smooth surfaces, blowing off work areas, and blowing off car after washing. My old jobsite blower is smelling funny, after extended use, and I think it will fail soon? 🙁 Thanks! 👍😁✌🏻
