Diamonds In The Rough was originally released on CD in 2008 as part of the DVD+CD release “Live in the LBC/Diamonds in the Rough”. It is a compilation of b-sides recorded during the making of the band’s self-titled 2007 debut, rarities, covers and other non-album tracks. The 2020 vinyl and digital release of the album has been remastered and is expanded by 5 tracks, featuring the unreleased track “Set Me Free” (recorded during the “Hail To The King” sessions). It also includes other hard-to-find tracks such as the fan-favorite “St, James”, “4AM” and “Lost It All”. The 16 track album also includes the band’s cover of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid”, which originally came out in 2009 on the Warner Bros album “Covered”. The vinyl is released on limited edition clear vinyl.

This band just bleeds talent. The fact they mean so much to so many different people can't be ignored. That's the thing that needs to recognized, the main stream industry can ignore them but the fans and people who love them will not let their talent be ignored.

You definitely should check Dream Theater. You'll enjoy songs about real-life stories like The Count of Tuscany and A Nightmare to Remember. Scenes from a Memory is a fascinating concept album with a great history, one of the best concept albums of all time. Images and Words is also a great album to start with. Dream Theater is one of A7X biggest influences.

A7X has been my favorite band since 2006 in grade school. I’ve known my best friend since I was 5 and he also loves this band. His dad just passed away from cancer after battling it more times than anyone should have to go through. We went to an A7X concert in summer ‘17 and got pit tickets. We went to visit my friends dad in Cincinnati and we ordered room service at his hotel he was staying at. This song gave me chills and made me remember all the good times we had growing up together. He will be missed and I know he has been set free. May his soul Rest In Peace foREVer!

To this day I'm glad I discovered and got fonded to this song. It helped me a lot through my hardest moments. To all those troubled people in the world I wanna say that life offers its hardest battles to its toughest warriors. You'll get out of those moments just fine. Carry on living and loving.
At first, I thought this was a brand new song. I noticed how strong Shadow's voice sounded, and it got me super excited! Then I saw it was from 2013, and that made more sense. Good song!

Shadows voice gives me shivers every damn time and the guitars are almost hypnotic!

I can't stop listening to this. No idea why anyone thought this wasn't good enough for the album. Imagine creating these guitar solos and not having people hear them, not to mention the amazing vocals.

It was supposed to be in "Hail to the king" but they knew it was too good to end up in their worst album. This song alone could have carried the album, but still I'm glad that the song exists and I absolutely love it!

@@lancer717 for me its just too many things my mind has to process, Before I go into public I have anxiety. Its like that feeling when you get terrible news but all the time. I always have negative thoughts and can't sleep for longer then 2 hours at a time,iwake up and think about negative shit and what I havent become..on top of that I have extremely vivid dreams so even when i wake up im still tired. i forgot to mention it takes me hours to fall asleep. Im miserable all the time..thank god i have friends that understand. @7Suave I know you didnt ask me but I just felt like i kinda had to explain how I feel. it can help me..

Absolutely btw I'm sorry for your loss. I remember when my friend my died Sept 1st 2013 ,it was a almost 2 weeks after avenged sevenfold released hail to the king and I remembered the first time I heard st James it was the day after he died. And the song hit me hard, for one his middle name was James even tho I knew the song is about the rev. But in a away I felt the song was for him to and I was obsessed with that song the rest of 2013 . Avenged do has some deep ass songs and sometimes you don't understand them until you lost someone you care about it and have been through depression.
