Stay true to you man. It’ll be worth it in the long run to charge more. You’ll get to the point where it wont bother you that much when the cheap customers don’t choose you. Good luck next season. Hope you kill it 💪🏼
New subscriber, great content! I know you've heard this many times before and will keep hearing it, but "Keep pushing!" Present yourself to property management companies. I landed a contract to clean in my own HOA twice a year, moved to Puerto Rico and I still have that contract but had to increase my price to pay for my flights. So I'm banging out the contract and also visiting my family in Florida. Have a prosperous new year Brother!
Been doing this for 6 seasons and it’s a struggle at first. I have never used square foot pricing to many variables. If you think a job is going to take two to three hours to complete then you charge accordingly to cover your actual cost and what you need for profit. Keep on keeping on man.
Hey bro, when you change your metering valve put a stainless steel hose clamp around the part that cracked and try to not over tighten. I crack everyone the first time too.
As long as you keep posting on social medias and put yard signs out from now until the end of the spring rush you will see a bunch of customers come around March. You won’t see any growth come March unless you are doing free marketing now though.
@@4yoeyesonlee designsanhour.com/pressure-washing-shirts/ that’s where I order the shirts from it took like 2-3wks to come but they are really comfortable.
I won’t give up my friend I only have 1 engine on my train and it’s full speed ahead. I’m very motivated, happy and humble my friend. Thanks for your continued support.
So I did this business. I actually started port of mouth, a friend of mine in high school, told me that he knew a guy that owned a business that I could get a summer job. I started pressure cleaning. Oh boy, I was in way better shape. I look like Hercules in high school, and now I look like I ate Hercules. LOL the point is I work a job. I make good money Monday through Friday. But this dress is killing me. It really is and I know people tell you to fight on and do this and do that, but there's nothing like the days I remember pressure cleaning. Yeah, it was tough. It was hot, dangerous. But I put money together, I bought up Toyota Tacoma, and I am going to start pay pressure, cleaning and painting business. I'm going to do exterior pressure, cleaning and painting. One thing and a bit of advice I can give you is for about another 1500 bucks. You can go get a really good painters machine? Offer up sales advise that you can paint the roof that you can wash the roof give it 3 days, come back and paint it. Charge $1500 for that. You can paint driveways, if you can I know eventually afford a ceiling machine, or even my God back in the day in high school? I know it wasn't the most ethical way. But we went and got sealer, poured it on a roller. Sealed the driveway, where there's a will. There's a way my God, we even laid asphalt, stay true to what you're truly good at. But also upset upsell upset, I'm literally getting back into it now. Like I said, I just bought the truck this upcoming paycheck or this upcoming bonus. I'm going to take the entire bonus. Put 10 grand together and I'm going to go. Get the trailer a 3 to 500 gallon tank. Another 100 gallon tank for chemical, and then I'm going to go get my pressure washer surface cleaner wands, etc. But I'm also going to go and purchase In automatic painting machine, I've done painting with my father. Unfortunately, I got in a little bit of trouble in my younger years after high school, and after the military, and I found myself doing a little time right? Not much, but I did painting while I was in and I learned how to paint, so I learned that technique. Took something bad and turned it into good so I can paint well. I can pressure clean, but nobody's business and don't charge less. Keep fighting because people think that they're gonna get over on you. If they want to pay you 250 for a roof tell them to go by 50 feet of hose. At $89, and they're going to need 3 of those a pressure cleaning machine. And everything that comes with it, just the tools alone to pressure clean the house. One time is going to cost them about $2000. Maybe a 1000 if they want to spend all day with a wand. Point is proud of you, man. And I'm glad to see you're like me, somebody that has a job a little bit older trying to make extra income. I'm hustling trying to get out of the 9 to 5 to do your own thing. Eventually you'll build your business, but again, start something like painting I don't know if you offer painting. Go up to the door knock. If you're getting callbacks, Hey, do you do pressure cleaning guess with your pressure cleaning? We also offer painting services and other things. You know upsell We offer painting roof tiles. We offer soft wash for houses with singles. People will say you can't soft wash with a pressure washer. The hell you cant . Lol. Long story short I got faith in, you don't give up.
Do what you can to keep the leads coming in. Stand your ground on your prices. You're a business and not a charity. These guys who are working for nothing are a breakdown away from going out of business. There's cheap companies all over. Once you get a few jobs under your belt and you ask for reviews and referrals, you will start building a brand, and people will pay what you're asking. There's no guarantees, but if you keep hustling and don't give up, good things will happen.
@@torreyspowerwashjourneyNice.. I'm in West Palm Beach and I started a pressure cleaning company 2 and a half years ago. I mainly do roof washing.. it's a really tough business due to how much competition we got down here. Im in the same boat as you, I work a full time job for a company Monday thru Friday and do the pressure cleaning jobs on the weekends. Keep grinding bro 🤝
@ Try google ads and LSA as well. I have heard those work very well for home service based businesses like pressure washing! I’m starting my own exterior cleaning up in Atlanta, how long did it take before you got your very first customer?
Get yourself some magnetic signs for the vehicle, some permanent ones for the trailer. Alway wear your work shirt when your not at your regular job. Its free advertising! You will never stop learning about this business. There is ALWAYS, something that you wont know. I'm at the end of my 24th year year in this business, & I still learn something that makes my work better/faster, more profitable. Pricing wise; You must work out your costs! Figure out what you need to charge to cover them, plus pay yourself & have some left over for repairs/replacement of fittings etc. When a customer queries your price, you just tell them, your cost to do business are always going up, never down. Keep at it. If you dont enjoy it, get out of it. It has to be a passion. To the point of obsession. You only have to meet 1 person, who knows someone, who needs your services. And you never know...that person might just own multiple houses, industrial units. Whatever. You never know, what is just around the corner.....good luck with it.
