Something that a lot of people are unaware of is that tires "age out" of service, regardless of the tread that may remain. This is analogous to an old pencil. It's never been sharpened, the eraser is completely unused. But when you try to erase something all it does is smear because the rubber is so hard. Tires are like that. Comes a time you need them to grip and they just slide like you're on ice. So the recommendation is that tires be replaced every six years, regardless of tread depth. To determine the age, look for four digits after DOT. The first two are the week they were made, the second two are the year. So 2516 would be some time in June of 2016. If you don't put many miles on your tires there's no use in paying more for high mileage tires as they will "age out of service" long before you reach 90,000 miles or whatever.
You should have coated the wheel wells with some "undercoating" to help seal the area from water and mud.
Wow! You two seem to be in a way better place than a year ago! Whatever you are doing just keep doing it!!
Haha thank you! Just sort of been going with the flow that life brings :)
@@KelsAndJay Just saw the video talk with your Grandma… then followed that up with the upgrades on your AS. Your response on ‘going with the flow’… that is the lesson you take away from your Grandma. She is correct about looking at time (age) being a blessing… with all the things that can take you out along the way… if one makes it to 80 they are very fortunate.
Happy training and travels
wow your dads friend is really awesome for that i bet your dad is a really good guy
He's the best! 😊
Very sorry to hear about the fire. I am happy that they are okay!! Also, loved seeing that checklist on Jay's phone. Something I must learn how to do! :)
Hi Guys! I've missed you. Jay, you're a great handyman and I know your wife appreciates that. On her behalf, thank you for all you do.
Aww you guys are so fun! Can’t wait see what’s in store for 24’! We must cross paths!
2:00 Never turn your back on traffic in the emergency lane. Very dangerous with people texting, people medicated, people distracted, etc..etc....
All of the weight on the tongue of your airstream. Be careful not to break your RV frame.
Great job…I’ve been following your redo of this 71 airstream. Love it.
Really impressed with your attention to detail in your work but... As I noted in a previous comment by @bigwheelsturning... if you didn't seal the wheel well repair it will "DEFINITELY" leak "EVERY TIME" you drive in the rain. Blessings to you BOTH! Keep up the Good Work!
Aloominum?? your English arent you? how dare you sir...
Break down and buy a cordless 1/2 impact you'll thank me also safety vest for working on side of road
you need a hitch on the back of the AS and then put a hitch-carrier for LOTS of additional storage. :)
What is weigh rate for that axle for a heavier airstream ‼️⁉️🔥🔪🛑😇🙏✝️🇺🇸🏄♂️🌁🔫
If doing 72 mph it's no wonder trailer tire have speed rating exceed it boom .most people Don't know it.
Is that normal wear for a camper tire? I was wondering there was any issue with the wheel balance or alignment that might have accelerated tire wear or if this just happens...?
Great to see you guys. I pray the roads are good to you and always look forward to seeing your journeys and builds. Stay safe
So sorry it’s been a rough time for your family. If they are anything like you, I know they will be strong. Sending love! X
