This is a Pro Open race, which at the time I believe anything up to 800cc went. The commentators mention that at one point, there are Yamaha machines in this race and they did not make a 440cc machine, and generally if the machines lack headlights, it usually shows its an Open class race.

i still believe these are the real races today races are cool but these are more intense they race till there is no more snow literally

They were easier to tide and control than the Dildo shaped sleds of today.

Are these 440's? I know 440's used to be the go-to race cc, but I wonder if these were 600's or 440's?

The Yamaha’s were SX 600 twins.
