After watching this video, I went to look up JP Morgan stuff, and because of recent events, it lead me to a J.P. Morgan titanic theory where he and a lot of his competitors were supposed to be on the titanic and he backed out at the last minute. They theorize that he knew it was going to sink because it wasn’t actually the titanic, it was the oldest of It’s sister ships, either the Olympic, or Britannic, they just switched the names. Anyway long story slightly shorter, insurance on that worn out ship, and most of J.P. Morgan’s competitors died. Sh*t crazy, right?
I'm interested to see how he will be viewed later as a street fighter's villain from the community. While I think he's a slightly more interesting villain than seth, i don't see him having more of a presence than a villain like gill(much less bison).
That story is so old it’s forgotten and has no basis in the canon anymore. The fact that Shadaloo’s accountant is this badass just goes to show how epic the organization really was.

Your video is excellent summary of the story. He sounds like a normal villain. The only difference between him and other classic villains is that most classic villains have no intellect and often suicide to meet their goals. JP is more on Evil Genius side.
I love his character design, as well as gameplay. Very original and also fits very well in SF6 as a villain. Difficult to handle, but not impossible. I do wish the backstory is better though as you mentioned. Would have preferred if he's Bison's peers for sure.
I love villains who use their mental powers, in this case not psycho power, but actual wisdom. It's like being invaded by an advanced civilization, who dont need to bring their capital ships in orbit.
To be fair, the game just came out and if V is any indication, they could flesh him out further throughout the rest of the game's lifespan like thet they did the story back then... I honestly wonder if they left most of the Arcade Endings (like Kimberly and Guile's) intentionally open ended/unfinished to add more to them (or more story routes in general) as time goes on... Simply put, I think it's too early to judge.
the way World Tour ending is set up, and the arcade ones too, makes me think they're gonna add story stuff to the game, most likely with more quests and characters for WT. Feels like the story is just beginning, we don't even find out who the "Asterisk" is. I don't think it's oversight or weak plot, I think that's intentional. For example, Cammy's arcade stuff. She bumps into JP and... that's it. "who was that man?" I don't think they're gonna wait until SF7 for her to find out:D
great summary. But i still think Bison comes back and then the illumanti takes them out as well leaving gill as the main bad guy overall with Urien as a wild card
Instead of JP being a former Shadaloo financial manager and or ministry of finance and money laundering. I would’ve prefer that JP was one of the few people who learned Psycho power from the same master who taught M Bison that power. It would make sense that he would’ve known Bison from his young training days. The fact that he helped to manage his banking skills into nonprofit projects and organizations. Being some world economic forum type member who played behind the scenes of say interpol. That he was responsible for making Shadaloo a major threat. That wiping Shadaloo would allow himself to take the pieces and gain more. It would make sense that JP decided to be more in the open. It would’ve make sense there. Someone with psycho powers. But instead of a criminal dictator. It’s a two faced philanthropist.
I think it’d be cool if JP was disguised as a random accountant of Shadaloo. When he was actually one of the original Psycho users alongside Bison. Maybe he was observing Bison, and perhaps helped thwart Bison is some unknown way so JP could be in charge. Idk just an idea
I would love a JP and G interaction but there need to be more with JP also I want to know why they didn't make a boss more powerful than Gill if the story takes place after III and I want to know what happened to the Illuminati.
I really like everything they did with this character, from how he contrasts with Bison to how he's got all these points of duality about him. The only thing I wish they did was give him a more relevant backstory instead of just being someone Bison brought in off the street.
I loved his in the game. It makes me wonder what the other shaloo members are up too. I wonder if gill's group will play a bigger part in the next game.
Interesting in UDON comics, also in some Street Fighter endings We learn how expanded Shadoloo was. As they gained financial resources from many smaller american street gangs and chinese triads. Balrog was leader of arms dealers. Its clear that JP must have been responsible for managing all of that, or he was some smaller mob boss that joined forces with Shadoloo and slowly build his position step by step.
JP and Gil are the best villains in Street Fighter because they represent something much bigger and frightful. Great bosses to beat the daylight out of!
I wonder if people notice the female character in the background of JP stage she wears light blue and white has a hat on. She also appears in a lot of the artwork that you earn plain Street fighter six
I also believe jp could also be the answer to explain what g and q. Perhaps him experimenting with psycho power by human experimentation that tortured and created g and q by mistake with them going rogue (My theory also works under the theory that g and q are split personality but can also work for theories where they are not the same)
I'm still curious about his possible ties to Q and G, the only legitimate name he has is JP, which strikes close to Q and G's one letter name basis, and of course his lavish taste in clothing. But also like Q and G he remains just as much of a mystery. Yes while he is associated with M. Bison, Shadaloo and even Neo Shadaloo now, what's to say he isn't associated with G and Q? Additionally his whole idea is about deception, in his master interactions he even lies about setting off the bomb, like it happened by accident, what's to say that how much of this is the truth? What if he's more than an accountant? What if he is a disciple of Psycho Power too? A lot of questions
It should be noted JP may be more then what he claims he may never even have told Bison of his power and was just using him the same way. Why take the heat when you can just be the guy in the shadows making all the moves. Now since he feels like laundering some cash he had to get his hands a tad dirty.
jp's probably(outside m. bison in the animated movie/2v.) the 1st street fighter villain to legit scare me as he's a realistic threat more prevalent than ever in our world and really got disgusted at his actions towards kimberly/ken especially and even though his defeat was a real lame way to continue the story with what's not finished like ken's situation(like eliza's thoughts/the worrying possibility of violent ken emerging if ryu doesn't fully confront him about it.) think world tour having episodes with more characters and locations added throughout it's life would be cool with how the cfn database showed the potential it can open. i did think he would be m. bison's master revived sith style or one of the pupils but while funny does make sense he's m. bison's accountant that with how shadaloo's bases get destroyed about as much as dr. wily's castles/the organization falls apart extremely quickly after dictators defeats in 2 and 5 bison just decided to get someone for that in case he fell for good alongside being behind s.i.n's activities. think with how the secret society's mentioned to have fallen into disarray after 3rd strikes events/them also being behind s.i.n reviving m. bison to continue their agenda think gill, urien and kolin will be who jp is laundering money to to eventually make them even more dangerous than before that if handled well would have the characters throughout the series teaming up to stop jp in different ways destroying his ambitions.
I am so glad that evil G theory never came to be and instead we have jp as the next big bad to replace gill and urien (whenever they come back and get their story properly concluded, because this is taking way too long conclude 3’s story)
I think he's well made, I think he needs more time for his execution to really hit. Hopefully they don't bring back Bison too soon and give JP a chance.
I like his character, I think it says something that Bison took an accountant undet his wing(I don't know what it says but Bison never respected or had time for anyone), Plus those Finger-Snap Psycho Power moves are Hectic & Cool as F**k, Plus JP brings some Real Gravitas to Street Fighter ..
I'm about 90% sure JP was just lying about being a random accountant, and he either is a wiser Bison that has gotten better control of his power, a rouge clone of Bison, or one of the 3 student of the original master. I think it would be cool if he was the original master of psycho power, but he hasn't fully mastered it so probably not
So Capcom wanted to move past Bison, and they create a Bison wannabe. Lorewise, he is Shadaloo's accountant who wanted Psycho Power, and now he organises a tournament as well (just like Bison as he states himself in his arcade ending) Him killing Kimberley's uncle is also just a repeat of M.Bison / Chun Li's arc. So lazy and lame. I'll take Necalli's concept over this discount Saruman anyday. TL;DR M.Bison >>>> JP
There are too many loopholes in hes story as well as master ken's story since it doesn't add up .. ken has many rich friends and also military background .. why no one helped him ? Hes one of the heroes .. as well as for jp he should have been caught for association with m. bison since they are a world terrorist (winners write history and the heroes do win )
The idea of a manipulative, but not meglomaniacal welder of the psycho power could've been fun and a nice pallate cleanser from the played out "Somehow Bison returned" plots of SF. His gameplay nicely reinforces this. Things like almost steps on a defeated foes face, but instead confidentally walking over them shows both hubris and some restraint. I was actually glad he wasn't Bison's old training classmate. Making him a banker who has open distain for Bison's ambitions was interesting. We have so few antagonists with more "regular" ambitions. The comic and story don't really follow through on that. The elaborate scheming and deceptions don't read like a dispassionate numbers person. This is just classic mustache twirling schlok. The non ending of SF6 is so meh in part because the theme of strength doesn't fit with JP's role as written in the story. The idea of power and its pursuits being up to wielder is well supported by SF6 gameplay. You are free to borrow moves and philosophies from all sorts of characters, good or evil. However, in the story you are fighting against the convoluted machinations of a Saturday morning cartoon villain. He literally just killed a guy with a bomb in a fighting belt... and then its a reflection on the meaning strength? Go home Capcom writing team. You're drunk
Lol what a terrible concept making him just an accoutant of bison. How does capcom always manage to mess up with story gosh. The way he utilises the power seemed far superior to bison making us believe he could have been bison fellow pupil or master. Nope accountant, and since bison is so iconic im sure when he comes back he'll probably one shot JP telling him he has no idea how to handle that power lol.the story is such a let down coz well there really is no story. They cleverly hid that by doing world tour so kudos to them i guess. Ken is now homeless until g sf7 i guess
I disagree in this point because JP is not an average villain, and that is good. He openly admits that he is not the strongest, and that he lacks physical combat experience, but man, that guy seems to be a lizard... A Level 100 backstabber. He is the type of guy that shakes your hand with one hand, while he stabs you with the another, without you even suspect.
I wonder if it's some strange cultural thing with Japan, where they don't want a new character to "overshadow" an old one, so they purposefully make the new character some lesser subordinate. As a way to not "step on the toes" of whomever created the original character.
JP is a particularly well thought out villain. He's also relatable in the sense that he's an economic hitman - a real globalist villain, and not some kind of cartoon villain like Bison. In the world tour mode and once you get mastery from him, you learn that he thinks having strength is meaningless. JP doesn't use strength, but would rather encourage people turn on themselves through their own greed and failings and profit from their stupidity. He tells the story of his beloved cat that chased and bit it's own tail off, hinting as to JP's own understanding of how people are often their own worst enemies. Bosch's demise is proof of this. What I liked the most about him though, is that he's thoroughly convincing to the player as he tries to paint himself as the misunderstood good guy - by painting the rebels that oppose him as terrorists and their behavior as illegal and unacceptable - and then getting these charges to stick by presenting himself as an upright and upstanding gentleman. As for his nationality - there seems to be some clue from his special moves, like "Chornobog", which is similar to the Ukrainian spelling of "Chornobyl". Very pointed social commentary from Capcom here.
This new cast for SF6 are all boring. I’m sorry but these characters and designs are so lazy and does not match the style of the new SF franchise. Waiting for the DLC to have some real fun with this game.

Feels like the story is just beginning, we don't even find out who the "Asterisk" is. I don't think it's oversight or weak plot, I think that's intentional.
For example, Cammy's arcade stuff. She bumps into JP and... that's it. "who was that man?"
I don't think they're gonna wait until SF7 for her to find out:D
great summary.
I still believe Bison would be a great additional as DLC, hope he comes back and gets his accountant back in line.
Not a fan of his default design. Ditto with his background as just a business guy in Bison's organization.
7:46 Damn I got to practice that, that was sick
haha, just note that the level 3 at the end is a training mode only thing. Obviously won't have Super if you use the level 2 at the beginning
I really like everything they did with this character, from how he contrasts with Bison to how he's got all these points of duality about him. The only thing I wish they did was give him a more relevant backstory instead of just being someone Bison brought in off the street.
If he was bison accountant, he may be working for someone much bigger and more powerful.
I loved his in the game. It makes me wonder what the other shaloo members are up too. I wonder if gill's group will play a bigger part in the next game.
JP is a very interesting character and a unique take on a villain I hope there is a street fighter 6 anime or movie that goes more in depth with jp
So now that Bison is back and better than ever, we can forget about this little placeholder.
I still can't get over that.
Interesting in UDON comics, also in some Street Fighter endings
We learn how expanded Shadoloo was. As they gained financial resources from many smaller american street gangs and chinese triads. Balrog was leader of arms dealers.
Its clear that JP must have been responsible for managing all of that, or he was some smaller mob boss that joined forces with Shadoloo and slowly build his position step by step.
im so glad u made this xause i wanted to kno but didnt wanna play the story
JP and Gil are the best villains in Street Fighter because they represent something much bigger and frightful. Great bosses to beat the daylight out of!
I wonder if people notice the female character in the background of JP stage she wears light blue and white has a hat on. She also appears in a lot of the artwork that you earn plain Street fighter six
I also believe jp could also be the answer to explain what g and q. Perhaps him experimenting with psycho power by human experimentation that tortured and created g and q by mistake with them going rogue
(My theory also works under the theory that g and q are split personality but can also work for theories where they are not the same)
I'm still curious about his possible ties to Q and G, the only legitimate name he has is JP, which strikes close to Q and G's one letter name basis, and of course his lavish taste in clothing.
Now since he feels like laundering some cash he had to get his hands a tad dirty.
jp's probably(outside m. bison in the animated movie/2v.) the 1st street fighter villain to legit scare me as he's a realistic threat more prevalent than ever in our world and really got disgusted at his actions towards kimberly/ken especially and even though his defeat was a real lame way to continue the story with what's not finished like ken's situation(like eliza's thoughts/the worrying possibility of violent ken emerging if ryu doesn't fully confront him about it.) think world tour having episodes with more characters and locations added throughout it's life would be cool with how the cfn database showed the potential it can open.
i did think he would be m. bison's master revived sith style or one of the pupils but while funny does make sense he's m. bison's accountant that with how shadaloo's bases get destroyed about as much as dr. wily's castles/the organization falls apart extremely quickly after dictators defeats in 2 and 5 bison just decided to get someone for that in case he fell for good alongside being behind s.i.n's activities.
think with how the secret society's mentioned to have fallen into disarray after 3rd strikes events/them also being behind s.i.n reviving m. bison to continue their agenda think gill, urien and kolin will be who jp is laundering money to to eventually make them even more dangerous than before that if handled well would have the characters throughout the series teaming up to stop jp in different ways destroying his ambitions.
i think there is still a slight chance he has something to do with g and q
Actually I think him being a accountant works. I have soft for bad guys who start of as henchmen only to rise as villains in their own right
JP Morgan making investments scarier than M Bison and Gill!
JP more sinister and scarier than Bison
JP is black airforce energy fr
I thought he was a magician at first.
2:19 Monopoly Man
Since he looks and sounds like sir Christopher lee whom played saruman and count dooku I would’ve prefer both the Shadoloo accountant and bison master
I'm about 90% sure JP was just lying about being a random accountant, and he either is a wiser Bison that has gotten better control of his power, a rouge clone of Bison, or one of the 3 student of the original master. I think it would be cool if he was the original master of psycho power, but he hasn't fully mastered it so probably not
So Neo Shadoloo was the ones who gave Bosch the psycho powers?
Kinda mad we’re getting stressed out by an accountant.
This is basically real life politics.
Can somebody explain the dif between jp, Bison and Ed's phcho powers plz 🙏
Yeah he's not technically a true psycho power master then so he's kind of less interesting.
JP is M Bison!
JP. You mean from Craig of the Creek?
I hope Ken gets justice and be the one to defeat jp for what he done
He looks more like saint germain
I just want to know who will stop JP
JP IS menacing
They fighting jp morgan now?
Full story is an 8 min video 😢
I had to rewind a couple of times but was JP sitting in a plastic lawn chair at 4:30?
Dhalsim vs JP, two perfects inside 9 second rounds cpu level 6. yoga, yoga, yoga -
The geezer!
JP Morgan? Clever Capcom
JP > Gill
I kinda wanna agree, but I need some time. I am liking him (especially since I'm actually playing him).
So Capcom wanted to move past Bison, and they create a Bison wannabe.
Lorewise, he is Shadaloo's accountant who wanted Psycho Power, and now he organises a tournament as well (just like Bison as he states himself in his arcade ending)
Him killing Kimberley's uncle is also just a repeat of M.Bison / Chun Li's arc.
So lazy and lame.
I'll take Necalli's concept over this discount Saruman anyday.
TL;DR M.Bison >>>> JP
I think this was a very interesting way to introduce a new Boss character.
JP is extremely handsome
Jp gots hella tan
just give me gill
damn jp in the comic is even more dilfy wtf
There are too many loopholes in hes story as well as master ken's story since it doesn't add up .. ken has many rich friends and also military background .. why no one helped him ? Hes one of the heroes .. as well as for jp he should have been caught for association with m. bison since they are a world terrorist (winners write history and the heroes do win )
Harlem Shake 😢
The story in the comic was so promising. Everything about this game is great but the story is a real let down as usual IMO.
You're drunk
waiting for Kimberly’s canon event when she become spiderwoman
Promo-SM 😞

Maximum spam zoner jp
one of the worst Street fighters
This new cast for SF6 are all boring. I’m sorry but these characters and designs are so lazy and does not match the style of the new SF franchise. Waiting for the DLC to have some real fun with this game.
JP is about PRESTOR JOHN or PRESTOR JOHANNES a MYTHCAL KING in Asia. For fuck sake man.
