Lucy canned the kids after the 3rd season, because she wanted to be the sole focus of the show. The network wanted to keep Candy because she was popular with male teens, but Lucy wouldn't have it and threatened to quit the show herself, if they kept Candy.
No wonder the kids were hardly on the show; they were too busy making these commercials. Looks like Mr. Mooney (this would have been his first season) didn't appear in them, though. Nothing like being teacher's pet.
In these spots for Lux (when Lever Brothers was the evening's sponsor), Lucy preferred NOT to participate in them, as she was too busy overseeing Desilu's operations.
Loved Lux soap
The episodes were in color at this point, but the commercials were in B&W.
Just can't get enough of Candy Moore! What a cutie/sweetie pie!
I wonder why Lucille Ball never appears in these commercials?
Chris Jerry and S'herman were really fun kids

I love how Chris only washes her cheeks! LOL
Hope they got extra doing the commercials!
Supposedly it was revealed that Candy Moore was actually sensitive to Lux Soap...so she was lathering her face with whipped cream!

Actually they probably couldn't afford to have Lucy in the commercials. I'm sure Vivian and the kids came at a much cheaper rate.
