Today we are going to learn how to play "Layla" the famous unplugged version from Eric Clapton's famous unplugged album. One of the coolest things about this cover is the complete reworking of the song. I love it when he starts to play and says "see if you can spot this one" and everybody screams but they have no idea, because they are just excited, then the riff comes in and everybody is listening until the first verse when he starts to sing and then everyone knows exactly what song it is and they start to shout. The working of this song includes a very cool riff that is playing in the chorus and a strong key change down half a tone from Dm to C#m and then back up to the Dm again as they alternate back and forth until the solo.
