As a zerg player, I have lots of respect for Maru. He's my favorite terran player. I thought for sure he was going to beat Rogue. GG Rogue is keeping us Zerg proud. :)
@Manuel Delgado are you high? Zerg is designed to be that way, you have to leverage your midgame advantages into things like more bases, or damage to the enemy if you want to win the late game. Or just take a really good fight.
I was thinking a montage of Maru's SCVs getting killed... or maybe of Rogue killing SCVs. I think you could find footage of a million deaths by this point.
Man I was pulling for Maru. I watched him this entire series and was really hoping he would make it to the Grand Final. It's been a while since he's made it.
the entire tournament showed incredible games and Rogue vs Maru was epic. the winner absoltely deserved the victory . SC2 is better than ever. best players, best balance and best game design since release.

Don't cut away from the battle until AFTER the GG! I hate when players GG before the battle is over. But this is even worse. The camera cut away from the battle before the GG.
Watched Rogue run circles around Classic and thought "hmm maybe he can fight against Maru's godly marine pushes"... didn't leave disappointed. But realised they are teammates, there's probably some higher strategic decision to maximise the team possessing the winner of the finals? Maru did well to shut down Rogue's economy in the first 2 games, but what's amazing is Rogue's mind games. And Rogue seems to know his maps better, knows the potential for exploitation better. As teammates they probably practised a ton against each other... they must be cracking their heads wondering which set piece the other is going to create every 5 seconds of each game. The adrenaline...
at 16:25, this sc2 is too strange, why would a pack of marines run away from a couple of packs of zerglings, this wouldnt happen if medics were available.

How can a game be balanced if the only way for one race to win is to constantly harass the opponent, cancel or kill multiple hatcheries and so on? If it were truly balanced, you could have both Zerg and Terran sit back and macro up and it would be anyone's game to win. But no, leave a Zerg or Protoss alone for several minutes if you're Terran and you're basically guaranteed to lose. And, even if you do successfully punish the Zerg all through the early and mid-game, there's still a good chance that he can just tech up to ultras or broods and win anyway. We almost saw that happen here; only Maru's godly play kept it from happening. Great series regardless, though.

@@BudhaXIII yeah because we didnt see classic kill 20000 hatches and zerg is still fine with "comeback potential" but as soon as rogue kills classic's one base it was gg. zerg are totally not overpowered
In the last game, Rogue sacrifice his mutalisk for Maru tank. I think that moment Maru must realize Rogue prepare for big ground attack and build more tank.
Maru did make some crucial mistakes. He lost a couple of games due to not closing the walls and turtling more effectively against the rushes that he saw coming.
I thought Tasteless was bad but Maynard was really fucking irritating here. Kind of glad he was starting to lose his voice at some points. We get it, you need to hype a large arena, but not that much.

Amazing series but... These SK guys need to start addressing and making eye contact with Smix. Their SC game is great, but it wouldn't hurt to start upping their social game a bit, haha. The few and far in between that do come off way more natural and friendly. TLDR: Stop being scared of pretty girls you dorks.
Yeah, 75 lings + 12 banelings + another 60 lings all at once (instantly morphed into banes) is fucking ridiculous. I get that early game they're pretty weak and slow and so two lings for 50 minerals isn't op. But late-game mass cracklings is insane. I can't even count the number of times I've seen a Terran dominating a Zerg, only for the Zerg to come back by doing run-by after run-by with cracklings, knowing Terrans don't have any static ground defenses (apart from planetary fortress) and can't leave much if anything at home if they want to have a chance of beating the main Zerg army out on the map. Now that the anti-armor missile has been nerfed, Terran is weaker than ever.
