Chatty usually has dialogue telling us he won’t last much longer, i wonder if Iguazu and Snail have that dialogue if they end up living since we didn’t get to see it because of how fast the phase was done, it seems to depend on who is close to the worm before it does its massive AOE at the final phase.
@@HeinzBeanz2002 it seems completely random as to who is where in the arena and so who gets randomly hit by the worm when its moving around. On my S rank run of the fight I managed to do it even quicker than Yumi here because we get to use double stun needles so you can stagger shots in phase 3 to one cycle it and nobody survived despite the fact it literally did no attacks.
The spacing on the assault armor right before the sea spider was amazing. I also used a few of the routes you have from this run (the one I never saw anyone else but you do was skipping the door after rummy by going around the backside lol), but this taught me a ton! Did you route all of this yourself? If so, you are extremely skilled at routing, and even if not you're still awesome at the game. Subbed!
Other random thoughts: the initial placement for cataphract stagger was amazing haha. It's a big featureless ice sheet and you still managed to get in the perfect position.
Since I went with my unique build that nobody else was using, majority was routed myself like most of the checkpoint reloads I tested pretty much every checkpoint to see if it might be faster, fights made work with the weapons I prefer using and such. Lot of runners however come to the same conclusion one you've played a few times. Few things I didn't discover was the dialogue skip on the early destroy helicopters mission, where someone literally mentioned it in one of my older videos comment, that you can skip it and it blew my mind as I never thought you can actually avoid that dialogue. Rummy door skip was discovered on AC speedrun discord. And lastly balteus2 checkpoint skip after 4th generator I saw in a video, what confused me is that the "checkpoint reached" message doesn't appear until later but you can still reload and are on the checkpoint, which is surprising. Makes me wonder how many other checkpoints can be triggered early like that. And yes for cataphract positioning, it is just in front and little to the left of the mound of snow (its like a covered ac wreck or something), he will always come this way so easy to wait there. Anyways, glad you enjoyed the run~
@@BonesMoses there are better options on new patch for all S rank hunting and such, for speedruns you just run on old patch (don't update game). overall good patch though for casual playing, these shotguns and stun needles were way too strong~

Really love the manual missile aiming and the force-resetting to checkpoints. Well played! Its annoying this game doesn't have multiple save files. Was wondering what you think of allowing AC load-outs vs not. Obviously it makes it a lot smoother / quicker but it does take away from it a little bit as you have to do some setup and its not really "NG" if you get what I mean.
Yea having multiple save slots would be nice. When we were discussing speedrun rules, AC data for me was simple solution - it makes the run faster and thus is used in speedrun. As a feature indented by developers which stays even after erasing your save file, I like using it as it does not rely on any 3rd party tools or anything. And it has less menuing and more playing the actual game in the run too, making it more fun to play. But there is also a category where AC data is not allowed if you check speedrun.com. I just went with what is fastest and more fun run to me, but for people who like the menuing and such there is a competitive category too, so basically run what you have the most fun with~
Some of my favorite bits of speedruns are menuing optimizations. Plus, not using build files makes it feel like someone just downloaded the game, and that to me is a fun little fantasy
In my experience, MnK feels really good if you get your keybinds down. To me, the most awkward is assault boost(CTRL) and your shoulder weapons(Q and E). Everything else is manageable
MnK keybinds feel awful and this isn't a game of precision like an FPS. On a design level, Assault Boosting sucks on MnK and for that reason alone it'll probably never be "the best"
@@猫矢ゆみ yeah I'm trying new builds for each mission , yours is my last measure for difficult bosses . I was surprised how easy Walter was with this build , didn't even take 20 seconds . It's shocking how much difference each build makes in taking down bosses

you can actually get hit by the splash damage if you are near the explosions attacking the other MTs, that's the only reason to "hide" so be careful. As for pile, you don't get Basho hands that early in the game and without them the pile damage is not as high while requiring more difficult setups. I still prefer Cleaner and Spider to be done with this setup. However yes for later bosses like cataphract, raven, vespers and onwards using pile bunker, or actually chainsaw will be the optimal strategy in most cases. I just went with a simple strategy that is easy to use (just spam double trigger double bumper).
Hello, awesome video! Liked and subbed! This content has me very interested in trying out speedrunning the game. But I also very much enjoy the PvP with all the parts. Does anybody know of any way I can backup my save file, so I can regain all my progress and parts whenever I want to PvP, and still get in to this new game speedrunning? Or any way I can do these without erasing my previous save file? Is there a way to be able to do both? Thanks in advance
Yes you can backup your 100% save by just making a copy of the AC60000.sl2 file located in C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\ArmoredCore6\[YOUR STEAM ID] Then whenever you want to load that just replace the file with the one you backed up as 100% and you have your full progression. And yes, the game remembers your AC data, colors, emblems and all, even when you erase your save. It is used in speedrun to speed up the shopping and building.

WIthin a minute one way or another from the initial testing with "average" strategies. It is hard to measure exactly as there are possibilities to swap to a faster build for the fleet mission for example, but you need to then perfect the fight with low firepower (pilebunker one shot sand such, terminal armor heal skip was also a discovered bug that sometimes happens there etc). Even then I still believe that even with the most optimal strategy for each mission, this ending would be a faster thanks to some of the checkpoint skips. edit: there are now multiple strategies found that might point towards FIRES OF RAVEN being the faster run, at least until we find faster strategies in this ending. Such as the rusty terminal armor skip has been made 100% consistent and is no longer a theory.
fresh new game as you can see at the start, you can just make your ac data presets beforehand (if you know what you are going to buy) to save time going to the assembly and putting the parts on individually and such, they are saved similarly to how key config and such is saved and do not disappear when you delete your save progress.
Only few seconds as only the first 2 missions, but the RANTSETSU RF buff (over 35% more dps) did save a lot, which is the 2 rifles I buy at start. Made strider leg kill practically free fast kill.

You're not supposed to play like this on your first playthrough, I put solid 50 hours into the game to finish everything, all logs, S ranks and all and only then went for the speeeeeed. For me speedruns give a reason to continue playing a mechanically fun game where you have finished all the content, and AC6 is really enjoyable to control just quite short.
