You should definitely try Wing Wua in Edinburgh, I think it's way better than the one in Charlieville. Also, City Wok in Sando IS A MUST. It's absolutely delicious
The traditional places in Marabella is Wans and Golden Palace - the latter used to be the best with the pepper but people are now saying its dry and tasteless. Sim Yi in Freeport is pretty good and reasonable /large portions and can quickly make a wide varieity esp if you are used to ordering many dishes and not just fry rice and chicken.
Yup, the last time I had golden palace it was ok, not as good as I remembered it growing up and the only problem I’ve with Wans is that they are inconsistent, like in this one it was good but a time after this it was ok
I eat from 2 chinese restaurant mostly, one in Arima opposite Massy stores and one in Grande like 5 mins away from the hospital. Their food is delicious
Nice drive Rajeev, there are a lot of Chinese restaurants in Princess Town, 1 just after you come off the traffic light on the left side, 1 over the road from Detour store, 1 over the road from St Michael's Anglican school Craignish Village and 1 in the Matilda before triangle
Thanks for making these videos, I can't wait to visit home and try some of these spots you feature. I especially love how you list the USD prices as well.
Best Chinese food is Golden Palace in Marabella. They're a bit on the pricey side though. Their fried pepper shrimp, roast pork, butter chicken are great.
Chinese food my favourite take away, thanks for showing some potential eating places. Consider reviewing fried wontons from different restaurants Vibes.
Great video as always. I love town restaurant so seeing Chinatown was a big surprise as I thought they would have kept that standard up especially at that price point (also totally agree it's nonsensical that lunch special not being available on Saturday as they don't open Sunday). Maybe a revisit of this with seafood/vegan or even best combo for $60 or less would definitely make a great sequel to this video.
Wan's generally is pretty good Also good - Sando - pagoda , city wok, ma pow Matilda - garden Chinese restaurant (opposite the MP office ) their Hong Kong stuff is great. Rio Claro - Golden Dragon Sangre Grande - Hang fai or Centura (popular for their ramstyle)

These prices are cheap for a combo plate. In Chinatown Los Angeles, you can't get a chow main, fried rice and roast chicken combo plate for $5. More like $10, and generally the restaurant food tastes the same, more or less. The food might be better in areas populated with Asian Chinese. The Wing Hua and Ying Ban chicken looked like it was just cooked, and moist. The bar chicken looked like it was reheated. You should try Guyanese Chinese fried rice and chow mein.
