Maybe they used the purple sweet potato boiled, mashed and kneaded into the dough to get the roti purple. I too hope it is not food colouring that is used.

That’s a specialty roti they have at R&R but I’m assuming it’s food coloring cuz my tastebuds knew it was a soft and nice roti I was eating, plus they have other colors as well but only the purple one was available at the time

So for Valentine's Day you'd get red/pink, for Halloween he does black, the purple may have been in celebration of International Women's Day....they are very creative with their roti colours and stuffings, one of the best rotis in the East!
Boy I from south went to school in Point Fortin we use to buy roti from khan's roti shop in Point, last time I was in Trini went there it was horrible.
I wish the roti shops would introduce choices of small, medium or large roti. That way folks would just purchase as much as they can actually eat or afford. Also they can have children's size, because kids cannot eat those really large rotis. Just a suggestion

The Warrenville roti shop moved out. Passed today and it had a for rent sign on it. Just before this place I buy my roti. The best. 10/10 in quality.
