Out of love, out of time,
gotta leave you now,
dream of mine.
Morning’s bitter,
bronze to blame,
spelled me asleep in it’s frozen frame.
There then gone through drifting days,
underworlds in red, black, blue and gray.
Once bright and free,
so hard to leave.
Right ’til the end,
the swallowed sea.
Circles on circles when gray’s run the game,
the gray runs the game.
Circles on circles when shadows remain,
the shadow remains.
Once felt your fire,
warm and near.
Until it burned everything,
searing sneer.
Evening’s promise,
all the same,
spelled me asleep in it’s frozen frame.
Here and now through drifting days,
collisions in red, black, blue and gray.
Bend then collapse,
eventually
we all submit,
we all deceive.
Circles on circles when gray’s run the game,
the gray runs the game.
Circles on circles when shadows remain,
the shadow remains.
Circles on circles when shadows remain,
the shadow remains.

I wasn't ready, like, at all.
Thank you for existing.
Took me by suprise a bit, too. But I really dig it. Just like Run Dry back then - gets better and better everytime you listen to it. They also made a song with Kyle Durfey (Pianos Become The Teeth ... Just in case ;)) for this album. Love Caspian, love Pianos ... Can't wait to hear that shit. Two more fuckin' weeks, man.
@@mygrandpasayshesd.b.cooper6200 PBTT is one of my favorite band haha I CAN'T WAIT
Goosebumps and tears on how beautiful this song is.. One day I pray to see you guys live, art that I’ve cherished over the years. Thank you
Every time I listen to this song I reimagine what it’s all about, so many different interpretations seem to fit - is it about someone having to give up on an artistic dream, or war and PTSD, or divorce, or terminal illness and passing away? Probably none of these. But every time I change my perspective on it, it’s like hearing it for the first time. That’s not even going into the actual music. Love it.
Phil, you killed this track. This album came at the time in my life when I needed it most. Lyrics from my favorite modern band who is predominately instrumental at its core. Then suddenly a message that it's okay to undergo arduous moments of hopelessness, depression and feeling uninspired day after day...being a painter it can be brutal as im sure any craft has those same emotions... and just continuing on anyways. What a beautiful perspective. Swirling circles of gray are what i've been consumed in for the past 3 years. It seems some circles are truly continuous and we're all on the merry go round together, to lift each other through art is how we connect at the deepest level, and yes the shadow will remain. But i will push through it. Thank you.
It's totally unnecessary to "undergo arduous moments of hopelessness, depression and feeling uninspired day after day" ... one day you'll wake up from the illusion....see its illusory nature, that nothing REAL comes in that flavor. Life is bliss. Good luck brother, I've been where you've been ; )
beautiful
Grazie , Caspian , in questi momenti bui siete la luce da seguire
Siamo tutti uniti nella speranza
stunning.
More singing plz. I loved Caspian instrumental and this is like kicking it up a knotch. Sounds great lads. Can't wait for the next album.
Singing is amazing you dudes. I wasn't ready either!!!
I’m so happy this just popped up in my feed . This is beautiful .

keyboard is beauty in this
Amazing!
The new album is fantastic. This song touch my soul. Much love from Spain
Sigamos disfrutandolos. Un saludo.
Thanks for this gem.
my 2020 fav so far
Sweet ❤️
I’m seeing Caspian in Buffalo. Can’t wait! Best band ever.
Holy Smokes, after listening to this stuff and liking Caspian so much, I just wonder what if Caspian had lyrics from the beginning?!! Thanks for proving you are great both instrumental and lyrical, I love Post Rock but sometimes I just miss some peep there singing out, this music it's so human and without lyrics ohhhh there's something missing sometimes!
Seguramente mi canción preferida del 2020, y estamos a marzo.
❤️

Wow
💜💜💜💜💜💜
Hermosa!!
PD: el sonido me recuerda un poco a Balmorhea
Lo mismo pensé! Pero más al estilo de Caspian

My only problem with this song is that it isn't longer.
Anyone know where the thumbnail art originates? Would make a sick tattoo.
Alright, this is killing me, Is the vibrato digital? It sounds too tight, like the pitch correction. Don't get me wrong, I love it.
Wait did Chris from TWDY do this video?
Yeap.
Can somebody tell me how to play this?:(
I covered it the other night. This isn't quite perfect but if you tune to Drop D and put a capo on 5 (giving you a fancy G chord) you'll at LEAST have the opening chord sounding pretty accurate and then you can noodle around to get some of those harmony notes. the whole verse is just a G chord with descending harmony notes which I pulled off by playing higher up on the A and D strings. The pre-chorus is an Em (could barre the 14th fret) a D (12 fret) and a C (10th Fret). Finally, the chorus is an A (barre the 7th fret), A#(8th fret) and then a C(barre the 10th fret). You can mess with fingerpicking and adding harmonic notes on the a and d string and I got close enough to this but I know there's no way that's quite how he plays it. Open to other ideas!
Tuning is C-G-C-G-G-D, most all of the chord formations are played in the low 3 strings. Hope that helps.
@@LastMilitia fantastic. I knew it had to be a low tuning just wasn't totally sure what. Can't wait to mess around with this some more! Thanks Phil!
