Finally made strawberry cake! I don’t make cake a lot so this might look shabby hahahah but it’s the emoji 🍰!

- 3 egg whites
- 3 egg yolks
- 70g sugar (30g + 40g)
- 55g vegetable oil (or any neutral flavour oil)
- 60g milk (I used soy)
- 90g cake flour
- 5g vanilla extract
- 15 - 29 strawberries
- 450g whipping cream (add sugar if you would like it sweetened)
Baking pan dimension: 7’ x 2.5’ (17.8cm x 6.4cm)

I just tried to bake the cake and Oh my god Its sooooo good reminds me of angel cake. The fresh strawberries and cream its SOOOO yummy! I'm gonna make this again.

you’re quite lucky,I tried this recipe and my cake was super flat lol. Ended up not even putting the cream,just ate the flat cake like that

THANK YOU. Just made this yesterday, and I loved this recipe! I used almond milk rather than soy or regular and it came out nice. My only issue was it felt slightly dense after it finished cooling fully, but I think I either over or under beat my eggs, so be super careful during those steps. Otherwise an amazing recipe that the family loved, and I will be making again!
So I tried to make this cake for my birthday and it came out beautifully! Even tho I suck putting on frosting and I used frozen strawberries cuz I'm broke but still love the recipe!

I don't know how some people get their cream so smooth, but I always found that smoothing cream onto a cake was also kind of whipping it, so it becomes over mixed. I try to under whip a little, and handle it as little as possible. Cake looks FAB. Chiffon is really difficult I've only managed to get it right the once. ❤❤

this looks so nice, is there a substitute for cake flour if it's not commonly used where we live?
I’ve tried substituting it with a mixture of plain flour and cornstarch before! There is a difference but might help ☺️

can u use a hand blender when blending the whites and can u use normal icing for the cake? thanks!
You can use a hand mixer (any tool or device with a whisk attachment) for the egg white but not too sure about an immersion blender since I’ve never tried! And yes you substitue the whipped team with a different frosting or icing you prefer, it might not be as airy or light tho ☺️

can I use normal flour instead of cake flour ? Also i love this video sm ! ! < 3
would recommend sticking to cake flour as it might not be as fluffy and light and the measurements will need to be adjusted!
i made this cake for my mum's birthday. Mine did not come out very spongy because i think there is issue with my old oven. It turned out nice and cute. I also don't bake a lot so for the first time it was not bad.

😅 It's not as sad as one made with cool whip and slightly damp strawberries. Also, the cake was freshly baked when it was decorated. Everything was sliding off 😅. I'm glad I watched your video. Hopefully, mine won't be a disaster this time around. 😅
