#streamelements #chatbot #command
Edit: many have reported that the game portion of this is not working, but I can't reproduce that issue. it works totally fine for me.
I'm told that if some of the chatbot stuff isn't working, a good thing to try is having the bot leave your channel, log out of streamelements, log back into stream elements, re-add the bot to your channel, and try again.
i had to change a few things it didnt work for me either but thank you so much. Can i ask how you get those special tabs in chat like that?
oh its your phlare bot im talking about i think thats real cool. Do u have a video on that?
@@tashaleettv8756 what did you need to change?
@@tashaleettv8756 you may be seeing something that either betterttv or frankerface is doing for chat. Both are browser extensions that have a billion options to edit the twitch interface.
@@tashaleettv8756I don’t have a tutorial on the ai pngtuber bot…. Yet
Thank you so much for the help you're a life saver
Yay!
Much appreciated! As an aspiring streamer this helped out alot! :D
Lucas says hi
Epic shout out to Phlare! Been having issues with the formatting of shoutouts for a while. Simple and easy to follow. Much Appreciated.
Thanks!
i appreciate how simple you made this video with no other added stuff. no complications
@@chichi6908 what you don’t want a 5 minute story about how i first encountered the shoutout command and what it really means to me?
@@Phlare 😂😂 i literally just had this experience for something else and that’s exactly the first few vids i got. They gave a “why i like it, why its useful, where to use it, etc” im like please i just need this one thing….and its like a 10min video 😭😭
Ur vids are so helpful specially with ppl who needs answers FAST
Thank you for this video, that was super helpful! Much easier than typing the full /shoutout twitch command
You’re welcome! I recommend doing both sometimes too!
Omg bruh fr fr ty my new brother and friend I've been searching high and low for this exact answer u got my sub here on YT looking forward to future content pertaining to stream elements and all its updates in functionality
Thanks! I’ll keep em coming, slow as it may be ;)
I added this to my Favorites playlist.
If you replace channel with User for now it seems to work at least until fixed. After testing it in stream it seemed like it wasnt working, but testing off of stream it did.
Thank you so much! Helped a newbie a lot!!!
Thank you for this! Big help!!!
You’re welcome!
Yes logging out of stream elements worked for me
YOURE AMAZING!!
Haha thanks!
Very helpful. Thank you.
I want to know what do I add to show the clips of the person I gave shoutout for
@@mananmehta7025 check out twitch.so/home
Ty for this video
You’re welcome!
Thank you very much. ⚡️
You're welcome!
Hey i had a question, after doing the SO command how can I add in the bot to play a clip from their channel? example !so and it does the normal shoutout in chat but then also plays a clip from their stream onto my stream like an alert
the easiest way to set up a shoutout clip thing is to use one of the hundreds of widgets out there that people have set up.
i used to use the one from overlays guru:
twitch.so/home
thanks helped a lot
Yay, happy to help
Shot in the dark, but can you de-list certain people so it does not shout them out? I get shouted out often but I only streamed twice for some irl friends :D Thanks for the vid anyway, peace
Not with streamelements, no. Streamer could do something like this easily with streamer.bot though.
@@Phlare Ah, right on! t I think i'll figure that out, and a quick way to explain it to streamers that may be inclined. Thanks for the heads up! 🍻
thank you!
You're welcome!
So something changed I'm assuming on the twitch side but the ${channel ${1}} and the ${game ${1}} no longer work. Also the ${1} now includes the @ when the text is generated. This had to have happened shortly after you released this video.
Yeah this is unfortunately a “known issue” on streamelements right now. They broke something
Can follow this thread on their
Discord:
discord.com/channels/141203863863558144/1108443527261720617
Another user reported that having
The bot part channel, then log out of SE, then log back in and have bot rejoin channel may fix it
I thought this too, like when they messed up the Songlistbot's ability to see if users were active. But the other chat bots are all pulling that info from the same place with no issues lately.
thank you!
Thank you so much:)))
Do you notice how it's NOT showing the game title though? It's right in your example. It's been doing that for a while. Not sure why or how to fix it.
Can you send me the response you have put in? Should work
@@Phlare it’s the same one you showed. I reached out to StreamElements today. They responded that it’s a known issue but there’s no ETA on the fix 😕 the command IS correct, it just hasn’t been working for a few weeks.
@@dfoxxy1 ok interesting. We’ll thanks for the heads up!
Yes it's been broken now for a while and shoutouts won't work anymore. How can they mess it up like that and then not fix it? Known issue my ass. They simply imcompetetently changed the code and broke it and haven't changed it back to a working code. What gives @SE?!?
@@-Mohog twitch has been changing the API quite often too, so they also need to keep up with those changes.
I don’t personally use streamelements very much anymore except to help other people figure out how to do things in it and to make videos. I’ve moved 99% of my bot stuff to streamer bot
Thank you making this guide. How would you code the shoutout command for RUclips live streams?
I don't really have any expreience using streamElements with youtube, so i'm not sure what would be different. I don't believe the "game" variable is available there, but you can probably do something like this:
Go show ${touser} some love at youtube.com/${channel ${1}} i'm not sure if this will work at all though. sorry i'm not more help with youtube live, maybe i'll start streaming there some more just for academic purposes.
@@Phlare thank you I really appreciate the help. I will try the command and let you know if it works.
This is no longer working for me... I think the changed their command variables. Has anyone figured out how to do it as of the latest update?
This is a “known issue” according to streamelements. A fox is likely on the way
hi phlare, so im new to streaming but i really want to set up unique commands that i can use that has a personalised shoutout for certain people who follow me, how would i go about this? i still want to use the base command for general shoutouts and have that set up along side the unique shotouts, i also need to know how to set up the command for the base shotout aswell as mine seems to be falling far short of what i intended for it to be
This video here should still work for setting up the base shoutout.
For the rest, there are a number of ways to do this. In StreamElements, you may need to just make one command each
I'm very new to this. How do we get the @ to work?
It should just work. Does the command not work for you with an @ ? I know streamelements has had some bugs with chat variables lately so maybe it’s just that.
@@Phlare AHH Ok O hope that's it. Right now I have to type out the whole name. Thanks for your help. Great videos, I subbed to keep up with them.
@@BrokenArrow0 thanks!
Why is there nothing like this for RUclips Live yet?
Because RUclips’s chat API is horrible to work with, apparently
Streamer.bot is a great solution for RUclips though
I have been trying to figure out to target a raider to just do an auto shoutout for people who raid. I don't have mods currently so this feature would be amazing!
I think a good starting place would be to go into modules and turn on the chat alerts module for raids, and you could use the message there to essentially give a shoutout.
For anything more advanced than this, I recommend a more advanced bot like streamer bot.
@@Phlarefor some reason when I used ${user} it wrote the user like this $tombeckhauser it just kept the $… so I guess no dollar sign?
response type?
Should work with whichever response type you wish, reply will add the response as a reply to the command instead of just sending a new chat message
broo it says someone elses stream how do I fix that?
What says someone else’s stream?
i’m a mod on a streamers live how do i add a command that allows me to go like !command @user and then it would give me the printed phrase. for example if i wanted to !waterballon @user then stream elements proceeds to say you just threw a water ballon at insert user here with out making it have @user i just want it to say the users name without it @ing them?
did streamelements fix the shoutout command?
They did not. In my testing both the ${game} and ${channel} variable sets seem to be broken. They’re aware of it and likely working on it, but no word yet.
@@Phlare thank you
${game ${1}}
Quick, fast and easy to follow ==> +1 sub ♥
did you want me to tell you a 10 minute story before i got to how to do it? this isn't a recipe site.
@@Phlare 😂😂😂😂😂
Shout me out 😊
