Phenomenal explanation of phrasing - it almost brought me to tears as I really felt the music through the phrasing - so beautiful and so important for dancing - thank you Vaughan!

Never thought of the music that way. Awesome. Thanks Vaughan.
Keith Adolph that’s great, give it a shot and tell me you feel
@@BallroomMasteryTV will do. I went to an intermediate Quickstep class last night and they counted us in on beat 8 man using his left foot. They said this was the preparation step. I couldn't work out when they started the count. I mean sometimes we were half way through the song. Just an idea for your next counting video.
Extremely good video! I was struggling and the explanation was so helpful! Thank you!
Thank you for enjoying it: what else would you like to learn?
@@BallroomMasteryTV how to count foxtrot? 😭

Dance Time app is free and a lot of fun to play with, you can play with words to help as well. You can say one, drift, drift so your waltz doesn’t become mechanical. Slow quick quick, andslow quick quick for foxtrot etc. I can see your body moving to the time between the beat as you count the beat. Great video.
Peter Beyer thanks for the tip! That’s awesome, keeping time is one of the trickiest things to do when mastering dance.
Great!

Now I start to feel the music like a poem, a sentence, a paragraph, and I also start to inhale, exhale from phrase to phrase according to the mood... Thanks for the concept of phrasing! What's name of the music? Cannot identify it by Shazam

great! please tell me the name of the song at 9:30
Hey, Vaughn. Can you please make a video on how to hear the beats in the Cha cha/ Rumba. I seem to have the problem of finding/hearing count 1 in the middle of a song. When it's the beginning of a song, i start counting and there are no problems. However if i stop counting for a couple of seconds and then try to find count 1 again, it's difficult. Thanks and keep up the good work :)
Oooooo this is a big one! Ok I’ll see what we can do
@@BallroomMasteryTV Thank you so much. I would appreciate it if you could at least try :)
@@BallroomMasteryTV Did you ever produce cha cha music/beats video?
