    Outstanding Alexey!!!! Really wishing I had had this years ago! This may seem so simple to many, but to those of us who never had a music class in school and didn’t grow up in a music filled house, this is a breakthrough in clarity. The correlation to grammar is what I was always missing- this all makes sense when you explain it. We appreciate you!!

    Very good basics. You are so right about having the musicality before getting the steps down. Good Job!

    Thank you so much for these videos on musicality Alexey! I’ve struggled with counting measures for a long time because none of my dance teachers have explained it. This is going to be super helpful 💕

    How can I distinguish beat 1 and 5 when the drum is on 1 and 5 too

    • @ballroomwithalexey3951
      @ballroomwithalexey3951  2 года назад +1

      This is a great question.
      It’s not that easy to explain but I will try my best.
      To do that you need to listen to the whole eight count phrase. And pay attention not only to the drum beats but to other instruments.
      If you do that then you’ll feel that the first beat always will feel like a beginning of new sentences.
      Beat 5 will fill like a continuation after comma in complex sentence.

    Alexwy, what metronome app do you use? I am a drummer and this video was very helpful so thank you. :)

      apps.apple.com/us/app/blocs-wave-record-music-live/id1085697317
      I use this app in my video. It’s not actually a metronome app, but you can use it as a metronome.

    Thank you very much Alexey! I mean counting Samba, Cha Cha or Rumba isnst that hard, but do you have tips for the Jive? I hear the 4/4 out and know the counting of the basic steps and drunken sailor but still have problems to dance to the rythm correctly
