When my adult kids discovered him on their own, they were blown away that he's the guy who sang "Return to Pooh Corner". That song was such a big part of their childhood.
Love that song
Just saw him live in September of 2023. What a show!! House on Pooh Corner! If your kids live Winnie, let them listen with you!! You all will ❤ it!!
Kenny is an amazing singer!! Check OUT "THIS IS it" and "DANNYS song." He also did a great duet with Stevie Nicks called "Whenever I call you Friend." It's a beautiful song.
We sang my Mother Home last month, sang her all the way home into her Savior's arms and she's is no longer suffering pain and disappointment, not to mention stage 4 cancer!
He’s a great vocalist and is overlooked because he’s done so many soundtracks.
I have been a Kenny Loggins fan from the time he got his start, from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Loggins & Messina, to his solo career and I have always loved him, his talent is extraordinary, he does it all! Singer, song writer, musician, performer. We don't have talent like him anymore. We were so blessed back in the day to have people like him. This performance was something very special.
Kenny Loggins is amazing !!! As a single performer and with Loggins and Messina … amazing every which way !!
Kenny also sang the theme song, Danger Zone, for the movie Top Gun. He and Steve Perry, former lead singer of Journey, did a duet called “Don’t Fight It”. This song was written by Kenny, Steve Perry, and Dean Pitchford. Another great song. One of my most favorite songs from Kenny is “House at Pooh Corner”. He wrote this song during his senior year in high school at the age of 17 as he contemplated his impeding adulthood. Love this song!
Check out Danny’s song by Loggins and Messina . A song he did for his brother Danny after the birth of his son Collin
Loved him in the 70s
If you have never heard of Kenny Loggins, you have just opened a new world for you!
He was in a duo called
Loggins & Messina. They have some good songs. Then when Kenny went on his own he blossomed! He has so many great songs.
It doesn't get more 1980's Americana than this guy. Keep going, he's fantastic.
he is a lovely highly talented artist who works with great people and never has been an ego driven guy .
Great singer, 27 hits, including "House at Pooh Corner", This is it", "I'm Alright". Good for a deep dive. Was also part of the duo, Loggins and Messina.
Seeing him live is a treat. Seeing him live with Michael McDonald was just outstanding. It was a small place called Gathering on The Green in Mequon, Wisconsin a few years ago. You just have to get into his catalog. And don't miss out on his song "House On Pooh Corner" for which he needed very special permission to record after writing it. You might want your kids to listen along too.
Oh.. trust me, you’ve heard Kenny! He’s a great singer/songwriter and musician.. deep/wide rabbit hole if you choose to dive in! Have had the joy of seeing him in concert a couple of times - he’s also a great entertainer! Thank-you for sharing this and your enjoyment of it!!
One of my all time favorite singers,
Me too
Love him! You need to listen to Forever, I'm Alright, I'm Free, ....just too many to list.
Kenny Loggins has sooo many fabulous songs.. he’s amazing!
Such a beautiful song…😊❤ Kenny Loggins & Loggins & Messina. You might know TOP GUN “Highway to the Danger Zone” 😊❤
House At Pooh Corner is special. Especially having children.
That's my favorite of all his songs. I was a kid the first time I heard it.
Kenny is the best. I listen to him all the time, even now. My favorite song by him is probably "Whenever I Call You Friend". You have to check it out. 2nd fav is "This Is It". That's a great one to sing to. Check em out! :)
I loved Kenny and Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina - House at Pooh Corner was special when my daughter was growing up......
Check out some Loggins and Messina. That was an amazing video! Never heard that song before.
I had the pleasure of meeting Kenny yrs ago ...He was extremely humbly, open and low key ..It's reflected in his music ..awww to have a world filled with more Kennys
I can't imagine living in a world not knowing who Kenny Loggins is.
ETA: Congrats on your citizenship!
Exactly
All the albums saw in concert
...love Kenny!
This is played primarily during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
I saw him in concert at my University in October of 1982 for the Home Coming Concert (New Mexico State). The arena held 15 thousand and there were only 2500 there, he called those in the nose bleed section down, and chased security away. Then he did an over twenty minute rendition of this song. From here to Pooh Corner, to I'm Alright, to Danger Zone, to Footloose, and Your Moma Don't Dance.
Kenny has one of the most expressive voices and has so many great songs to discover. I think you'd like "Danny's Song" and "Angry Eyes".
Yay!! You've found Kenny! OMG, his catalog of music is amazing!
I've been a fan of Kenny Loggins for over 50 years. I saw him the first time in concert about the time the album "Sittin' In" with Jim Messina came out (1971?). He has an extensive songbook if you need another Rabbit Hole to check out.
pooh corner is one for the whole family.
This has become a Christmas standard song.
First time I met Kenny, I thought he was a basketball player. He's 6'5" and has lungs for days, total breath control.
NO Autotune! Just sayin'...😎👍
Saw him again last summer at the Hollywood Bowl. He still sounds amazing and his songs make you feel good! Thanks for this reaction!
His voice makes cry tears of joy.
I’m lucky enough to have seen Kenny Loggins live many times through the height of his career. Highly recommend Conviction of the Heart from this same concert. A treat to watch you discovering this artist. His legacy is everywhere.
What a beautiful reaction to a beautiful song!
You'll definately want to check out "Return to Pooh Corner" (which is House at Pooh Corner with an extra verse), "I'm Alright"(from Caddy Shack), "Footloose", "Danny's Song", and "Your Mama Don't Dance". Just too many good ones to mention them all!
Angry Eyes
He is the voice of the original Top Gun song Danger Zone.
Kenny Loggins song ……Return to Pooh Corner… (from Outside: from The Redwoods). A live performance..
which he wrote for his children…
A must for you…. From the Winnie the Pooh books…
Kenny has so many amazing songs..
Watching the River Run off Full Sail is a great one
Kenny’s duet with Stevie Nicks “Whenever I Call You Friend” is a great tune. Stevie said that he pushed her nearly to the point of quitting to get the vocals he wanted from her. Listening to the song, it’s hard to argue that it is technically about the best we’ve ever heard Stevie sing. Kenny, of course, sings pretty much everything to perfection.
Absolutely incredible by an incredible artist. The sax was phenomenal in this number. I’ve always the sax. My dad played the sax in his younger days.
That was do cool the way the sax came in!❤️ I also thought it was Kenny because he can hit the high notes❤️ their timing was Perfect!❤❤❤❤
still listening to this album almost fifty years later. so fng goood.
Thanks, Sebs. Perfect timing. Kenny has a said the song wasn’t really a Christmas song as you pointed out but just about someone (him) being away and missing home. Others have pointed out a bunch of his other stuff and for some reason he hasn’t really manifested in this generation.
You will enjoy any of his live performances from concerts at the Red Rock in Morrison, CO or in Redwoods in Santa Cruz, CA. These are both outdoor venues and they were both televised. Great reaction. Thanks!
Congratulations on your Citizenship. Check out Danny's Song. Footloose Danger Zone
❤❤❤ Kenny
Obscure K-Log. Never heard this one, but he has so many bangers for you to listen to. A couple of my favorites are "This is it" and "Your momma don't dance." But the one your kids might know is "House at Pooh Corner"!
This song added to holiday music radio playlists...everywhere
Hands down my favorite Christmas song 🤗
Love this song. Never seen this live version!👏
Beyond words ❤❤❤
"Meet Me Halfway" is my favorite of his songs. And it's from the Over the Top soundtrack. 💪
The recorded version is very complex, this is purposely kept simple. Still so beautiful. I highly recommend This Is It.
I love this song. This is a great live. Kenny Loggins is a force. When you get a chance please listen to the studio version that was released of this.
I love your joy watching this video!
This is one of my favorite Christmas songs, listening to it driving home for Christmas- 45 years ago!
Add to your list Loggins & Messina
“Pooh Corner” - ALBUM version
and then
“Return To Pooh Corner”
live Outside At The Redwoods.
They’re not too long,
do em back to back. Watch with Ali 😢
You will absolutely have fun with "Don't Fight It" performed by Kenny Loggins and Steve Perry... check it out !!!
He co-wrote the Doobie Brothers "What A Fool Believes" and does an amazing live cover with Michael McDonald (from Outside the Redwoods). Also studio version of "This Is It."
His Celebrate Me Home album is awesome ❤️
Kenny’s Live album is spectacular.
Since you really liked this, I would like to recommend Gino Vannelli with "I Just Wanna Stop". I have no doubt you will love it also.
Kenny Loggins also sings the Theme/Intro song for the movie, Top Gun .... Dangerzone!
Sweet Reunion
I'm Alright (theme from Caddyshack) is so much fun!
This is one of my favorite non-religious holiday songs. If you want another GREAT live performance with an awesome sax solo, you have to check out, Billy Joel - New York State Of Mind (from Old Grey Whistle Test) it's stellar!!
Actually this is played on some stations at Christmas time.
One of my fav' songs of his and this is the best version ever. You've gotta check out "Christopher Robin" sometime.
You should hear House at Pooh Corner or Return to Pooh Corner. Love Kenny Loggins.
House at Pooh Corner!
Sooo happy you are starting down this MAN . Love Loggins.....feel in love with my wife with Leap of Faith Album playing 24 /7 in 1990.....tears bro ....thanks
Just watched your Aarron Neville/Linda Ronstadt duet video. When you get a chance, check out The Neil Diamond/Barbra Streisand You don't bring me flowers duet at the 1980 Grammy awards video. If it doesn't bring a tear to your eyes, nothing will. Watch it with your wife by your side.
Kenny Loggins is such an underrated singer. Since you are on this train, you should also try Michael Bolton. Any of his live performances would be great, but "When a Man Loves a Woman" is top of the list.
He also did Top Gun
Loggins and Messina "House at Pooh Corners, Danny's Song, Your Mama Don't Dance" to name a few songs. Band from the early 1970's. I know I have a copy of Sitting in.
This is from Kenny's concert on the rim of the Grand Canyon (1992), but by the time he sang this song the sun had set so you can't see the glorious scenery. Great concert. It was filmed (entirely?), and much (or all?) of it is avail on YT. In 1993, he did his amazing concert Outside From the Redwoods (of northern California), which was equally fantastic and beautiful. One of my favorite Kenny songs is from that concert: Leap of Faith. You can find it here: ruclips.net/video/AvhVSgqgAu0/видео.htmlsi=Az8GSdpv0uhCQXsQ. Leap of Faith from the Grand Canyon concert is also good -- a little different -- and I can never decide which is better, but I love the guitar solo by Chris Rodriguez so the Redwoods version gets the edge. Anyway Kenny is always phenomenal. He also always had great percussionists, who were always a lot of fun to watch -- the busiest musician on stage at a Kenny concert, LOL! Please do more Kenny, especially live.
BTW, other movie hits he's known for, besides Footloose, include Danger Zone from Top Gun, and I'm Alright from Caddyshack.
Goosebumps galore. GREAT live performance. This album came out just about the time I graduated from college. My best friend and I went on a road trip and we played the hell out of this album in the cassette player. Had followed Loggins & Messina for years and was sad they broke up. But this album opened a new chapter and really highlighted Kenny's talent.
With all the super massive hits of his, you reacted to an unknown song? Well, at least you now know him. :)
Awesome 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤
Try Danny's Song by Loggins and Messina
Happy July 04th
You should try some Loggins and Messina - You Need A Man/Coming to You, Your Mama Don't Dance, My Music, Danny's Song.
This and Jennifer Holliday’s 1983 Tony Awards performance.
I think people really do know one side of Kenny, the song tracks, and yes, Footloose but don't know his albums. He is one of the most versatile singers who really wrote wonderful lyrics and added so much musicality to every song. "Now that I know love" is from the 90s and really showcases his talents. ruclips.net/video/aQl6DhfjOQE/видео.htmlsi=vAwZYjafZdO9Grvn
ALSO..a new voice on the airwaves is from Brazil. If you have not heard Gabriel Henrique, I am sure you will love him and will love that he could sing this just as beautifully. Check out his performance of "I want to know what love is", on a rooftop, with a choir, in Brazil. Buckle up. Since Kenny, Gabriel is the first voice I've heard that could honor him. Hope you listen.
AND...check out "Sweet Reunion" from this concert ...Kenny lets loose a bit!! AND..Kenny live in the redwoods, singing "I'm alright" and the last 4 minutes are him, shining the spotlight on his friends who were more than just pretty faces.
You opened this rabbit hole!!! And don't forget Gabriel. You'll really love him!
Kenny wrote a lot with Michael McDonald. Aces.
Kenny Loggins partners with Jim Messina singing "Poohs Corner" I've requested this awhile back if you can squeeze it in
It's funny you called this "baby making music". That's what he sings and then once you've made that baby, check out his children's albums "Return to Pooh Corner" and "Back to Pooh Corner" where his does children's songs in a way that the parents will love them too.
How did that page mention footloose but not highway to the danger zone from top gun?
Everyone, on here, seemed to be forgetting all his award winning collaborations, with Michael McDonald 🙀
Check out Love Will Follow by Kenny Loggins.
Logging and Messina - en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loggins_and_Messina. Check them out.
Try Now And Then live at Redwoods
Dive into his career and you'll find it is amazing
You have to react to turn studio version of “This Is It”.
If I had to guess-stimate... Mr Loggins did 60% of all 80's soundtracks
Pooh's Corner is my favourite
you will also like return to pooh corner
