I stopped watching American Idol after Adam didn’t win. I was so pissed he knocked every song out of the park. Standing ovation every time. It’s was the best show ever.
Adam Lambert sang in honor of Cher, the show was about her. This song was written by Cher....a tribute to her ex-husband Sony Bono... short after his death. Quite a love story.......
This is the performance that brought Adam into my view again. I saw him on Idol but I was in the middle of my divorce and lost my connection with him as an artist until covid comes and I find this video and did a deep dive. To me you really haven't seen Adam at the top of his game until you see and hear him sing Who Wants to Live Forever with Queen at the Isle of Wight.
First time I saw Adam Lambert was with my mom when he first auditioned on American idol. It'll be a great memory because we both cheered him on to win! My mom is now on hospice and that was a great memory that you brought to me today. Thank you so much! I'm smiling and crying at the same time
The first "performance" I saw of Adam Lambert was his American Idol audition where he sang 'Rock with You' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. I instantly thought that anyone who has the ability and versatility to pull off Freddie and MJ songs for an audition has a future in the industry.
Adam Lambert (w/Queen) / Who Wants to Live Forever Isle of Wight Festival in 2016. They dedicated the song to “anyone who has been a victim of senseless violence or hatred” and specifically to the victims of the shootings in Orlando = Amazing & Powerful ♥
My first Adam Lambert performance thay i saw was his American Idol audition (Bohemian Rhapsody). Adam is a wonderfully weird rabbit-hole to wander down. And, for his performances with Queen, he never tries to BE Freddy. He just works his tail off to honor one of his heroes each time he takes that stage.
Adam lambert sure does fit Freddie’s shoes and love the way they allways bring Freddie on to sing at the concerts they do he is just amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️🌈🌈🌈🌈🫶🫶🫶
Adam will be the first to tell you there is no replacing Freddie, but as a huge fan himself, his goal is to honor Freddie by keeping the music alive. Roger and Brian are over the moon thrilled to still be filling stadiums and arenas wherever they go. Brian calls Adam their Gift from God. Queen + Adam Lambert sold out 20 shows (more than half a million tickets) in North Anerica this fall in about 30 minutes, and they're doing six more in Japan in early 2024. If you're interested in how the collaboration happened, watch the documentary The Show Must Go On. It has a ton of great Queen history, too. Well worth the time.
I thought the first time I heard Adam Lambert perform was on American Idol, but what I did not realize is that I had heard him live at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood when he was in the production of the musical "The Ten Commandments" as Joshua. At the time he was not famous and hardly known, but that would change in 2009.
Adam is one of the best singers, his vocal range is 3,5 octaves, almost 4 octaves and he can sing more genres of music - rock, pop, opera, he can change the character of his voice from soft velvety to rock sharp. His live performances are even better than studio recordings, without using any voice technics helpers, he is perfect!! Thanks so much for your great reaction!!
I watched Adam on American Idol the year he was on. At the end of the Finale I tweeted out "I can't wait to see you & Queen in concert" & I have seen them twice!! I truly believe that Adam is the best vocalist of this generation, 21st century maybe even EVER!!!!
Adam Lambert is a phenomenon. There’s a reason why Queen wanted him from the first time they heard his awesome voice on Idol. This particular performance was sublime.
Adam Lambert has one of the most powerful and dramatic voices I've ever heard. He's a special gem. As said below, Who Wants To Live Forever with Queen is breathtaking!
My first experience hearing Adam Lambert was when he auditioned for American Idol. However, he had been in a musical and one of the judges recognized him immediately. He auditioned with a Queen song. Later in the competition, Queen came on to sing that same song with Adam. They had instant chemistry and ended up touring together for about 10 years now. Adam’s range is phenomenal. You really should check out some of his work with Queen!
I followed Adam through his stint with Idol and he was absolutely stunning every single week. Everything he did was creative, original, amazing. IN the final he sang with Queen -- who does Freddy in a talent show with Queen?? He also did some Led Zeppelin which no one on Idol had ever done. He was cheated by losing, most thought it was because he was gay that he lost -- now just tell me who won that year? You've never heard of the guy... but Adam took it with grace and then set out to show everyone who the real star was... his work with Queen is amazing, he doesn't try to be Freddy, he's Adam but the rest of the band love him as do audiences.
i watched adam lambert when he was in agt. i thought he was good, but wasn't too impressed. but when i saw him singing this song a few years ago, i was truly impressed. he did himself and cher proud. you know you are doing good when other professional singers are enjoying themselves listening to you sing. adam seems to have greatly imporved since he left agt.
Cher's expression of Adam performing this song was priceless. It's so heart warming to hear how different singers can perform such phenomenal songs in their own version.
I have appreciated Adam since his audition on American Idol. His vocals and performance on Idol was something we hadn’t seen at that point, but didn’t win? Now, this song? Cher’s version was a high-energy, techno club dance hit. Adam’s arrangement in this shows his musical brilliance!!!
Adam’s not win it’s a reflection of the americans conservatism 😅 Adam has a strong personality and no way He would hide he’s gay. And thank’s to his parents that support and are so proud of him ❤
Adam has many great songs of his own. It is just another hole you should explore. 💖 First time I heard Adam was on American Idol, I was devastated when her- only tood 2nd place. I have followed him ever since. Amazing artist. Another one that Simon Cowell told him he wasn't good enough. Never been so happy for someone to prove Simon wrong.
Adam is a trained legit singer. He left the Wicked tour to go do American Idol. He can do it all. There's a documentary that covers his journey to joining Queen. He's amazing.
I can’t believe you’re reviewing music & have never heard this song. It is iconic. He is the best singer of this generation. To attend a Queen + Adam concert is a sensory overload experience. And his solo tours can’t be beat.
I first saw Adam on American Idol. He had been performing with the Broadway show "Wicked" I believe he said in his audition. But he did covers of Michael Jackson's "Black or White" & a cover by Smokey Robinson "Tracks of my tears". He also did the main song for the movie "2012"
This was the Kennedy Honors with Cher being one of the honorees. He was paying homage to her but made the cover distinctively his which brought Cher to tears!
Hi Sebs. My wife and I watched Adam on American Idol when he competed. We both thought he should have won. He did win by getting the gig with Queen. He does justice to Freddie's songs. I love your reactions. Thanks for all your efforts.
@@rowanmayfair9249 That is a fallacy. The money is often ploughed into the winner. Adam is an anomaly in talent shows and generally a freak of nature, being as much a once in a lifetime vocal and performance talent as Freddie was, but as he told his mother on the final, "I really wanted to win.". However far his talent (so very far above any other talent show contestant, winner or otherwise) has taken him in the past 14 years and whereever else it may take him, he will always have the tag of "runner-up" to deal with.
@CandleLight1974 I'm going more by odds. If you look at every contestant, the ones who didn't win had a better chance, by far, of going further. Again, based on the odds and number of winners vs. other contestants. Yes, they may pour all that money into the winner, but statistically, they don't fare well.
While I prefer the Cher version of this song, Adam Lambert perfectly showed how to cover a song. He didn't imitate Cher but took the song and put his own spin on the song which highlighted his talent and the beauty of the song.
Cherʻs original song is epic. Itʻs one of those songs that just makes you want to dance, it has a very uplifting message, and itʻs definitely something youʻd hear over and over in a club. Itʻs one of Cherʻs greatest hits. Adamʻs take on it was so different and personal that it definitely brought an honorific tone to it that Iʻms sure every single person in that room felt. It was absolutely beautiful.
Been a fan of Adam's since his audition for American Idol. I think that while his range and skills are insane, Adam has a passion and knowledge of how to use the different dynamics in his voice and to channel his emotion into his performances that is unparalleled. He's insanely good.
Please watch his Queen stuff. Also in this performance he builds the song to the Climax. He's completely amazing. I've seen him Live 3 times. Best vocalist on the planet.
Adam is the best singer of the world. I remember his audition on AI with Bohemian Rhapsody and thought that he was incredible and now he has been fronting Queen for 12 years.
The first time I saw him perform was on American Idol (kinda, a friend emailed his Ring of Fire performance on RUclips, back then Fox would kill bootlegs as soon as they spotted them). He was so good actually watched the show the following week, and I've seen him live many times since, solo and with Queen. He's just the best there is right now, even better live than recorded. (And I've seen the best of them live, notably Freddie & Plant, he totally holds his own with them.)
I second previous comment, pls react to Queen+ Adam Lambert performing “Who Wants to Live Forever” Isle of Wight festival in 2016, it is phenomenal, you will love it! Adam I belt is the only person who could take up the role of frontman for Queen, saw them in concert in Melbourne Australia in 2020, best concert ever! ❤️
One of my go-to songs of Adam's is Runnin', which ranges from a low-register chest voice to much higher head voice. Adam's solo music is great, as are the covers he sings, and hearing him sing live is out of this world. With Queen, his voice together with the modernization of staging, sound, etc., makes Queen's music sound current, though performed completely live; no backing tracks. For a fun twist on "Believe," find Adam singing The Muffin Man in Cher's voice to the music of Believe on Jimmy Fallon's show recently. The guy can make anything sound good!
I watched Adam compete on American Idol and you could hear and see the magic when he sang with Brian and Roger at the finale. Brian said Adam didn't win but it was lucky for him because he was able to go on and work with Queen. I have tickets for Chicago performance in Oct
First performance I saw of Adam Lambert was his American Idol audition. Glad he didn’t win because he has been able to walk his own road & is an absolutely fantastic singer & performer ❤❤
I first saw Adam Lambert on American Idol, and I was pretty upset he didn’t win. He’s only gotten better since then…IMO he’s one of the most talented vocalists in music today. Great range, epic belting, he has the grit for rock, the drama for musical theater- the guy can sing anything. He’s brilliant as the front man for Queen,; he skillfully manages to honor Freddie, while not trying to imitate. I’m surprised that his solo work hasn’t reached the level of success that I’d think he would have. His debut album had some high charting singles, but he hasn’t really reached superstar level…at least not yet.
Adam is a beast musically. There is nothing he can't do. Absolutely one of the best out there. A deep dive into his music would b a treat for u and us.
First heard Adam Lambert when he auditioned for American Idol in 2009. He flipped that show on its head and it has never been the same. Give a listen to his rendition of Marry the Night. Or anything from his time on American Idol. He did A Change is Gonna Come on the final. Unbelievable.
I loved it every single time Adam performed on American Idol. He is a top-notch performer who cares deeply about his craft, and it shows. In my humble opinion, he is one of the greatest performers on planet Earth. This rendition of Believe is my favorite. All love to Cher...but this is the version I love.
I feel in love watching him on American Idol. He created his own arrangements of cover songs. He also sang with KISS and Queen on Idol. Definitely worth checking those performances. Track of my tears was my favorite that He covered
I love this cover... it's simply a pulled back version in every way. Simplified music, slowed down a bit.... in my opinion it's the PERFECT tribute to this song and the perfect artist to make it everything it could be.
I was so done with American Idol when his season started. I wasn’t even going to watch it. I just happen to have the tv on when he made his first performance. I was stunned at how good he was. I watched it every week after that just to see him. He sang that season with Kiss and Queen and was accompanied by Slash on one song. Then I saw Adam on his first solo tour after American Idol and then again in 2021. He is amazing in person. The voice, the makeup, and the stage wear - perfect. I am going to see him perform with Queen in Nov. They completely sold out the arena in 15 minutes. I basically had to cash in my 401 to pay for the tickets (kidding), but it will be worth it to see Queen and Adam together.
Cher crying makes it even more beautiful.
If you can get a legend like Cher, give you a standing ovation your amazing.
Adam can literally sing ANYTHING
It doesn't matter whether he won on Idol.......feels like he was destined for success.
from the time of American idol until now his voice gotten 100% better
I stopped watching American Idol after Adam didn’t win. I was so pissed he knocked every song out of the park. Standing ovation every time. It’s was the best show ever.
Mee too. Loved the ricker Chris? Been awhile
Cher's "Believe "was initially a fast disco style song. Adam changed it to a ballad.....gorgeous!
Adam Lambert sang in honor of Cher,
the show was about her.
This song was written by Cher....a tribute to her ex-husband Sony Bono...
short after his death.
Quite a love story.......
When you make Cher give you a standing ovation performing the song she's most critical about, you know you did it damn right.
I fell in love with Adam when he was first on American Idol 😍 and I've loved him ever since! 🥰
I became an Adam Lambert fan from the very first audition of his on American Idol.
Adam Lambert is a 🔥artist.❤
This was at the Kennedy center where Cher was awarded a lifetime achievement award.
At last a singer who have a VOICE !!! Absolutely briliant and versatil ! Check his Nessum Dorma in Italy. And also at last your nice reactin on him. ❤
His cover of "mad world " on American idol was amazing.

Best male vocalist ever!

When I watch that video I become mesmerized by the sound of Lambert's voice. The entire video is so captivating!!
Agree, I love this performance. Sebs needs to watch this one too.
Absolutely 💯
Adam Lambert with Queen
Isle of Wight
"Who Wants to Live Forever"
A Must Watch ! ! ! ! !
That 2016 performance was absolutely mind blowing, Adam gave the most incredible heart felt performance
My first Adam Lambert performance thay i saw was his American Idol audition (Bohemian Rhapsody). Adam is a wonderfully weird rabbit-hole to wander down. He has so many good songs, I look forward to you finding them, Adam is amazing.
I first saw Adam Lambert fronting for Queen in Denver, CO. I was totally blown away.
His voice is absolutely beautiful... I love him.
Watched him on American Idol. He’s truly amazing. His music is truly “””ABOVE”””
Cher loved his version so much that she gave him the rights to record it.
Adam got a standing ovation from Smokey Robinson when he covered a song of his on Idol.
Adam lambert sure does fit Freddie’s shoes and love the way they allways bring Freddie on to sing at the concerts they do he is just amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️🌈🌈🌈🌈🫶🫶🫶
Mr Lambert has a beautiful voice and the range he can hit is fantistic.
Cher’s version is very dance club and totally different. Adam’s version brings a depth

Great reaction! I got a kick out of you saying "Unbelievable" right after Adam Lambert finished singing "Believe"! That cracked me up!

His interpretation of this song is truly beautiful. The original by Cher is different but still amazing!
Adam’s version of Ring of Fire on American Idol just blew me away….🔥🔥 BTW I am 67 yrs old and just love his voice
I Am too 67 And I Have Been In Love W/ Adam Since Idol !!!
Adam Lambert's rendition of SOAKED, 2010 in Indianapolis, Indiana, his birthplace.

Adam Lambert, I can't stand the rain version. Is awesome.
Another suggestion is Daughtry doing Journey Seperate Ways
Adam earned a permanent musical place in my heart since his first audition with American Idol. Of course, he should have won his season.
He should have won - but probably lucky he didn’t.
@@bela516Maybe but we’ll never know bc that moment slipped away. I stopped watching the show because of his loss.

Adam was always the best at taking a song you knew and loved, and completely changing the arrangement into something magical.
I was so moved. Loved it ❤

It is just another hole you should explore. 💖

I basically had to cash in my 401 to pay for the tickets (kidding), but it will be worth it to see Queen and Adam together.
Adam can sing ANYTHING! He is sooo good. Love him
I get chills every time I hear Adam sing, he’s incredible
I have tickets to see Queen and Adam Lambert in November! I'm so excited.
