The problem with declaring someone "mentally unfit" to bear arms is that a government will completely take advantage of this and decide that they will control who is declared "mentally unfit" to own firearms, because YOU asked them to (they will love this, they are just waiting for US to give THEM permission to do this very thing). I get what you are saying and I agree...but the problem is, to whom do we give the great responsibility and power to declare someone unfit? Because many people do not trust 1. the government, and 2. the psychiatric community, so we are to allow these two entities to evaluate and decide who can bear arms and who can't? Where is this in the constitution? The problem is not with firearms, it is with mental illness and the US government doing away with inpatient mental health facilities, or state hospitals, because of mismanagement, patient neglect or abuse, wokism, etc. Instead of reforming these institutions they just let all the mentally ill people out on the streets and didn't give them any resources to be able to successfully live in regular society. And then throw in rampant drug abuse that is literally frying people's brains and making them unable to function in regular society, and you have a recipe for disaster. And then throw in the cruelty of social media, young children and teens being unsupervised and allowed to watch deviant behavior (you know what I'm referring to), playing violent video games and watching violent movies and listening to violent music, and becoming numb to and viewing such material as "normal", then you have a society of disconnected humans who have no social skills, but worse, no empathy for other humans, and no respect for human life. Should mentally unfit people have the right to bear arms? Not in an ideal situation, however we have moved way past the point where we can control that scenario, it is too far gone. My point is, when you ask the GOVERNMENT to police and control WHO can bear arms, you are essentially giving up YOUR constitutional right to bear arms because you will have no say in the matter when your GOVERNMENT says about YOU (because you speak out against their tyranny), that YOU are unfit to bear arms, and they show up at your doorstep to take away all of YOUR firearms and ammunition. So we should be very careful about what we ask our GOVERNMENT to do, because they will jump on it as soon as WE THE PEOPLE say to our GOVERNMENT "you need to fix this". Trust me, we won't like how they fix it.

Know that there are Tom fans that watch your channel all the time. The meaning of woke changed when loud groups in society that self proclaimed as woke started behaving aggressively towards people with different opinions. They started forcing their views in people's faces everywhere. If you didn't agree you were canceled. In all aspects of entertainment it was pushed on people. They started making the subjects that they were woke about the central theme of everything. They exalted it above the vehicles of entertainment. Entertainment took a backseat to their ideologies. They stopped caring about all their fans, and and only cared about the ones that cared about their ideologies. They forgot that the fans were purchasing entertainment. Scripts were all about ideologies and storylines became an afterthought. It invaded spaces in entertainment were large amounts of people didn't pay attention to politics, and didn't want to. People that were never involved in the culture wars , and politics got involved, because they felt forced into it. But it wasn't in the way that the entertainment industries, and Democrat politicians wanted them to be. People from all political backgrounds coalesced behind Trump. As far as entertainment goes, some reactors take one for the team. They go to the movies, and tell their viewers it has been woked up. They watch tv series and do the same. Even they are getting tired of it, and are starting to say they will not watch things based on it's trailers. There are beloved franchises, that I don't even get excited over new announcements for. Hey! 👋 I’m a longtime fan and new subscriber 😊 I laughed when you talked about vetting people for mental illness and allowing stable people to have weapons and unstable people cannot. I bumped your song Unstable for YEARS 😂🤣 But that just goes to show that people change significantly over time. I have issues with regulations that could be weaponized against citizens bearing arms. Mental illness regulations are a slippery slope. They may be well intentioned but once someone is labeled “unstable” what recourse would they have when reached a better point in life. That can end up as a lifeline label that you can’t escape. 🤷♀️ I don’t know, that’s just my opinion, what do you think?
The government shouldn't have a say in who owns firearms since we have firearms to protect ourselves from the government. The reason why people are commenting that you voted for Kamala is because you quoted her, yes, although I've never heard her say what you quoted her as saying. I was told by a detective that 5 people can witness an incident and give 5 slightly different versions of events. It’s all about perception and everyone perceives things differently. There is always 3 sides to every story, his, hers and the truth. But both he and she believe theirs is the real truth so saying his or her truth it’s only stating what the individual believes and not necessarily the truth. People need to stop being so sensitive over every little word others say. Half of the planet needs a trip to the hardware store, I’ve heard bags of cement are on sale. I love that you conversate and share how you feel on the topic. I agree, and I have felt this same way a long time, on guns. I'm for the 2nd ammendment. I'm against them taking them away as well, but also there definitely needs to be a better vetting process. I feel, personally, that 18 is way too young to allow someone to purchase a gun. I understand that there are a lot of mature 18 yr Olds out there that know how to handle them, but I feel there's more that aren't mature enough yet. I feel around 25 is when that should be allowed and have a way stronger vetting process for sure! Unfortunately, there are ways to get illegal guns, just like with anything else, but I do think the legal way needs to be handled better! (Of course don't get it wrong, thinking that I don't think the illegal way should be eradicated, of course it should, I'm just speaking on the legal way in the moment lol) #HOG4LIFE
Problem with more scrutiny of who can own guns depends on who is using the scrutiny because they can be super sensitive and just deny anyone they don’t agree with them politically.
The problem with the ‘we need to get who can have weapons’, is that those who well and truly want to do something bad, don’t care about laws. That ‘vetting’ is pointless when you can’t stop people from walking across the border. You think guns don’t cross just as easy as drugs? What needs to be done is ‘protecting’ what is being attacked. Which politicians refuse to do.

When it comes to the right to bear arms I think you are correct. The only thing though is laws only affect law abiding citizens, not criminals. So what we need to figure out as a country isn't so much what laws to create to fix this issue but how to keep them in the right hands after they are handed over the counter. Or something along these lines.
Most of the time they get it from illegal means anyways. Or steal it from someone who did get it legally. Really it's the more armed and responsible people would reduce crime

They made more gun laws in Chicago after the government was dropping unregistered firearms on the south and west side back when Obama was president. You can see how well that turned out for the people here.
What's the more likely scenario: a mentally ill person with firearm attacks you or a criminal attempting to rob you with a firearm? Red flag laws are a slippery slope. What's to stop someone from giving your name to the authorities, all because you had an argument with them? Then, they take your firearms until you're examined. Meanwhile, the person you've got beef with knows you're unarmed now and pulls a kick doe on you.
Krizz, there is a slight problem with preventing people with Mental Issues from getting guns. You can't do that UNTIL they have been legally declared Mentally Incapable of having guns by a Court of Law. Every time you buy a gun in the United States; you have to fill out a background check form that goes to the ATF AND FBI. One of the questions on that form is whether you have been declared mentally unable to own a gun via a court of law. What is the one thing that most of these people that have done these mass incidents have in common? The majority of people, if anyone, doesn't know that these people have mental issues until AFTER they have committed these acts. I would also suggest you consider that the MAJORITY of these events happen in Gun Free Zones where guns are already not allowed. Now imagine if there were security guards that are ex-military vets that are armed to protect the schools. I'm sure that would eliminate the majority of these mass incidents.

Thank you for doing Tom videos I’ve really been loving it!!!! N this one they rented the tank n nova did the editing with jets flying. They released it I want to say 4th of July or Memorial Day….. n my grandson was not even a year old at time but he loved it n fist pumped to it everytime it came on. Now he is 2 1/2 n still is a big Tom fan. ❤ it’s adorable….. I definitely agree with what you say as far as agreeing with most of what Tom says in his music. But even if I don’t agree I don’t hate on it. We are all different people with different views n opinions. And that used to be what made this country so great. I bumped your song Unstable for YEARS 😂🤣 But that just goes to show that people change significantly over time. I have issues with regulations that could be weaponized against citizens bearing arms. Mental illness regulations are a slippery slope. They may be well intentioned but once someone is labeled “unstable” what recourse would they have when reached a better point in life. That can end up as a lifeline label that you can’t escape. 🤷♀️ I don’t know, that’s just my opinion, what do you think?

People need to stop being so sensitive over every little word others say. Half of the planet needs a trip to the hardware store, I’ve heard bags of cement are on sale. I'm against them taking them away as well, but also there definitely needs to be a better vetting process. I feel, personally, that 18 is way too young to allow someone to purchase a gun. I understand that there are a lot of mature 18 yr Olds out there that know how to handle them, but I feel there's more that aren't mature enough yet. I feel around 25 is when that should be allowed and have a way stronger vetting process for sure! Unfortunately, there are ways to get illegal guns, just like with anything else, but I do think the legal way needs to be handled better! When it comes to the right to bear arms I think you are correct. The only thing though is laws only affect law abiding citizens, not criminals. So what we need to figure out as a country isn't so much what laws to create to fix this issue but how to keep them in the right hands after they are handed over the counter. Or something along these lines.
Most of the time they get it from illegal means anyways. Or steal it from someone who did get it legally. Really it's the more armed and responsible people would reduce crime
@PolitikPolitik-fh2qc Yes, exactly. Laws only have an effect on law abiding citizens. For the everyday person just trying to live their life, an armed community is a polite community.
They made more gun laws in Chicago after the government was dropping unregistered firearms on the south and west side back when Obama was president. You can see how well that turned out for the people here.
What's the more likely scenario: a mentally ill person with firearm attacks you or a criminal attempting to rob you with a firearm? Red flag laws are a slippery slope. What's to stop someone from giving your name to the authorities, all because you had an argument with them? Then, they take your firearms until you're examined. Meanwhile, the person you've got beef with knows you're unarmed now and pulls a kick doe on you.
Krizz, there is a slight problem with preventing people with Mental Issues from getting guns. You can't do that UNTIL they have been legally declared Mentally Incapable of having guns by a Court of Law. Every time you buy a gun in the United States; you have to fill out a background check form that goes to the ATF AND FBI. One of the questions on that form is whether you have been declared mentally unable to own a gun via a court of law.
What is the one thing that most of these people that have done these mass incidents have in common? The majority of people, if anyone, doesn't know that these people have mental issues until AFTER they have committed these acts.
I would also suggest you consider that the MAJORITY of these events happen in Gun Free Zones where guns are already not allowed. Now imagine if there were security guards that are ex-military vets that are armed to protect the schools. I'm sure that would eliminate the majority of these mass incidents.

Will it be our government, psychologists, therapists, psychiatrists, your neighbor, you, or me?
