HOG = Hang Over Gang. Tom was an alcoholic for a long time. He and his friends were always drinking - not necessarily even to get drunk, but they associated having the best time of their lives when alcohol was involved. They called themselves "Hang Over Gang" because they were just a bunch of dudes trying to have the best time of their life ALL the time, lol. He had a mental break down stemming from his alcohol and drug abuse - it started towards the end of 2015 and went into 2016. He was still living in Vancouver then but left and went to go live back home with his mom in Edmonton at the beginning of 2016, to recover. He was there for around 9 months before he got a call from Nova asking him to come make music with her. She was living in South Central LA off Crenshaw, and she had just gotten dropped from Def Jam a handful of months before that and was struggling in the aftermath of that. Tom went to LA at the end of 2016 and a year later blew up with Dear Rappers. Even though he did relapse once or twice, he is sober now and has been for at least 6-7 years. Even though he's sober, he's still just a dude trying to have to best time of his life - he's just doing it sober now... so, Hang Over Gang still rang true, and he kept it. HOG is full of people recovering from mental illness and alcohol/drug addictions.

New Subscriber here. If you like the addiction and inspiration part of this one, you will really like Fighter and Stronger Version. Both deal a lot with Tom's past issues. The entire Brave 2 album is some of his best work as well. Check out American Flags, Black and White, Your America, and Chrome (Nova goes last and murders Tom and Adam. She used to be with Def Jam) too. Nova spits on the Brave 1 album too...Smoke. That one has a great one called In God We Trust and New World Order. Many people start with Dear Rapper (old), and Fake Woke. We like Brainwashed, Propaganda (w/Dax), The System, Dirty Money, Sheeple, and Dummies (funny). Adam Calhoun collaborates on many of these...I love Adam...Adam's got bodies somewhere. Lol!

Try to rewind the song 5 - 10 seconds every time you pause the song. We enjoy the song so you rewinding it is not going to bother us, but if you don’t rewind it, sometimes you’ll miss bars on his bar heavy songs, “no response” might be one of those songs lol
