Despite his background, Curtis has developed himself into a seemingly great business man. Not only from marketing his Vitamin Water but with creating the Power franchise. Each interview I see of him I am baffled. You don't see many other rappers discussing the financial side of the rap genre or their own personal marketing pursuits to build investments.
Also the partnership/friendship that 50 and Eminem has is great. They have given each other their flowers. They have each given each other space to bloom in their own rap styles and audience without competition. Curtis has acknowledged that Eminem not only helped him get signed but that Eminem had an upper hand with his race in expanding rap to other communities thus inspiring others who may be interested in the genre (example Jack Harlow). Eminem has changed the face of rap thus broadening the audience reached for this genre. Eminem has also given props to 50 cent. He acknowledged that their Shady label would not have been what it is without 50 joining.
Curtis and Eminem both prove that this is not only bigger than black and white but that your upbringing doesn't define your destination. As 50 said in this interview "we want to be the people we are in a better situation".

I love hearing about folks' first time experiencing hip-hop. My very first time is a blur. All I remember is hearing Chuck D voice in _Fight the Power._ That song made my blood boil. A year later, I found myself snoopin' around my father LP and cassette collection and it's been on ever since. That was 1990. I miss the days of not knowing about anybody business. Back then, we focused strictly on the music and if the artist wanted to give anything extra, it was a treat. My dad music collection was like a candy store. I also had big cousins who were 5 - 8 years older than me and they loved hip-hop as well. We'd make lil' steps to almost every song we heard. Anyway, yo' debut LP, Curt...WHEW! That LP came out during the tail end of high school and we LOOOOOVED it! I actually need to rediscover that LP because it's been a minute since I've heard it. But yeah man. I like how you appealed to ALL markets. You're obviously from New York, but yo' appealed attracted everyone. Sometimes you kinda sounded Southern and sometimes you kinda sounded Los Angeles. It just really worked and the rest is history. I don't think you get enough credit for yo' debut or 2005's _The Massacre._ Out of respect for you, Imma just skip over Eminem. I'm just not feelin' him, Curt. It was nice seeing you. Glad you're doing well, Curt.

Respect to 50 cent for always being true and to EM for introducing him to Dr Dre and Jimmy. *For the record Jimmy is All hiphop - Intercope was responsible for Deathrow records, 2 Pac, Aftermath, Dr Dre and many other labels by his role into taking these micro labels under his label - his so underrated yet he helped many labels and giving them the much needed distribution links with parent companies*

Young up and coming artists from the streets who really really about that street life just like 50 was should look at him and use his career as a blueprint!
