I like this a lot. Many people said its the one of the weakest cc theme but for me its one of the best. Dawnseeker is still number 1 tho. Fake Waves at least top 3 for me.
Fake Waves feels like it was composed by two different people with ideas on what it should be, but then compromised by slapping those ideas together into one song. The instrumental slaps, but the vocals feel like they don't really mesh well, IMO. It's the one CC theme that I feel rather conflicted about, comparatively to the standards AK has set. Not a bad song, just not to my taste. Glad they ended off CC's themes with Basepoint, tho.
I've been trying to think of what was itching at my mind whenever I hear this song, and now I'll never be able to unhear it now that I know what it was
I get what mean about the missing part though its kind of situational (for me) heared it first on my headphones on the way from a bus stop through wind, rain, cold... and for that it was somehow great, blocking off most of the annyoing sounds around you, motivating you a bit... mfg Olli
it's a great song, but it's calmer than what you expect from it while listening, and if only it didn't have that one last "come on show me what you got now" near the end, it just sounds so anticlimactic and slightly cringe and also the singers voice just gets so high right before that and it also sounds very weird to me
The lack of energy may have been intentional. After all, the reason behind the fight on the event's map is... a glorified bar brawl. > Lady Candela prepared an area at a corner of Dossoles' artificial beach to give a chance for the newly arrived Durin designers. But when these "geniuses" and the local workers start to cause chaos after they're drunk, someone needs to lend a hand to teach them the rules.
None of the images on Google had any featured character so i went with a random one. I even tried looking up what character is the tie in with no luck 🫠
The only CC that feels weird. It gives me a parody feeling, like it sounds like a goofy angry birds cover song with vocals. It's not bad, it's just unfitting.
This is the only CC theme (or song from Arknights as a whole, I think) that I prefer to listen to the instrumental version of, because I think the vocals actually detract from it a little bit.
This song was a miss for me as well. The fact than we'll be listening to it a lot when CC#11 finally released on global within a few months doesn't sit too well with me
I didn't like it at the beginning, I even "hated" it a bit, i felt it was unfitting, but after listening several times in my spotify playlist, I started to like it, like a lot. Still my least favorite, but not a miss anymore.
This is one of those songs where I really like certain parts of it, but don't like other parts that much. I like it overall, but it's not one of my favorites.
Not going to watch the video because listening to such a huge departure from Hypergryph’s usual astounding musical complexity is painful (sorry xd), but I didn’t really feel why this theme is regarded as profoundly lackluster until I listened to every other CC theme back to back. I never personally had much issue with the song, as it is at least decent, and I’m used to music that sounds like this making me cringe so hard I collapse into a black hole within seconds (which this song does not do). After listening to the other CC themes though, it feels to me like a solid foundation was laid and then inexplicably left empty. It also doesn’t really help that the permanent map for this particular CC is so vastly underwhelming I’ve taken to calling it the participation award of CC medal sets KEKL (unfortunately it will be my first full CC medal set as I haven’t been well enough equipped to even seriously attempt to do those until now lmao)
Maybe it’s less like an empty foundation and more like a foundation with a structure hanging several hundred feet above it, actually I saw a comment or two about it having good instrumentals but they’re so much quieter than the vocals (at least in game) that I’ve never really heard them, hence the analogy lmao
@@CatharsisYT just watched the commentary Yeah I get that feel too, although at least in my mind it seems more like they didn't really try hard enough rather than that they tried too hard to do something. Like they had a cool idea but for some reason just never truly committed to it. Individually the instrumentals and vocals both suggest that the mix will get a lot more energetic, but it never does. Still I do agree with you that it's not a bad song, just an uncharacteristically shallow one. Hypergryph still managed to make something that I can actually sit and consciously listen to without cringing into a black hole a few seconds in, despite it (seemingly at least) belonging to a genre that I typically _really_ don't enjoy.
One of the only misses that they've ever put out for arknights, gotta be the most whelming song especially among the godly CC themes 😔 Also obligatory angry birds comment because it legit sounds like it
ah yes, the only CC that I didn't fall in love with until I listened to it 3000000 times
I like Fake Waves a lot, but taste is as always subjective

I actually love this song xD
Then you'd probably love Fox Stevenson lol. I like him, but this song sounds like him on a bad day
The only redeeming factor that makes me like this song is the fact that it sounds like Angry Birds 🗿
Angry birds
Ah there it is. The obligatory angry birds comment.
@@Infinite_Star they left me no chance

Before Mikazuki.
nice

Ah yes, my favorite Angry Birds CC theme 🤓

Kinda like the hype it feels like it's trying to build to never actually arrives?

My Least Favorite CC theme

Idk, this one's in my top 5 CC themes personally

This song took me until my 4th listen for me to like it a little bit
not exactly my type of music, but it slowly grown on me and at this point im more conflicted about that dislike
angry bird.
It’s not bad, it’s just a goofy ahh song with goofy ahh lyrics. I personally don’t feel like MSR was cooking in the studio with this one
Can't relate. I think this song is an absolute banger, and I've been listening to it on repeat frequently.
still it's not that bad

yeah I think this one had a good concept but the mixing or composition just ain't working for me
I wont say it sucked but everyone has highs and lows, and this is one of their lows
I actually love the instrumental, the lyrics are just absurdly bad.
personally not for me.
Have to agree that this one is the weakest out of all the lobby themes until you listen to it for the trillion-th time.

Yeh not the best CC at all.
better then Cinder anyway
