I'll be 77 soon and I can't get around too well. Your treasure hunts take me back to my childhood of walking the river looking for treasure. Good hunting!
I watched this channel for hours last night....so darn cool! When I was a kid I went to a fossil pit in Hampton, Va that had one of the largest intact fossils of a whale I believe...and it's in the Smithsonian
thats a handle to a manual can opener the rest is broken off. the second one looks like drawer pull to an old dresser. pretty. that tallesmen is awesome!!!! what a find!!!!❤️❤️❤️ that tallesmen makes my heart flutter!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Great finds Scott! A few heart-breakers but that’s to be expected. Loving the bottles, the ink well and the pendant. Beautiful area and a nice day on the river. 😊
My best is a hunting talisman I found while hiking in California. It's got a fox head on one side ,and a wolf's head on the other. It's made out of shale and they're made by chipping the different layers of shale.
You must be a W.va boy ... I grew up where the Ohio & Kanawa river join... As a kid , I found hundreds of points . The river bottoms were plowed every fall & we spent days hunting points.. One spot we fished & swam from was a huge slab of bedrock that jutted out into the river for 20 ft & about 70 ft wide... Throughout this slab of rock was holes.. Holes used for thousand of years to crack nuts , corn & other staples of Indian diet ... We also found rocks used to grind on this slab the groves in the mother rock were about 6 inches wide maybe a foot long... I donated all my points & artifacts to a small museum in the town where these two rive meet.. I left for the navy & never lived there again... I loved the rivers , creeks & mtns . As a kid it was like a Tom Sawyer adventure ... I live in the s.w and here too there is a long history of Native Americans ... I worked in Clovis N.M. a few years ago & if know Native American history , then you know the importance of Clovis.. The "Clovis Point" was thought to be the oldest native settlement in America , but that has been all but disproven at this point.. Sites have now been dated back to 14000 yrs .. Oddly , there are sites in S. America that have now been dated back to 19000 yrs ago & DNA studies have determined they were not of asian ancestry , but of Polynesian ancestry .. Politics & religious organizations have denied the accuracy of the science mostly because the Native populations in the America's would lose their standing as first to the continent ... But the science has been vetted by the best archaeologists in in the world & they stand behind the findings...
Craig Littler Thanks Craig👍 I took the final photos with the gopro and realized the gooro just doesn’t capture the quality on still photos as what my iPhone does. Lesson learned, next time I’ll use the phone for still pictures. I wanted to do a wrap up but thought it would make the video too long. Do you think folks like longer videos or should maybe around 30 minutes be the max? I’ll ask that on the next video and see what viewers think. I don’t wanna make it too long in case people get bored with the long stuff. Thanks for watching 👍
I’m digging the transition edits 😂 that pendant is killer and those beers are good finds too. I see Rocks Cousteau pull the same beers out of dumps. Congrats man
Dougiee Wide Thanks a bunch. I learned that first transition on “The Greatest American Hero”. I’m working on a time machine next, got the Flux Capacitor almost done. 👍 thanks for supporting my channel.
I am really loving your videos. We spent the last two days at the Ohio. Thanks for the inspiration! The piece at 26:00 : What was that material? Looked like limestone.
Scott nice finds.. amassing hemotite piece!!! When you determine what it is post info on it.. I know ur not crazy about the nutting stones that are not perfect examples, but I would love to have them, if you drag them out I will drive down a pick them up it would be super cool to talk with you too. I save rocks from all my trips an put them in landscaping at the house. You can size my finger for that ring when you get back to it. I can give you the coins too. Lmk Thanks
Scott Nock “SPOILER ALERT” check out my giveaway video Thursday evening between 8-9 pm. It’ll be right up that alley. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel.👍
By the way I wanna Thank you for the necklace you made for Taran he loves it and wears it alot. I knew if he wouldn't I sure would. ha ha ha You did a great job on it!!! Thanks alot!!!
I’ve never seen so much excitement for a Pepsi can and a child’s life jacket. Gonna be honest, I wouldn’t (and still wouldn’t) have stopped to look at them.
Great video! The first lever thingy reminds me of the throttle adjustment lever on my wife's grandfather's old roto tiller. The brass handle is an old drawer pull. I've cooked some of that Flint Ridge flint that turned the prettiest red/orange/black, beautiful stone for sure! Do you work any of the flint you've found on the river?
Long time artifact hunter, first time subscriber.... Great salvages! You must be pleased! Cheers.... Edit: old can opener handle back near Camp Buckeye? The other a hanging handle for a dresser drawer?
jarmyvicious Thanks much. Good eye there, some things I find, I have no ideas. I knew someone watching would know.👍 Thank you for supporting my channel.
neandertodd I assume. I drew it up but it uses his basic design. I got the diagram off the site “Desert Domes” and then figured all the angles to cut so it’d fit together. Thanks for watching 👍
Good finds and video. Hunting the river bank is like headhunting and dumpster diving. LOL You never know what you're gonna find. And can you change the intro sound track to your videos. Every time I watch one of your videos my dog goes ape shit and wont stop barking and the cat takes off and hides under the bed. No shit!!! LOL
I live beside the Eel river. Every night you can here em all around howling to each other. Really kool but kinda scary sometimes. They always after my chickens. And the cat either had a close call with one or just maybe natural instincts, but she runs under the bed and wont come out for hours. I'm getting ready to HEAD out to the honey hole. And walk another 10, 15 miles today. I need to get a miniature blimp and strap myself to it. That way I can just hover above the ground and pick up the arrowheads.✌😁 keep looking down and pound that ground.
Jeff Ricketts jtr arrowheaad man I watch all your stuff. That was an awesome find you had. I’ve never found anything drilled, only one small broken shard. Thanks for watching Jeff.👍
Between 8 and 9 p.m.? That's past my bedtime, Scott! :) 6:33 I can't see if the top is worked but it may be an projectilepoints.net/Points/Edgefield.html . (Edgefield scrapper) or, it may be a broken Big Sandy?
Michael Meisberger You’re probably right on that. I was looking at it later and it doesn’t look snapped off. It kinda looks worked like that. I think I need to turn the camera off, for a minute, and study the pieces before talking more or moving on. I think it was just disappointment when I didn’t see the tip, that I chalked it up as a broke. Thanks guy.
You’re correct on that. It had me stumped for a while! I find artifacts right there along with 1800’s house stuff. Old home site for a long time. Thanks for watching Robert. Much appreciated 👍

Gerald Luque I would love to find something like that! If I found something with engraved art on it... I’d probably pass out. Thanks for watching 👍
Great finds! Got a good variety of artifacts. I found a triangular piece that is shaped like the one you found, not hematite though.
Definitely my best hematite piece ever. Thank you for watching. Hopefully we’ll get more good stuff next time 👍
