A little suggestion on the spray foam let it cure for at least two to three weeks in the heat a little bit. I did a similar fill with the same product on my JK chopped hardtop to fill the back section and I only let it cure for about a day or two and it sucked in all the fiberglass in after it cured but then after it had cured completely put it on the Jeep fully painted and the spray foam expanded causing cracks and failures at the edges.
This build will be so badass
We are having so much fun with it. It will be badass when we are done!
at first i wasnt sure whaat jeep i was looking at until i saw the half size windshield!! then i got a nice smile remembering Donuts in MEXICO!!! 😁
i am looking forward to this build!!
Hahahaha that's awesome. Thank you!!
Keep up the awesome work this jeep is a alternative version of the hot rod I personally like hot rod jeep like this I hope you finish it eventually
At first I was against the hardtop look. Now I’m totally on board! Nice work.
Yeah haha we didn't know what we were getting into and how it was going to look after the fact. But pretty happy with it so far.
Th back is so surprisingly straight. I thought that wouldn't end up nearly as good as it did. Thats a cool lil jeep
Better than I thought it was going to be as well! Once we get some paint on the top it'll look even better!
The hard part is not making it look too good! 😁
great work on the fabrication on the hard top so far. looking forward to the rest of it and work on other projects. i am glad you are both having fun doing it.always nice seeing a father and son work so well together, kinda makes me wish me and my dad did something like that.
Thank you!! It as an awesome experience, my brother and I both enjoy working out in the garage with our Dad
Dude, looks amazing especially for so cheap!
Thanks!!
love it!
Thanks brother
I’ve got an 80 CJ7 with same top. I tried doing some repairs on my top but didn’t have any luck at all with fiberglass. Was later told that older Jeep tops was actually SMC and not fiberglass. Did y’all have any issues with it adhearing to it?
Great price for a YJ hard top. What are you doing for the rear glass since CJ is a different mounting system.
Really good price and we cut some polycarbonate "glass" today for the windows and back glass. We used the factory hinges as well for it. You'll see what we did in the next video
I have an idea you can cut it and remove the lower part then figure out how much needs to get taken out of the pillar. My idea.... So funny
Hahahaha
yeah.. haha...
Talk about being glutton's for punishment but it'll look good when you get done with it 🙃😉😁
Haha you’re not wrong! It’s all worth it
