Thank you for sharing, I like your approach to the matter, I myself am more spiritual then practicing, but do like to get alot of different views from books and all that and these looked very interesting
Wow, your energy is lovely! Thank you for sharing this video - Sarah
Thank you :) I have a new one to share in my Christmas gift guide this year.
PMSL..."let's hug". I have that book, probably says a lot lol!
I share your beliefs! It's hard to tell others because we just don't fit in the Witch/Wicca box. Thanks for sharing!
Carrie Guinn King It's easy to tell them. Getting them to understand is another matter though!
Great video and I like your book recommendations. My first ever witchy book was 'To Ride A Sliver Broomstick' by Silver Ravenwolf. I bought almost all her books, 'Angels' being my favourite. They are always useful to dip in and out of. I also adore Raven Grimassi's 'Ways of the Strega: Italian Witchcraft' which is a tradition I find myself drawn to. Love your channel and all your vids, be it witchy, beauty or organisation.
Happy mistake 💙 I followed you on Twitch :)
Yay! See you there
Is it normal to feel anxiety and fear when skimming Day 3 in Wicca: A Year and a Day? I grew up Christian and that chapter really made my soul feel uncomfortable. But I still want to do witch craft relating to healing and divination.
It’s normal to feel fear and anxiety when trying anything new. Don’t focus on the what, focus on the why. Try a journal exercise called ‘The 5 Whys’ by Sakichi Toyoda. Start with your issue statement or ‘problem’. ‘This makes me feel uncomfortable’. Now ask ‘Why?’. Write down the first answer you come up with. Ask again ‘Why?’ Do this 5 times. When you get to the last statement you should have the root issue - and it’s often not even close to the problem that originally presented.
I highly recommend keeping a journal - separate to any the book requires - just for yourself, to address exactly these things. Don’t make it ‘precious’. A composition book or the notes app on your phone will do. But it’s important to recognise and understand these things as they come up. Especially if you want to help others heal, because that will require a lot of shadow work later.
@@RhomanysRealm Thank you so much!!!
Not to be too blunt, but the last time I checked eclectic witch != chaote. Unless you're fond of paridigm shifting and have created your own system of correspondences, and I'm just unaware of this, I don't think simply not being a Wiccan and drawing inspiration from other sources to supplement your practice is enough to be considered a chaote. They tend to employ a lot of surrealist techniques in their practices that would make the average practitioner wonder "WTF did you come up with that from?" With that said, I've enjoyed watching your other videos on creating artwork for and organizing one's BoS. Well done.
+Zak Hoskins Chaos magic is eclectic, but eclectic magic is not necessarily chaos magic. Once you begin to regularly subscribe to a particular approach it ceases to be chaos magic and becomes a belief structure. The core of my beliefs hasn't changed in 20+ years. Eclectic witch is simply another way of saying solitary practitioner or someone who uses multiple belief structures and 'accepted' pagan practices and in a non-traditional way. Chaotes use constantly changing and evolving belief systems often based on philosophical structures and quantum physics.
Ok, I can see most of that. Still don't get where you got the idea that chaos magic is based on quantum physics. I have yet to see a chaote solve the Shroedinger Equation during a ritual, although that would be quite out of the ordinary and perhaps entertaining IMO. Humor is always useful to a chaote for banishing, so sure, why the hell not. Though bound to a certain degree of error and ultimately relying on statistical best guesses, quantum physics is still an empirical science. Magic, not so much. It's called the Craft or the Art for a reason. I've seen a lot of practitioners claim to be scientific about their system, but frankly as both a chaote and a software developer, I just don't see it. I know my mind works two different ways when I'm performing them, nor have I ever seen anyone ever try to achieve gnosis before going into a lab. Just a thought.
Can't get a new The Green Wiccan Year Book by Sija now, unless you want to pay an absolutely ridiculous price, which is a shame :( Is there anywhere else other than Amazon that would have one please?
Still some available on Amazon UK for around £20.
Just found your channel and love it! Your voice and bubbly personality reminds me of Dawn French! :) I am a book freak....would love to see a Witchy Bookshelf Tour video from you, if you are ever interested! New subscriber! :)
+Faerie Hearthwitch welcome to the madness. I'd happily do a witchy bookshelf your. If my books were on a shelf instead of piled up on a chair 😂
lol I am right with you! I have the Witchy Books Shelf, but also the Witchy book piles all over the place...on the floor, on the desk, on the bedside table, on the dining room table. Hehehehe... Start a new trend! Witchy BookChair Tour. :D
+Faerie Hearthwitch hahahahaha 😂
Do u have witchcraft books not Wicca. I think I'm a hedge witch. I'm new to all this. I want to find books with original witchcraft books and witchcraft history, not new agey stuff. Any suggestions??? 😊
Well an easy way is to look for books first published pre 1954. But for the most part, if a book is Wicca-centric it will tell you in the blurb or within the first few pages. Some modern writers do know their history, despite being Wicca-centric, such as the Year and a Day book. I suggest read everything. Just because it's 'new agey' doesn't mean the writer hasn't done valuable research.
Do you know any good books about bone casting
No sorry, I don’t know anything about bone casting.
I buy books for all types, Wicca, witchcraft, occult, theology, mythology, history etc... It's like they say, knowledge is power.
Absolutely. Rather partial to philosophy and physics myself.
@@RhomanysRealm it's all interconnected anyways, can't have one without the other.
‘Magic is just science we don’t understand yet.’
