My class had PlayStations set up and we'd play these games. Eventually the teacher let us bring our own games in and play when we were done with work. Memories!
I imagine they also let students bring their own memory cards along if they had those.
That reminds me of what my school did with Wii systems. They had a couple Wii setups in the foyer with 2 remotes and a custom anti-theft box, but I don't think they allowed students to bring in their own games.
I can only imagine your classmates bringing in games like Resident Evil or Die Hard Trilogy.

Hey everyone Avgn has been around for a while and we’ve all watched all the episodes. And we all have to agree there has been no bad episode seriously he spends so much time on it they’re RUclips masterpieces.
I would love to see a sequel to this. Not necessarily to see more Lightspan games, but to watch AVGN's intellect increase to hyperbolic levels. I want to see him materialize a Rolling Rock into his hand, move a disk into the Playstation with his mind, and eventually rewrite the fabric of space time so that Lightspan Adventures never existed.

Avgn taught me english. Or, that's what i believe. I really don't remember how i learned english, but i'm sure that i learned english thanks to the internet and that i have never watched any of those online english lessons. I believe that avgn taught me english because my friends and relatives have learned english in a similar way. You know, by watching english-language content with spanish subtitles. I learned because most spanish-language content or is a steaming pile of shit or is just translated straight from english. So i figured why not just learn english so that i don't have to rely on shitty and maybe incorrect translations? And yes, i know more english than my english teacher. The main keys are: don't be afraid of pushing your english to its limits, don't be afraid of making mistakes and use it as much as you can. And think in english so that you don't spend time translating. It's way easier to learn phases instead of vocabulary. I need to stop talking shit

Well, there was that one time on last day of 6th grade my teacher said whatever, he stopped caring. We had a party and some guys were playing _Oni_ on the biggest TV. Some asshole brought Tiger handhelds and wondered why nobody was touching them. Even then we knew better.

What a blast from the past. Yeah, we had these at our elementary school and had to do homework assignments involving these games lol Thankfully, I had some games while the PS1 I originally owned, was broken.
I found this episode to be quite entertaining.
The ignorance of the titular angry nerd in the beginning contrasted with his comparatively large vocabulary, intellect, and general knowledge of the world around him showed remarkable character development. I would call him a prime example of the modern electronic entertainment erudite. I find that the coalescence of the two in the end, and his eventual reversion to his more primitive mindset, really exemplified just what a fatal hero, like those of the ancient greek tragedies, the nerd really is. Overall I would say that this work is quite exemplary.

Omg I actually got one of these in second grade I could never remember what the games were called. Probably because I never played them right after bringing it home I asked my mom to take me to the local movie rental place and rented some Crash Bandicoot :) but thanks to this program I fell in love with the ps1 and decided to get it over the n64 since I love rpgs I made the right decision
