Did you notice that your Denver example was a clashed die? You can see parts of the reverse on the obverse. The Philly example has a major die polish on the left side of the shield. I have examples that used the same die on several earlier year cents. Interesting video tonight JBC! Thanks!
I watched the video linked at the end of this one about the wheat penny and got me thinking about my collection of wheatys. I have 2 penny's, oh one of them is not a wheat penny, the one wheaty is a 1958 D and the other is a 1963 D. Both of them have proof coin like qualities on their finishes but with the exception of the cameo. They are very smooth looking and kinda glossy\shiney, and both are on very good condition. I would expect them to in the MS66-67 range. Do you think I could possibly have something worth a little bit or maybe worth having them graded? I didn't BUY any 2020 coins, but I collected them (Philly mint) until I had a full set. I even got a "I survived 2020" medallion to go with the set! It truly was a "dumpster fire" of a year and we're still dealing with the 🤢 that started that year!
I have been very lucky recently and was able to get a phili OBW in nearly the center was a blow hole. And weirdly coins going towards to the ends of the rolls had what looks to be blasting spray that became less and less towards the ends. There were also a few super nice coins and then also some of those dirty milk stained coins. I plan to get the oddballs and the best of the pretty out very soon. But no never thought about uncirculated sets. I was just at a coin shop today. Agh! Certainly will note down to check next time:)

Yes J&B I purchased two sets of 2020 Coins. One Set of (P) & One set of (D). Beginning with the Kennedy Half Dollar, then sequenced to the Quarter, Dime, Nickel, and Penny. But I did not know about the value of the 2020 Penny. But I definitely will check them out. I also have purchased rolls of pennies from my bank that I haven’t had the time to look 👀 through them yet. Don't buy sets, though I have a couple partial boxes of 2020 cents that I hung on to. Honestly, I wouldn't know a MS70 from an MS65 if I saw them next to each other... have a few slabbed coins & one is MS61 and that looks just about perfect to me.

Hello J&B. No, I've never bought a 2020 penny proof set, nor have I ever bought any coins in sets. As usual though, thank you very much for you research and hard work.
Recently while using my metal detector at the beach in Southern California, I found a hot rock and didn't think much of it so it ended up in my rock polishing pile. When I started to buff the rock I noticed it was the rock I found with my detector and buffing allowed me to see that it is a Lincoln cent completely encased, at least I think it's a Lincoln cent or two. It's closer to the size of a quarter and about 3/8" thick. I'm thinking it's a zinc penny that oxidized then solidified. It's the rarest penny on the planet.

so basically i have a 100 year old penny
