I was going round in circles and kept having famines that would wipe out my carriers while I had every food producer fully stacked but nobody to move it about. I’m now running at a massive surplus and finally enjoying the game and being able to design my colony the way I want. I was about to give up on it completely before this. I have one question you might be able to help with. Do you know how I can get weapons on the gate or assign them to the workers manning the gate?? Thanks again man. Great video
Glad I could help! This was made when the first version of the game was release, so a lot have changed since it. Unfortunately I haven't played it much so I can't help you out on your question.
I got to day 16 then disaster struck. By day 21 everyone died.. I had a big build going on but I was obviously doing it all wrong! I’ll take this on board when I try again tomorrow
I also can’t figure out the guard towers. Do the guards assigned really only respond to things in that small ass circle? If so, that’s utterly useless.
Great content, thanks for the awesome tips. By the way I have a question, I just look for the mod for this game. If I download the mod and want to use it, do I have to start game from the first (new game) or I can use my current saved game (load game) ? Do you know about this things? Thank you!
It depends from mod to mod. If it is a big one that overhauls multiple mechanics and stuff then it's safer to start a new game, smaller additions might be fine to add to existing save games. Usually on the mod page there will be a warning if it's not safe to add to existing saves or you can ask creator of the mod for specifics.
Trying to verify in your videos... do you build all buildings flush against the paths or do you leave a little space between them and the paths? And secondly... does making double-wide paths really count for anything or is it just a waste of labour?
The base you see here was built as more of a test, trying out different things and seeing how stuff works. There's no real order to it. I was trying to see if the paths would merge into one big pathway or stay separate, which unfortunately they do.
At this point? You're basically screwed. It's not on the world map and I don't think traders have it. The late game unfortunately doesn't quite exist yet. Concrete and metal are the biggest problems as they're a finite resources.
I am with the same question. I dont know which bulding crafts components (yellow thing). I saw on wiki that they are crafted from plastic (blue thing). But dont know how.... did you find out how?

When a colonist starts to get attacked the specialist should go there immediately they are just lazy lol

Unassign some workers from jobs you don't really need.
Months on and it still doesn’t tell you about F11. Any chance of an update video given the many updates they’ve had?
