- EPIC Family Road Trip Episode 38 // In this episode of the vlog we get to take a tour of an IT company and get a first hand look at “the cloud” in San Diego, California before heading back east to Arizona. We head into the beautiful town of Sedona where we explore around, do an epic hike and go mountain biking. We then meet up with some of our friends and fellow full time traveling family, the Holcombe’s! We have a fun time at Slide Rock State Park where we get to experience a very refreshing natural water slide. We then head up into the mountains for our first boon-docking experience with the Holcombe’s. We have a fun time playing guitar and telling stories around the camp fire, then cook up some delicious breakfast the next morning before heading back down the mountain and head into the desert to the historic ghost town of Jerome, Arizona. We explore around the town, eat at some epic restaurants, taste wine at Caduceus, and learn about the history of Jerome at a very interesting museum. We then head to Flagstaff where we go over to Carol’s friends home for a fun dinner night together. Last we headed into Phoenix, Arizona for the weekend where dad will be attending a conference.

Slide Rock always has cold water, the best place to cool off in Arizona.
The adventures are simply amazing. Spending your money on these adventures I think is much better than buying expensive, depreciating "toys". Although, I wouldn't mind owning a Porsche GT3. :-P Hopefully I'll catch you on the way back this way. Safe travels.

Sedona is epic! I live in Phoenix and drive there for hiking several times a year. I'm so glad you stopped there. I only do BLM camping. Sedona and Flagstaff area has some beautiful BLM land. Isn't slide rock fun? My kids are in their early thirties now and we have so many great memories there when they were young. We still go there, but now we have two added to our family, my grandchildren. Jerome is always a must see. We always eat at the Haunted Hamburger. Best burgers every. When you were in Cottonwood, there's a vineyard called Alcantara, awesome place and great winetasking experience.
Oh wow, another great video!! Having two boys that studied at NAU in Flagstaff, I'm so happy you got to enjoy the beauty of Northern Arizona. WOW, kudos to going in the water at slide rock in February!! I've done it in July and it's still freezing!! If you don't mind me asking, what bike rack to do have for the jeep. I've been looking at a few and trying to get more info. Thanks for sharing this great road trip!!
