A great actor can adapt & add lib, like Michael Keaton & Robin Williams & Diane Keaton, great & believable in any genre & role! I think Robin Williams would have been great but also changed the outcome, a lot!

We spent a week with Ms. Gina Davis( both our kids were in the hospital and she was in the room next to us.) So we got to meet her and spend some time with her. We never ask for autographs or ask to take pics of her and never even told anyone until we both left the hospital. I told her that my wife and I grew up watch her movies but after that week that I can’t see her as Gina Davis the movie start but as Gina Davis the mom. She spent almost the whole week there and didn’t leave and when she came out to ask if I could bring my daughter service dog in to see her son, she didn’t even have makeup on. She was really nice and concern about my daughter. My wife and her got along really well. I think it was nice for Ms Davis to have someone to talk too. He then husband and I got along great, he was a doctor at the hospital. Really pleasant family. Funny thing(maybe sad, realized my age at this point)is that all the young nurses didn’t know who she was. My daughter didn’t know either, she just said “you mean that really nice lady”. Anyway pleasant memory for us, Ms. Davis even knitted a few some things for my daughter as that is how she past the time in the hospital.

As a side note I think it would have been more fitting to see Angelica Houston play Lydia's mom. In the original script Lydia has a younger sibling with psychic abilities who helps defeat the winged demon, Beetlejuice.
The resurrection scene when Ottho is reading from the handbook contained passages to destroy him for good. I think if this film ever gets a reboot they should go with the original script.

The hair colour might have to do with something simple like the tone of the lighting or a coloured filter being used. In a lot of scenes, there's a bright green hue being used in the background, which might negate certain tones of the haircolour. A coloured filter on the camera (or the lights) would probably do the same thing. I was stunned to see his hair was green too!!

So, from 1997 to 1999 I worked at Universal Studios Hollywood as Beetlejuice in Beetlejuice’s Rockin Graveyard Revue. I had my head cast in plaster and a custom wig made for my head just like Keaton. And I’ve got to say, you’re kinda right about both colors. It’s basically a platinum blonde colored wig “dressed” to look (like his face) as if it has been covered in mold. So the skin up the forehead that blends into the roots of his hair are a moldy green, but as the hair continues out, it turns more blonde/white.

My Mom always made quilts for the grandkids as they arrived in the family. Our daughter arrived in 1993. Mom was a product of the depression era America that bought stuff that was in a sales bin or discount rack. Someplace she found some fleece material on sale that had a "cute" cartoon person on kit. She made a small baby quilt with it. I told her it was Beetlejuice and never really went into any detail. Mom has been gone 20 years and this remains a family treasure to my daughter.

When there's no room in Hell... the dead will dance to Harry Belafonte!
Semi-seriously, though: Am I the only one in the world who got the hints from this movie that there's a housing shortage in the Afterlife? Think about it: afterlife social services are backed up so long they have you spending 3 months in their waiting room, only to find you've been set up to haunt your old house for 125 years before moving on? Juno (and formerly Beetlejuice) are working with the afterlife equivalent of the housing authority to try to mitigate this, but basically, yeah, the afterlife's full and they have a housing shortage!
