Great video Mick. I got same tool last year and have never used the chainsaw but I just checked and my oil tube is broken too! Mines out of warranty so a fix video would be much appreciated! First time I used the tool it worked great, went back the following weekend and it wouldn’t start. There’s no screwfix near me so it was easier to try fix it myself. Dismantled carbs and the diaphragms had gone rigid. Put new £5 carb on it and it’s worked a treat ever since!

Love to see the video of you trimming Riley Boy's hair--Not. However after watching the opening of the box I see he liked the sound of hitting the box. I have the exact same Multi tool Mick which I bought to cut branches of my Mum and Dad's tree's as my Dad's at a age he's unable to stay on top of the Gardening.
The chainsaw was used the most and I found the extension attachments were handy as I am not too keen on heights. Overall I never had a problem with her starting and can say I'm very happy with my purchase as it worked out hundreds of pounds cheaper than bringing someone In to do the same Job. Great Video Mick you've done as your right these machines get a lot of unfair bad reviews

Fantastic video Mick. I bought this tool when i got my allotment in 2014 and it is still going strong a bit like Trigger's broom! Have replaced some nuts and bolts/ the fuel lines twice and the carb once as well as all the usual service items. I think if you have a bit of knowledge of 2 stroke engine care and diagnostics then you cannot go wrong. Great tool for the price and has paid for itself many times over. Looks like they have made losts of improvements since i bought my one too :) Enjoy all your videos, as i'm an engineer and just love tinkering with everything. Especially when "professional" people write off machines and i can get it working well again :) Keep up the good work!

Got one yesterday, for price pretty good, when using hedge cutter attachment it cuts much better sweeping upwards or side to side rather than downwards. I agree not for commercial use not because it can't do the job because it can....it just isn't built to take a hammering like a mountfield, sthl or husq, but a decent piece of kit ideal for large gardens

I didn't get a split pin in mine either. and the lack of a torx driver was a pain, as the flatty provided barely spanned the torx hole in the slots of the screws meaning it slipped all the time. Used a torx driver as you did. Does the job but the harness is a bit snug for us larger types. Adjustments on max size.

Hi there mick - I like Screwfix. It looks like Screwfix via Titan have 'tarted up' the somewhat generic Chinese 5 in 1 which seems to have gone under that many different slight cosmetic changes and different brand names to still be virtually the same thing ('A rose by any other name..' etc) .
I assembled the latest 'PARKER' version today (2yr warranty!!) and it looks to be a solid piece of kit incl the accessories. The motor is 52cc and the price £137 incl delivery.
Nice to watch a vid of a bloke who's been there and knows what he is talking about and what he is looking for. (and who's obviously got a great little apprentice!)
Titan seemed to have persuaded the Chinese to upgrade a bit. Good for them and for their customers. Fancy getting a carry-bag- eh?
Particularly like your sound advice about 'running in'. I remember the days when every car and m/c had to go through that! The Chinese are not renowned for over-lubricating at point of manufacture and that first outing I feel is crucial to make up for their shortcomings and ensure longevity.
Any greasing and other lubricating advice? Would appreciate it.
I might also consider some pipe foam insulation on the handle as their answer to anti-vibration seems to stop short at a thick rubber gasket between handle and shaft.
My 52cc motor recommends 40-1 but I'm going to give it at least 30-1 for its first outing and let it run in until I know that some oil vapour had got to parts which even Heineken can't reach!! Good advice, bro'. Thanks.
Just a thought - I think that the Chinese decided that a Nylock nut was the answer to the 'straight nut and split pin' arrangement on the end of the shaft - for manufacturing cost and simplicity. Just needs watching.
Have saved your vid for future reference as it is 'the goods'. Thanks, bro'.
Best wishes to you and Riley and all of yours - Paul in the Midlands.

Hi Mick, great review. I have one of these and I have a couple of issues.
    1. Using it at the weekend and the unit was getting very hot and ended up smoking. I left it to cool but it then wouldn't start at all even with easy start sprayed into the carb.
    2. The connection on the extension pole has a square spindle both ends, the female connection is missing, do you know if I can get a replacement?
    Cheers

The only issue I have with your review is when fitting the strimmer head. When fitting I found that if you fit both the locking ring on the spline and the chamfered ring the strimmer head goes down so tight the auto bump feed will not work. After getting frustrated at having to keep removing the head to release more line, I left the chamfered ring off and the bump feature now works. Hope this helps someone else. I believe that chamfered ring is only required when using the brush cutter.

Hi Mick.👍 I have just bought my dad one of these multi tools for B'Day present. He's been spending the day putting in together watching your video. We are assuming it has bump feed on the strimmer as it mentions bumper in diagram B.13 on pg 18 of manual, but dad can't get the bumper to work. He's had it apart and put back together 3 times and as soon as he takes the spool out, the line springs out and he has to wind it back up again. Not sure if that's normal...perhaps you may have you heard of the bumpers having any issues? I gather you have to just tap the head of the line spool on the ground? Does this have to be in any sort of way? Power off or power on? He tells me the unit keeps cutting the lines off really short as well, which prompted him taking the spool out and reinstall it. In the past I whave bought 3 strimmers for him and none of the bump feeds have worked. Perhaps he's doing something wrong. I hoped someone with your experience could offer some instruction. He has followed all the instructions in the manual to a T. I understand that you've published this video 2 years ago but hoping you still may be picking up messages in the comments. Many thanks and best wishes to you. From Paula in Co. Down.

Yo yo hi ok so I have still got mine and it's a bump one .. you need to have the Revvs up for it to work and a good solid bum should get it to feed out if you have installed the cable right.. to be fair I use a much thicker line as the one they provide is very thin.. if your having problems I could do a video on it if you like ..
