Did all this, thank you by the way.....then looked on the gas tank and the hose was broke off up by the hole.....no wonder it stopped running.....at least the carbs new now... thanks for the help, thumbs UP
One year on but i thank you for these titan videos i think i now know what is wrong with my titan petrol strimmer & hopefully i can fix rather than have to scrap it & buy a new one THANK'S.
They machines are so bad for this issue I have 2 of them in my trailer holding down the plastic that’s protecting the trailer lol I moved on to a full stihl kit for all my garden needs . Great outro brother 👌😁 gb 🙏 you & family
I have one of these that’s seized, any chance of a video in the future of how to cure it please? It was running fine until l fell over backwards with it running. It conked out and was locked solid 🤷🏻 don’t think it’s vapour lock as l removed the spark plug etc. Thanks.

The green B&Q strimmers are the same - they are shipped with an over lean carb setting. 1/4 turn richer usually fixes the issue. You need the Pac man carb tool...

I stripped it down & found the piston & ring were damaged. I now need a new piston & cylinder set? Ive seen similar looking units on Amazon, but cant identify their size? Ive got an old titan wont start…hardly had any work…its a very clean machine . It became hard to start couple years ago and bogged down once started . Now it wont start… do you recon its just like yours needing a clean out in the carb. Got the special tool to adjust mixture now. That was next call.
Hi Andy I would start by checking all the fuel lines etc making sure there not perished or cracked if there ok drop some fuel down the head and fire it up if it runs Definitely a carb issue hope this helps mate

Nice pleasant well explained video, only problem it’s obviously reversed as Triton spells notirt and when you unscrew nuts etc they are going anti clockwise, this did confuse me to start with, thought it was something to do with the Chinese manufacturing. Cheers. John
Did you try using the Premium petrol, to make the mixture with? I have had nothing but trouble with the regular petrol, since the Government decided to put more alcohol in the petrol. I went over to Premium, and no problems with the 2 stroke machines.

Great video mate! Can I ask what tool you use to adjust the carb? Mine needs doing and it is a strange head with a dot on it. Titan branded and only 12-18 months old Much appreciated
These carbs don't have any adjustments re mixture, the only adjustment is the idle screw - you can just use a set of pliers to screw it in or out. The only way to adjust the amount of fuel going through the carb into the cylinder is to bend the metering needle retaining flap (inside the section he didn't open).
I was going to order the PAC man screwdriver but managed to get the screw out cut a slot into the screw and was able to adjust using the carburettor video thanks again. But aye it's a pain with the fuel changing !

Hi Rob, got a small problem with my titan trimmer ,took the handle grip off to change the throttle cable and the springs that held the triggers on/in came out and ive got no idea how they go back, hoping you could tell me or have a vid.
mine starts, idles then as soon as i apply any sort of throttle it cuts off, i’ve done everything to a t from this vid, what were you adjusting at the end of the video??
If its not reving out you will need to adjust the high and low screw while the throttle is getting pulled with the engine running till its at full power
Hi mate could be running to rich what ratio of fuel 2 two stroke are you using also got need adjusting at the carburetor but the machine smoking will not do it any harm
Got a titan strummer still running like a dog. Friend looked at it. Maybe old fuel? If I run it hard, will it kick out the dirt and new premium fuel (with a dash of two stroke), will run better? And stop losing power?
Hello and yeah it most definitely would as the tank pressures up by the prime to push fuel throughout the carburettor till the engine starts and sucks it through

Got the same engine on a hedge trimmer, it starts after a few pulls and will stay running with choke off but as soon as I throttle it it cuts out, I've changed the fuel lines and stripped the carb but still doing the same, is there anything else you can suggest, thanks

Mine keeps making a horrible squealing noise. When the strimmer arm is detached it’s fine. But when I have anything connected to it, regardless of strimmer, hedge trimmers, pruner etc there’s a horrible squealing noise. It cuts fine…for now. Any idea what the issue is and how I can fix this?

Got to be a mixture screw somewhere bud is the fule mixture correct ratio

Had that problem with mine. Washed cleaned the air filter and worked fine. Lack of air.

Yep exact same issue 👍 I was going to order a new carb might try this. I wonder if the E10 additive is causing issues?

I have one that only starts with choke OFF, what would that be symptom of? Fresh fuel @ 40:1 mixture.

@@Robsenginerepairs vibrates a bit at idle, runs ok..ish at half throttle and loses a bit of power at full throttle and can cut out.
Sound like a fuel issue carburetor or fuel lines

Hi Paul it's just the return spring for the trigger you mean ? If so I could do a video on it for you no problem

The high and low screw for the throttle the same thing will need adjusting on yours till it revs out
im going to blow an airline through the carbarator tomorrow to see if that would make any difference
If its not reving out you will need to adjust the high and low screw while the throttle is getting pulled with the engine running till its at full power

@CORRIGEEN71 yes it's part of the system but it can be bypassed with a primer bulb built on the carburettor
i have ryobi petrol strimmer it got air bubble in primer bulb it want start how do i get rid of air bubbles plarsle
The air bubble shouldn't matter it will push any air out keep priming and running the fuel through

Video is flipped left to right so untighten screws anti-clockwise. Good tips though.

When buying new fuel pipes for small engines , ignore the yellow type prone to hardening n splitting

Try dropping a bit of wd40 down the shafts sometimes could be dirt ect failing that could be the clutch on it

The problem with that was it was sucking air through the carb gasket , if you tightened the carb nuts 1/4 turn it would have been fixed ,,
