Who else thinks that the original mixes of Lightning to the Nations are the best? This sounds great, it's lively and full of energy. These 2021 remasters sound like crap in my opinion. Something about the remastering process and trying to make it sound modern. It takes away rather than giving something new. This sound became classic for a reason. It's just super annoying when bands or record labels scrub the original mixes and only allow the new remastered versions to be listened to. I can't find the original Diamond Head Lightning to the Nations anywhere. It's like they were all taken down and replaced for these subpar remasters. Like why do they feel the need to do that?

Fabulous track of a fabulous album. So catchy, bouncy and yet so f.ckin metal! Brian Tatler is an overlooked genius of metal guitar and Sean Harris was really a "Paul Rodgers of NWOBHM" for me! Love his bluesy voice.
The best versions are this one and the othera in Behold the begginig. Man have anyone noticed " beholed the beggining" was fled from the official spotify account?? That record had the best mixes. This one between them. And the 2020 mixes they made REALLY SUCK. Im a sad man since they dismissed this magnificent versions which are NOT in the actual lightning of the nations. This belongs to behold the beggining. World just fucked up

This version uses the vocal take from the original 7" single. Always liked that take the best.
