My sincere condolences on the loss of your dad Rich. Dementia is a terrible disease, my mother-in-law has been in a home for about 6 yrs, & my sister was recently diagnosed with it and she's only 69...so very sad! I for one really enjoy seeing your gorgeous faces 😊 Always feels like a lovely visit with you both. Fran, you are so very talented and patient, your weaving is beautiful! Was wonderful to see the daffodils...gives me hope that Spring really is around the corner, our daffodils are still under a bit of snow and frost. Thank you so much for sharing, take really good care of yourselves, stay well, be safe! Much love Kathy x 💖
💔R.I.P 💔 You can’t please all the people all the time. I think seeing your beautiful faces is balanced just right. I could stand more ❤️ Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Hi so good to see you both love your faces so sorry to hear about your dad dad rich sending you both hugs the patience you have fran for your weaving you both stay safe xxxx
Sorry to hear about your dad. My mom died last summer when the care facilities were on lockdown. I couldn't visit her for months and then she was gone. I think your videos have a nice balance of scenery and the two of you talking to the camera. Keep up the good work! It looks like weaving takes a lot of patience!
Lovely to see you both again but sorry to hear you sad news. Condolences, Rich, to you and your family. And, Fran, you have got the patience of Job with your weaving!
I am so sorry to hear of your family’s loss. So very hard during these times! Enjoy watching the two of you and getting excited to see the new boat. Being from the U.S. I don’t believe I have ever seen Narrow Boats. I love them after watching you and others living this life. Be safe!
What a super vlog, so enjoyed it. So sorry about your dad Rich. Bad enough having one illness without having COVID as well. He is at peace now. No more pain. My thoughts are with you. Loved the weaving. Clever work Fran. Take care. Thank you.
Condolences to you. The varied subjects you cover in your vlogs is great to see and how the both of you present them in a calm and relaxing way is inspiring - keep up the good work🥰👍
So sorry to hears about Rich’s father. That is very sad news. On a brighter note, I hope it’s not too long before your boat is ready. Great weaving from Fran. Such patience. Thanks as always for a lovely video.
Fran you have the patience of a saint, to sort all those strands out! And I thought tying flies was fiddly... You have my utmost Respect for that! Rich that was funny when you panned the camera around to the salt works - class!! Used to drive that route daily for 3yrs in a HGV, that stretch is not very scenic. Great vlog as always - thank you!
Sorry for your loss Rich ... your dad is now in a better place ... glad you're doing ok and keeping safe .... spring is on its way so happy days to come I say .... thanks for sharing .... great music choice Rich as always .... take care see you soon Goran
Fran - I am a weaver, too. I know you must be enjoying being able to create your own warps! (I came late to your channel and am watching them in order from the beginning). I am taking classes online from a wonderful Canadian weaver, and my last lesson was learning how to wind a warp holding multiple threads in my hand at once - up to 5! I made a tangled mess on my first try, but ironed out some issues and now it’s a real time saver to warp with 2 or 3 threads at once. I always enjoy watching your weaving.
I have seen this done but haven't progressed beyond one thread at a time yet. I have taught myself using youtube but I think I need some personal lessons on warping. Well done you
So sorry to hear of your loss Rich. I lost my father 7 years ago after he suffered from dementia for a few years. I was lucky and got to see him right up to the end. To help with the loss we created a small A5 book with a series of photographs on one side of the page and a blank page opposite. We wrote our memories and asked friends and family to write something. It was heartwarming to read how well he was regarded by everyone. We treasure that book and made one up when my mother died 2 years later. Keep your memories to remind you of your dad. 😌
Hello from an Aussie who loves to see your smiling faces! I’ve been binge watching from the beginning and have finally caught up, just in time before the new boat arrives. Condolences for your recent loss, the loss of a parent is hard at any age. Thank you both so very much for all of these wonderful vlogs. I’ve enjoyed every minute of every single one and have no doubt that I’ll feel the same about all those to come. Your dogs are gorgeous, love the recipes (I’ve been sharing them with my son-in-law) and there will never be enough on foraging. I enjoy your countryside walks and also the towns and places of interest. Absolutely love your weaving Fran, I weave on a rigid heddle loom, threading 496 ends today! Sorry this is so long, I’m making up for not commenting on the previous 118 episodes. Keep safe, keep vlogging and, most importantly, keep on having fun.
Sorry to hear sad loss of yr dad Rich..Fran u got patience of a saint 🤣with yr weaving its beautiful though..ahh I love seeing yr faces (always smiling),keep up yr good videos..love from New Zealand..hi to dogs also🐶🐶

So sorry for your loss, Rich. For those of us who've suffered a loss during this pandemic, it's especially hard. Thanks for the lovely bird song and spring flowers. Here on the Sunshine Coast of B.C., the weather, flowers and easing of pandemic restrictions are slowly warming up. Here's hoping we can all travel and be with our loved ones, soon. Looking forward to your travel vlogs and view of your new boat!
Sorry to hear about the loss of your father, especially with the restrictions with COVID .Thanks for sharing your adventures,I had no idea how intricate the process of weaving was ! Or getting prepared for it, take care and safe travels.
Sorry for the loss of your dad lost mine a few years ago now but still hurts lots, fran did well with the wind not easy when it’s so windy well done gran
My sympathies at the loss of your dad to dementia and covid. Lots of thoughts going on with this video. Such beautiful Spring flowers. Wow! And then all the garbage in the water, sad. I love watching Fran weave as I was a weaver for many years at Pendelton Woolen Mills.I giggled at the shot of the countryside instead of your faces. Too funny, Rich! I think moving on to the new boat will be easier in better weather. I hope you'll take us along. Sending lots of good thoughts - Lynn
Rich, I am vey sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. As someone who's parent is going through dementia I can say it is a very long, lonely, and sad goodbye. I can see where you would need a lot patience to weave.
Morning, Fran and Rich! Sad to hear of your Dad’s passing. Alzheimer’s and COVID-19. I hate them both, but Alzheimers takes our loved ones “away” from us while they’re still here. What a blessing it will be when we are able to prevent dementia. It’s lovely to watch you create beautiful fabrics, Fran! Great to see the Daffodils - going to single and possibly double digits Celsius this week in Ontario! I don’t get tired of seeing your lovely faces!
First just a huge hug for the loss of your Dad. Fran, several years ago I was told that my feet were not attached properly to my legs which was why I had lower back problems. We laughed about that. I had been walking on these crooked feet for over 60 years at that point!!.....still am. And lastly I love seeing your gorgeous, happy faces. I too am anxious to see the boat. My "wooly" friend in New Brunswick has taken much of the winter off....so we shall see. I also know a local girl who dyes yarns, a mix of wool, silk, mohair, acrylic and thrums(you will know what that is), various weights. Love and hugs as always.
I didn't know there were so many things wrong with my feet! I'm amazed I can stand up at all by the way the podiatrist described them. I thought they were just too big 😂
Sorry to hear Rich. I had to do a funeral cvd style & was sad as dear Molly over a 100 could not have alot of her wishes fulfilled. Grateful she had a service at all.
Wow Fran I didn’t realise there was so much prep preparing the wool on the loom, I would get it all mixed up and knotted, should see me trying to untangle small things. Sorry for your loss Rich. 💗💙🙋♀️🙋♀️
Having lost both of my parents in recent years, I offer my condolences. If I’m not mistaken, it was he who tweaked your interest in canal boats, so it’s nice that you can honor his memory each time you venture along your journeys. Take care!
Sorry to hear about your father dying, my husband died the beginning of the COVA 2020 epidemic but not of COVA. He had a lung disease diagnosed two years before with a limited time to live. My sympathy to you and your family I know of all the restriction as we could not even have a funeral.
So sorry for the loss of your dad ,Rich. My dad passed last December and we had a virtual graveside service. Fran your weaving looks like quite the process. You must have a lot of patience. Your work is beautiful.
A sad time for you both, especially with this wretched lockdown. How lovely though to see the daffodils and snow drops. Spring is almost there for you and the new boat too. Can't wait to see it. You are a marvel Fran. I would not have the patience for weaving. Your 'bucket list' sounds like ours. We are now 70 and time is flying bye. Covid means overseas travel is very limited so we may have to concentrate on seeing more of Australia for now. Love your vlogs and your happy faces.
So sorry Richard to hear about your dad, this Dementia is so hard on everyone, I lost my Husband 5 years ago with that. keep strong you are blessed with Fran at you side, she will look after you. regards Australia.
You do make such endearing videos, loved the happiness and patience that shines even through adversity, I do so hope we meet one day, bless you both, Guy
Condolences to both of you regarding Rich’s father. Good to see you again and I like to see your lovely faces! Rusting factory buildings aren’t my thing, ever, but beautiful people doing interesting things is always a bright spot for me. Keep calm and carry on!
From Stratford, Ontario, Canada So sorry for your loss Rich and Fran. Great to see your are both well and smiling. Your vlogs on anything you are doing are fun to watch. Stay safe. Best regards
So sorry to hear about your dad (you have the same smile). Even though I'm sure you've been grieving for years as the dementia increased, it's still hard for the final goodbye. And wow, Fran, what a job you have when you weave! Thanks for showing the process. I didn't realize all the steps you have to take!
I'm sorry for your loss. Love the music choices. I'm so excited about the new boat and you guys are just so talented with all you do. I'm still working on my rug making. I am so very inspired by the two of you.
It's very hard when we loose one of our parents when they live a long life and the last few years they have been ill. So sorry for your loss Rich - remembering the good times always works for me. Wow Fran the loom weaving is amazing and such patience - I only crochet and whilst some of the patterns are intricate adding, sorting & threading 150 pieces of takes the cake - hats off to you girl. Glad to see you both. Take care Debz from Oz
Good morning from Los Angeles. Sorry for your loss. Can't wait to see your new boat. You have the patience of a Saint with your weaving. Love your volgs.
Sorry to hear of your loss Rich, it's never easy losing a parent. It's fascinating to see the daffs just coming into flower where you are, down here in Cornwall they've been out for weeks, and most are going over now! Stay safe both,, Spring's around the corner and the days are lengthening all the time - here's to some warm sunshine and slightly less in the way of wind, although we are bracing ourselves for some strong gales over the next 48 hours. Heads down, and light our logburners!
Hi from Arizona. I love seeing your lovely faces AND the scenery. Condolences on your loss. I loved seeing your weaving!!!! Spring is coming and hope is around the corner! xoxoxoxoxo Susan

So sorry for your loss Rich. I hope the you were able to share some good memories of your dad with your daughter when she visited. Thank you Fran for the amazing explanation of your weaving process. It certainly is a lot of work and takes infinite patience. Hoping you can 'have that coffee' soon with someone and you get your feet issues sorted. Lots of walks ahead!
So sorry to hear of your loss Richard Looking forward to seeing your new boat Hopefully it will be ready when lockdown ends Better times ahead for all of us 👍👍👍👍
So sorry for the loss of your dad, Rich. Condolences to you and your family. Part of life but that certainly doesn't make it easy. 💜 Fran the behind the scenes look at the looming was great. As an artist myself I always enjoy learning about the processes of other artists and different media. Your work is so beautiful and now I have a little understanding of how it comes to be and what's involved. It's good that you weavers are out there creating your lovely textiles, because I would never have the patience for it. Although, I am sure that there are plenty who would not have the patience to do what I do, so it all works out to the benefit of us all! 😊
So sorry to hear the sad news about your dad Rich. It’s such a difficult time to have a funeral when all you want to do is hug your family. My condolences to you all. Fran, you have the patience of a saint to do that threading onto your loom. It was lovely to see how your beautiful scarves etc are made though. Mine gets loads of complements when I wear it! Know how you’re feeling now about the boat wait. My shell will be in the water 6 weeks today. Then fit out begins! Stay safe and well xxx
So sorry for you and your family's loss. Big hugs!

In some ways I think it is easier than intricate crochet and can be quite meditative and relaxing. It does require some concentration though.

It's amazing what a difference there is now we are quite far north. It is also blowing s hooley today !
Sorry to hear of your loss. Great to see the two of you looking so well.

Thank you
We're sorry to hear of your loss Rich, very sad time for Fran too of course. Spring is just around the corner and we'll be out of this mess soon enough. Thanks for brightening our evening, despite that requested industrial footage.. R&T
Thank you Mary. We did enjoy some funny memories and it was wonderful to see Clare
Sorry for you loss Rich x Enjoy Wheelock, lived there until I was 12 so no wonder I have canal in my blood

Let's hope so
Sorry for your loss. My thought are with you
So sorry for the loss of your dad, Rich. 😊
I guess there is patience in all art. I actually find the whole process quite relaxing and meditative once I lose myself in it.
@@FloatingOurBoat yes, I know that feeling. That’s what keeps us making our art! 🎨
I have do much patience at the loom, not so much waiting for the new boat
