It depends, some Mii costumes look very ugly and not like a good representation of the character, the Tails and Knuckles Miis look so ugly to me that I prefer to pretend they don’t exist, I’m ok with the assist trophies tho

No, you ain't. I have no issues with anyone being costumes. Sure, I wish they were fighters and I wish characters who are already fighters didn't have costumes unless it was based on a past or new outfit like with Smash 4 Link and Woolly Yoshi outfits.

3:14 sakurai meant the tekken 7 customization mode. You can change you character to have a lot of different costumes and stuff. Theres an alternate gold color for every characters P1 costume.

Same. I immediately got Yakuza vibes from that alt. Although I consider his Golden alt reminiscent of Dragon Ball cuz he kinda gives me Super Saiyan Vegeta vibes. Along with his early Tekken P2 look.

Fun fact, Shantae's Mii costume costume is specifically based off her appearance in 1/2 Genie Hero rather than her other four looks from other games in her franchise. It's actually really cool when you consider that this is our first real look at what an official 3D model of Shantae would look like.
Like, the tip of her ponytail now features a little split fringe that almost resembles the end of a bullwhip, something that was completely absent from any other Shantae art from Wayforward, meaning Sakurai and his designers added that touch themselves. Which just makes me really damn happy to think about.

In Tekken 7, you can customize character appearances with items and different clothing options. One of the unlockables for the whole cast are the "metallic" accessories, which are just gold/silver variants of the character's default outfits (mostly the player 2 variants iirc). Kazuya's 8th costume is him decked out with the metallic bottom, top, and hair accessories from T7.
The P8 outfit is just the Level 35 Boss Kazuya

I'm so hyped for all the costumes and the last fighter.
The character I ever least expected to get in Smash (Hero DQ8) got in, so after that everything has been smooth.
Hell, even Byleth, Pyra, and MinMin I wanted so bad but was 100% ready to accept they wouldn't get in.
While I feel bad for anyone who didn't get their favorite characters in, I gotta say, this year was an absolute blessing imo
shit i got sephiroth,ffvii music, another stage kof representation and tekken reps thats all i need. im from the fgc but i see smash as a museum of gaming history and as much fun as the game is and to the disappointment of smash fans unfortunately which makes me a little sad we got some much needed fgc reps in terry and kazuya heres to hoping the last character will fufill someones wish out there even if its not my pick i wont be disappointed as honestly the only characters that will get me excited are maybe crash and sora but idc if they are in or not im satisfied

I do wanna help point out that Kazuya's P2 outfit is also a reference to his appearance in the opening intro of Tekken Tag 1 and even on the North American Box art of the game too.
1:27 this costume kinda looks like Kiryu kazuma. It makes sense because if you swap the letters around in the word "Kazuya", you get "Yakuza". And if you take out the Y in "Kazuya", you get "Kazuma", as in "Kazuma Kiryu"

Same. Honestly don't know how Chief would work as a fighter, but I love the Halo games and would like to see him in it with his other Microsoft reps (Banjo/Steve), so a costume is perfect for me.

While I will not deny this journey has been 1 hell of a ride, the fact that the end is right around the corner actually makes me abit depressed.
First it was the "NX Rumour Era" where Smash Bros was commonly brought up, then once the system finally released, we started getting rumours of a new Smash Bros but we couldn't decide whether it would be an enhanced port of Smash Bros 4 or a full on new game.
This was then followed by the reveal that everyone was returning which frankly made all of us lose our minds only to then have those hypes heightened even more with the reveal of Ridley, a character people had argued about for years. From there we had everything from VergeBen leaks, Simon and King K Rool, Isabelle, that blasted Grinch Leak, and finally Ken and Incineroar. And that was really just the start, from there it's everything DLC which pretty much carried on the hype train with the only real downer being Byleth even though I personally really wanted them.
But now...it's almost finished and we're likely gonna be waiting for at least 3 years before any new Smash News. And even then, I don't expect the next game to top this one, SSBU is just so insane that I can't possibly seeing Nintendo and Sakurai being able to repeat and surpass it so really, we're gonna be waiting for what will likely be an inferior SSBU.....and I find that depressing...

Worth noting that he has a purple alt of his suit in Tekken 7 as well (although that one has a black tie instead of a red tie).
I really wish we'd gotten his Tekken Tag opening color like you predicted, but I'm quite satisfied with what we got.
Alt 4 for kazuya looks like kiriyu from yakuza series and it’s my main kazuya skin.

I was personally hoping for Shantae myself. But I’m not disappointed in the Mii costume. At least she’s represented.
Dragonborn was the only one that I was championing for. The Mii fighter costume is garbage.

I was actively rooting AGAINST Dante because of how annoying his "fans" were. I'm very sorry for anyone who actually cares for this character, but seeing this middle finger to all the 12 year old fake fans made me laugh.
Honestly tho? Some of the characters that people want in Smash do not fit the game at all. Like people want shit like the Doom Marine, Master Chief, Dante. They're cool and all. But they honestly don't fit and would look extremely out of place if they were added. At least the current DLC fighters fit the game, at least in my mind, yes, even Steve and Joker.

Re: Kazuya's gold outfit and what Sakurai said: Some of the Tekken games have had unlockable golden textures in Customisation for hair and clothes. Because it's his T7 suit, Sakurai was probably directly referring to that.
Call me crazy for suggesting this but, an idea for a series for this channel is similar to this BUT for each fight in world of lights story mode. The small details put into spirit fights, the map, even the background of Galeem and Dharkons fights.
I even noticed that fights that unlock a character have art of Galeem/Dharkon in the background depending where you are.

the silver and red costume for kazuya reminded me of kiryu cuz like they both fight with fists generally and stuff, so I thought it could have been a reference or something, but probably not lmao
I, for one, and SUPER happy that Shantae got in as a Mii Costume, and a really well done costume on top of that. I'll take a costume anyway than just a spirit, and thankfully Mii Brawler is great.
The formal coat is actually older than Tekken 7, he wore it as well in the opening cutscene for Tekken Tag Tournament 1 on the PS2 (Though the dress shirt was originally a dark blue and the tie a plaid yellow, still counts imo). I've honestly waited for that coat to be an actual costume since I first played Tekken Tag as a kid... Only took 18 years, technically I only waited for 15 years since I was born in 97 and didn't play till 2000.

Kazuya is an anagram of Yakuza and his silver suit looks like Kiryu Kazuma, the Dragon of Dojima and father of the year from the Yakuza series
The black suit is from tekken 7 but actually it first appeared 20 years ago in the opening cinematic of Tekken tag tournament 1
Feel like you could’ve gone in more detail on the Dragonborn costume (like listing the name of each armour pieces and weapon)
Weapon is still sword. It's an Iron Helmet Boot and Gauntlet with I believe studded armor

The gold colour scheme comes from Tekken 7 in which the gold color was a pre-order/season 1 DLC for all charactere. This can be customized on the character to get that exact look. It's only cosmetic and has no other features.

The golden statues Sakurai talked about are all over the Mishima's Dojos and fancy rooms I believe that's what he was talking about

The purple suit could also be a reference to Kazuya's adopted brother Lee Chaolan. This is due to how Lee is as a flamboyant fighter and is commonly seen in flamboyant colors, with purple/violet being his most common. Not to mention, Lee as an alter-ego in the form of Violet, where he's seen wearing violent clothing, as well as dying his hair purple.

One thing that nobody seems to mention is that the Dragonborn design used for the costume and the actual in-game armor aren’t the same. The “official” Dragonborn’s studded armor has a shoulder guard on the right and darker browns as opposed to the tan-colored armor seen in-game,

I feel like Kazuya’s 4th alt (silver coat) looks suspiciously similar to Kazuma Kiryu’s outfit
(2:00) For a character like Kazuya, having a white shirt in that alt would help it stands out more on mirror matches. They really need to consider this when making alts.

When I saw Kazuya's gold color i originally mistook it as brown-ish and thought it was a reference to Mokujin.
Tekken 7 u can get a gold version of every character in custom creation if I remember right.

In Tekken, if you win 10 times with Tetsujin in a row, Tetsujin turns gold. In all the arcades I went to, pros played with Gold Tetsujin, using the pose and hand positions to know which character they were playing. This is probably the reference to the all-gold outfit.

For the Dante Mii, that leak that Dante could be a dlc fighter is probably what this deal was for?
I think you might be slightly colour blind as the 1st alternate colour is purple, not dark red like the Dark Resurrection iteration you mentioned. The flame on his left leg (not easily visible in the video) is dark red and is a different colour from the rest. The gloves (they're not hand wraps, btw) are also purple. You do the same with the following one in that you say it's white however it is in fact silver.
These recolours aren't from any of the other games, they are simply recolours that in some cases, reference some of his older costumes. The purple suit for example is a reference to what he wears in Tekken 2 as you mentioned. I'm sure if Tekken 2 was remade with modern graphics, that's what he would be wearing.
You also said there were 16 Tales of games to date. That obviously doesn't include Tales of Arise as that isn't out but even not including that, there are in fact 17 Tales of games not including spin-offs and remakes/remasters. Here they are in release order:
