What’s the update on your reliability report on that scroll compressor? The oil that needs constant refill can get pretty expensive. Dewalt 30 gallon 2 hp 175 psi portable air compressor has a 62 db rating for a $1,300 price.
I have not had any issues. That dewalt compressor seems very overpriced, the harbor freight compressor featured in this video has the same specs and is only around $500.
Amazed at how quiet it is. I've heard good things about Yeti too although I'm not sure about their quieter options. Interested to see how this compressor performs, especially with the higher price point.
I've never encountered a quiet unloader valve. But, a simple solution I found is wrap a washcloth around it, muffles it tremendously.

I’ve got an older Quincy QT-5 and it works great but it’s extremely loud, hopefully I can get it moved to an outside shed.
