Letsdig18, from reading bout half of these comments, it seems like you're doing only fairly ok operating. Maybe these know-it-alls will post some REALLY good operating videos to show us all how much better they are.
Such a cool vid LD18. I'm sure you don't have trouble finding guys to haul for you. Looks like you treat them and their trucks with respect and keep em rolling!
@letsdig18 i should make a video like this but instead of a large ex id use my compact ex like the tb016 and instead of dump trucks i should use idiots with wheel barrows what do you think about that? i would do somethin like that
mine actually tend to operate faster once everything is nice and hot? but If your hard digging stumps you can tell it gets a little weaker once everything gets boiling hot.
I have over 40 yrs under my belt and have ran alot of excavators and loaded MANY trucks. Your a good hand 'letsdig18'. One thing I noticed however is some spillage from the bucket onto the side and tailgate of the truck. If the trucks are not going going onto a highway then that's not a big problem. HOWEVER, if the trucks ARE going on the highway the truckers tend to get a tad pissed when that happens because they have to clean it off first. Other than that I'd give you a 9. Good job.
Dont park under my bucket then. I stack the shit half way up my dipper if I'm benched in right and yes I lose a bit too. They are gone in 8 buckets. Spilling dry dirt who cares. With the clamp on the dipper he can't load anymore in if he wanted too and it's also causing some spillage as he crowds the bucket. I'm sure you can see that too. Without the clamp you can get quite a bit more in.
Nice loading Chris. Quick question, with your Volvo's when your running hard like that and the hydraulics heat up do you see your cycle times slow down? I have been running a 460 for the last month and around mid day it slows down, down right gets weak. Changed the pumps, checked the valve bank and they say all is fine.?.?
From driving dump trucks... and also operating... I will tell you why it is like this. Most of these trucks have CB radios in them and the antennas arent adjusted for SWR. Therefore the operating range of these radios is typically less than a mile. They are bored and they want someone to talk to. So what happens is.. you load a truck.. he will creep until some of his buddies catch up... Also, When you pay them by the hour, they tend to also drive 10-20mph under the speed limit.
Oh!!, mighty fine music.too too sweet to my old 80 listening to good music ears. And I enjoyed the poor predicaments some of the big machery was involved in. Such sweet little parts you include into your great programs. Fondly, from one of your over an over watchers . Mrs. Job
I’m thinking you have to piece meal some of this dirt hauling or it would darn near break your bank if you had to pay for all these. Great videos and fast moving job with no b.s. to slow you down. 👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
idk, I am beginning to think it is the computer slowing the engine down for some reason, like it is saying something is to hot because when you get it in a bind you can't hear the turbo spool up like norm.
We had a Matbro teleram that did the same thing, it was used for buckraking silage. It was fine whilst it was cold but as soon as you got around dinner time it would just slow down until it would hardly move, we had it from new and although we had several fitters come and look at it we never got it to work right once it was hot
Oh another thing, the bigger your bucket the less scoops you need to get out the rigs faster. But here in Hawaii where I work we use long beds and semi's to haul dirt / rocks / sand.
is there some weight restrictions on the roads you are using? in wisconsin quads gross at 72k. just wondering i know you must have a good reason for 3/4 loads
I would hire this guy, doesn't honk (very irritating), drivers don't have to clean off side rails, very fast & neat, topsoil isn't that heavy, but in my state you have to have 8" of freeboard or the operator will get the traffic ticket (i know). If you can grade as good as you load, you are an operating engineer!

Excellent operating technique, as well as your time management for loading, allowing no wasted motion with a full-bucket load!
That Volvo seems to have a nice loading cycle speed. Good to watch.
Now you sound like James I didn't see her at all I thought you were going to tell you were going over there
his cuts are great. nice to watch
181 fired operator's hit dislike button
low tonage road you can only gross 6.5 tons per axle
Such a cool vid LD18. I'm sure you don't have trouble finding guys to haul for you. Looks like you treat them and their trucks with respect and keep em rolling!
Anyone else on a "watching heavy machinery videos" marathon? :3

Just a Random Dude cav
Just a Random Dude me!!!
I am loading with a cat 390 right now. Would not have it any other way.
Just a Random Dude me
Nice heaped buckets, helps to have loose material to really pump out the loads!
Great video, let's see a classic letsdig loading tandems from in the cab with flip flops on!

You can bring some of that dirt my way I could use a load.
No matter how spread apart they are when they leave, there always stacked up comin back

its was pretty dry and sandy so it fell right off. nothing like some sticky clay though that will make you have to get out and scrape it lol

Diggin ponds seems to be a big business "over there"?

Smooth!
Gotta give ya' credit, you don't fart-around when it comes to loading!☺

Yeah and a good truck driver would make sure he cleans of any dirt of the tailgate and sides be4 he goes on roads that's what we do in uk
They would slow you down too much on a short haul like this anyhow..
What a great and smooth operator!!!good luck!!

Отлично! Это Видео прекрасно. . Буду рекомендовать своим подписчикам .
Whats the gross weight on those trucks,5 axles seems a bit much for a rigid tipper?
Der Volvo EC210 Bagger ist richtig gut, mein Volvo V70 auch.
The Volvo EC 210 excavator is really good, as is my Volvo V70.
Great driver I'm 25 and drive 30ton on sewers have to load out trucks. I'll upload soon
I wonder if the top soil is given to companies to filter for sale. I know the clay is used as filler.
Looks like good top soil.Boys are keeping you busy.Must be a short haul

But here in Hawaii where I work we use long beds and semi's to haul dirt / rocks / sand.
they lower them once they hit the paved road to prevent damage to them
thanks man, didn't even realize it lol just needed to get closer to the truck!
Nice video 🏗🏗🏗🏗
topsoil shouldn't be that heavy when fully loaded on those trucks. not as heavy as clays and cravel..etc. and looks dry too. good video btw!
What do they load ? 10 metric tonnes for 5 axles ?
are the blue trucks a part of your company? because if they are, they are the cleanest and nicest ones there
Hey bud are you in Ohio? I’m local 18 myself just wondering. Nice loading
Raleigh NC.
great~
How can I apply for a truck driving job ??
How big is the bucket on that excavator?
You have better Grip on the driven axles when more weight is on it . Also it saves Tires if u have to turn hard.
How much this cost?
is there some weight restrictions on the roads you are using? in wisconsin quads gross at 72k. just wondering i know you must have a good reason for 3/4 loads

I did not know if that was a truck vid or an excavator vid.
