That framing in 2:36 with Mephistos statue towering behind the player above a defeated Lilith is impressive. By that alone it seems fairly clear the character is nothing more then an unwilling servant of the lord of hatred
yeah, symbolizing that both lillith and the player character were pretty much just pawns, meant to fight and distract each other so he would find a way back into sanctuary again
Yup he got what he wanted by praying on everyone's fear and (ahem on point) Hatred of him and the other prime evils, he couldn't escape his prison himesle so he manipulated someone to do it for him...and sounds like they're headed for Kurast to check out that portal we never closed
Not entirely, after Neyrelle not showing up at chapel and writing a farewell letter to us like a Christopher Nolan-ish ending, our work to sort things right will begin. As Mephisto said: "there will be times when we will be enemies"
@@thahoule7924And die as always happens, the eternal conflict is also about destroying those things and restoring order… and then Mephisto returns… And dies…
I hate that they killed off Lilith tho instead of sealing her She was a badass female character that everyone actually liked and they killed her off , Their woke devs smoke a special type of crack 😂 I would've liked if the player ended up teaming up with Lilith as a cliff hanger to take on meohisto And the next game Lilith could have been like tyrael from past games But that's giving the devs too much credit tbh
Lorath's "Now we are truly alone ....father and mother are dead" is such a good line. I remember my mom telling me this is the crushing feeling she had when her mother finally passed, leaving her without any more parents.
They wrote Inarius as a sniveling sycophant for Heaven because portraying a complicated relationship between him and Lilith would have required actual brainpower.
In his defense he has spent a long time in hell tortured in ways with methods and tools we can scarcely imagine in our limited horror. He shouldn't be expected to be of sound mind and rational after such an experience.
Also, it's current Blizzard, I won't disregard some "woke" stuff coming to the story. Not saying it's there 100%, but 80% sure that "strong female character" will come up in some interview with devs)
@@Celebi50 Yep. Firstly, if you follow current "progressive social trends" with all your might, it doesn't magically makes you a wonderful person, free from all corporate shit. And secondly, those "woke" folks are quite notorious for trying to ruin your life if you're not on the same page as them.
I cant have been the only one that felt bad for killing Lillith, she showed time and time again that she cares for humanity while her ways was not Entirely good. it was more good then any evil has done. hell even most angels disliked humans beside Tyreal, though I asked myself is Lillith really dead since demons & Angels tends to return over the time that they die
There are so many grammar mistakes in this that I have to correct it: I can't have been the only one that felt bad for killing Lilith; she showed time and time again that she cares for humanity. While her ways were not entirely good, they were better than anything evil has done. Hell, even most angels, besides Tyrael, disliked humans. Though I asked myself: "Is Lilith really dead?" because demons and angels tend to return eventually.
Prime and Lesser evils only can "will" themselves out into freedom from their prisons inside gems. Angels can reform themselves into an reset consciousness after a set amount of time when perfect harmony is achieved in High Heavens. Inarius _can_ reform itself if there is perfect harmony, but the council wouldnt allow him to unless there is some urgent crisis. Lilith is just simply unable to do something like that. Butcher demons only _can_ salvage a portion of the essence that made Lilith, Lilith into some other "fodder demon". While that new fodder demon wouldnt technically be Lilith, it _could_ rise to or obtain power with the influence of that essence and become a new key figure in Burning Hells. Thats how The Butcher came to be, there are also many other example in Sin War, Prime Evils themselves exalting their lieutenants into being key figures, Astaroth is one prime example of this.
Would be pretty cool if we could pick sides in the story and had multiple endings. For example before this fight with Lilith, we could choose to side with her and had the option to destroy Mefisto. I didn't expect much of the story but hope the next DLC's will bring more depth.
I haven't played yet but watching all the cinematics I would totally side with LIlith... be nice for a change of pace in these very linear diablo games
I do understand that lilith intentions were pretty much better. But siding with her? Have you not seen how she does things? Turning people into madmans, summoning evil etc.
@@doroza2lolyour naive view of taking actions to achieve a goal are limited in scope. In such a flawed world, Lilith makes the most sense as character. You think like cathedral of light and inarius,
I've never played Diablo but these cinematics are so good I've watched them all... And I'm findind myself empathizing with Lilith much more than Inarius, who is only self serving. I'd call Lilith a force for good if she wasn't so indifferent to any suffering she caused in pursuit of her goals.
Lilith is a good example of a compelling villain! However, another good villain in this story is Mephisto... He clearly wanted all of this to happen to be in the stone to be brought back to sanctuary to be released there and work on getting his two brothers back... It was mentioned a few times to not trust him at all and I think his play on words in the beginning of the video were truthful in that if she traps him the fate of all humanity is at risk because he will have a way to be released on sanctuary. Its brilliant! Never try to out smart a prime evil I guess lol
The writing of the Diablo games is getting stale considering similar events have happened in the previous Diablo games and nobody seems to learn anything from the mistakes of the previous games. Everybody should've known by the time of Diablo 4 that using the Soul Stones on the Prime Evils is a bad idea because the Prime Evils want to be trapped into the soul stones so they can corrupt the soul stones and the world stone. I don't know why people keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again.
What was Lilith's endgame exactly? She claims it's to protect Sanctuary from Hell, but she unleashes hell on her own, leading to the same torture and suffering people would get from the Prime Evils. I would've liked her to be more 'maternal' towards humans, with Inarius being the real villain. Instead they're both evil. Also why is Heaven doing nothing the entire story? Where is Tyrael? Where is Imperius? It's crazy that they're doing nothing while Lilith is spawning demons everywhere and the Nephalem v4 is throwing hands in Hell.
@@Intranetusa humanity itself always repeats the same mistakes. Look at our current society for example, we keep reliving the same if not worse mistakes of our past . I say worse, cause the mistakes that you think we should have learned from are made again but in a different way. The only difference this time is that people want to alter the history books to fairytale it up in their own ideology. So in turn, the game of Diablo 4 is only playing out the same as what goes on here on repeating the mistakes.
@@Intranetusa Diablo 4 itself makes no sense to exist as in D3 we literally killed effectively TATHAMET itself (i.e. ALL the Prime Evils combined) + an ARCHANGEL too, which is about as complete a defeat of the franchises' villains as you could possibly get. Compared to that D4 is a massive step down in power level (there's nothing powerful about either Lilith or Inarius - they were literally scared of their own children) and a story that shouldn't exist as the entire thing should just be over now.
I believe Neyrelle is feeling the dark influence of Mephisto and is somewhat influenced by the Lord of Hatred to do his bidding. I believe Mephisto somewhat mellowed due to the loss of his children and his constant failures. If Lilith did have feelings for Rathma, I believe Mephisto does the same for his children. However, Mephisto's view that his children are tools outweighs whatever "demonic love" he had for them. Nevertheless, Mephisto is the most strategic Prime Evil and he still has eyes for Sanctuary and its potential to win the Eternal Conflict. Based on Neyrelle's letter, I believe she will make her "mistakes" and the wanderer has to come and fix it. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Considering how many even I myself believe everything till now has occurred due to the plan mephisto set long ago, I wager that everything is going fine as per his plan Ney included. Kinda annoyed tbh.
I had high hopes, even was intrigued by Inarius and Lilith being in the game (because they were just legends level lore before that), but this is pretty underwhelming.
@@pracitus Several people who understand have already explained it to me, his soul is in hell and hers is in a soul stone that I said right after their fight, don't invent ... the W will return for sure in DLCs or future games
@@xleanssx Keep hoping. The game and story on its own was terrible which is why you see people trying to rationalize and stuff. They’re trying to find something salvageable.
I get CHILLS every time the emotional music ends at 1:40 after saying goodbye and lilith's song starts to play, and your character slowly turns to face her with a "Lets finish this" look on their face. Just EPIC
not gonna lie, I think Lilith has a point. I side with Lilith on this one. I would rather stop fighting. feel like Lilith actually cares instead of the angels
Lilith was just gonna use the people for her own ambitions. She wants to take on Hell and Heaven later. She is not some light hearted mother that actually wants peace, she is still for power and control. According to Rathma, Lilith was quite happy to manipulate others to her own means. Even her desire to save the nephalem from extinction was not due to any motherly concern, but because she wanted them as her servants.
Guys if you look carefully, at 0:32, the full shadow of Mephisto manifests behind her. This means, he has some hold/possession over her now the moment she put the stone in (her arm momentary changes as some of his essence is absorbed i guess?). Remember this prime evil is strategic and prefer to plan things instead of fighting. We can expect this was all his plan. The prime evil also wants them to use the stone so they can corrupt them easily:) This is some minor details someone can tell something from.
Why do you explain this like it's an insane plot device that nobody picked up. It's the most predictable and redundant story trope ever since the dawn of this franchise (D1) and they still used it. Underwhelming and mediocre..... prospects of lazy writing.
lol please fk off , over the last a few years I bought every 9/10 10/10 triple A games and other than a couple of them such as the last of us series and god of wars I cant even stay interested for others more than fkn 5 hours, they all bore me out, total waste of money, D4 is one of the best games I have played over these years, totally hooked, look forward to sink in it for another 100+ hours prob even more, totally worth every cent as far as dollar per hour is concerned, so you can really just fk off , no one cares about your stupid opinion
Blizzard are again pushing their stupid trick with a hint of greater evil/enemy/raidboss coming, and the current final villain was just trying to help/save/prepare us. They are doing it in WoW. They are doing it in Diablo also.
I wanted to side with Mephisto (and later on Lilith) when asked by them, but my character said no... That was a huge L. Don't tempt us into a nice twist and then force us to say no, when we may want to say yes.
I don't even get reason to say no to Mephisto, he literally saved the player character multiple times. Obviously he can betray after that, he's demon, but then we will have boss fight with him. Killing Mephisto without fight was so disappointing, next what? Diablo will be killed without fight in a cutscene?
Why side with the demons who will then use you to destroy Sanctuary or enslave the human race? Basically you would become similar to the other people who decided to join the Prime Evils, who all had terrible ends... Namely in that they became twisted shadows of their former selves... I never can understand why people want to jump to the dark side and have harmless fun, when if you were suddenly in that reality in real life you would be amazingly miserable for your choices made in game...
Mephisto didn't die, he won! He manipulated Nyrelle and the player to achieve all of his goals from the very start - now he has a free ride out of hell in the soulshard.
In Diablo games you never had any choice. As a hack and slash, Diablo is a good game, but as an RPG is an completely and utter trash. So I dont have any clue, what it is called RPG.
Lilith is a great villain, but the amount of people who would side with her and submit to her rule is insane lol. IMO the point of the story is that it's better to fight off the greater evil from time to time, than be a slave to a lesser one. She would subjugate all of humanity to her own goals, where only the strong and insane would survive.
Still significantly less suffering under her than all eternity. Also she only needed the survival of the fittest for the war to break the stalemate. If she had won eventually it wouldn't matter and future humanity would be in a much better position. I would've sided with her.
@@Goro_Maj1ma wdym 'all eternity'? Humanity is at least free and it has to fight for that freedom all the time. Even if she's our mom, she's still a demon. She may be a different kind of evil compared to the primes, but still an evil. She wouldn't just 'let us be' after she won. It would have been a cruel and savage civilization enslaved to a demon's every whim.
So they took three most interesting characters of franchise, and killed them all off in the lamest way possible? Well, current Blizzard never fails to disappoint.

I think D3 really set in stone (lol) that Diablo was the greatest planner of the hells. Diablo almost singlehandedly got the entire council of heaven to turn against on another. He sacrificed a lot to do so. Diablo unlike a lot of other prime evils and devils/angels didn't really value his own existence, and would just choose to return.
This comment is really funny to me. Because it either means this guy watched the cinematic and was like ''Well, that's all I was here for, no need to buy the game''. Or he was ''Well, that sucked. Based on that cinematic the whole game sucks''. Both are ridiculous as hell to me. And 174 people, at the time of this comment, liked that. Go figure.
I feel pretty bad for Lilith throughout the game, especially in the end. She just wanna help, strictly in her dictator way. And she's a very potential helper. But the payback price is just unacceptably high.
I felt bad for her after she saw her son Rathma had been killed, but any sympathy I might've had went down the drain after Act II. She was sad when her own child died, and knows what it means to lose one, but has no problem inflicting that same pain on someone else, as well as destroying everything they've built and hold dear, all just to spite them for resisting her temptations. I was intrigued, but in the end, she's undeniably evil.
@@GearShotgun I know what you mean. What she did to Donan and his son is unforgivable. I feel a bit bad for Elias too but in his case it's his own mistake all through.
You felt bad for... Lilith ? "Unleashing Hell on Sanctuary", "Killing innocents like it's nothing" (remember that one monk who got eaten alive by wolves ?), "influencing the minds of people" (I mean, it's basically mind control, so she can piss off with the whole "free will" thing). Her losing Rathma didn't make me feel bad for her one bit considering all the nasty things she did. Oh and nothing tells you that she wouldn't have killed Rathma herself if she came to him before Inarius and he refused her offers. After all, when you refuse her yourself, she basically traps you in your own mind. "She just wanna help" my ass.
His plan was to prevent Lilith from consuming his essence, something you helped him accomplish. If the Worldstone shard had fallen into her hands, that plan would be for nothing. So, less out of being nice, and more out of making sure his plan succeeds. As always, he's a self-serving villain, it's just that for the first time, his interests and the hero's align.
Lazy, arbitrary writing. He should not have been able to take any direct action _whatsoever_ once contained inside the stone. Over time, particularly powerful demons can exert an influence on their environment, but that takes a long time-- even for a prime.
@@sasca854 bruh there is dlc confirmed the soul stone is out there if he has influence over time I can guarantee he's coming back after taking over nayrelle
I really hope that this is not the end of Inarius and Lilith, I feel that their story was kind of cut short and underwhelming when it could have been so much more, a lot of people even theorized that what was fighting Lilith in the beginning was not Inarius but an imposter that was framing him, even though in the end that wasn't true it was still interesting and I honestly would have preferred that compared to the cowardly and backstabbing Inarius that we got, I am hoping that they redeem him and make him less shallow later if they bring him back seeing his design sort of inverted maybe with Crimson light Wings and demonic details along his armor would be really interesting, and maybe attempting to bring back Lilith in an attempt to repent for what he's done to her and their family realizing he wasted time attempting to earn passage once more into heaven.

It’s pretty obvious, when she stabbed something at the beginning of the video, the voice claims “You’ve sealed your faith”. She claims she would find Lorath but in the end, she went MIA, writing a letter to him where at the beginning, what she wrote, makes sense but he keeps reading it, and she starts saying crazy things, just like the Dark Wanderer in Diablo 2… “There's something dark within me now. They did Inarius really dirty imho, he needed way more screen time, at least another 4 scenes of story relevence and a boss fight. But if im honest, this makes me wonder if Imperius will be the angel to do what Inarius could not. Imperius is likley not gonna take the death of Tyrael's Lieutenant lightly and considering Elias was a human that summoned Lilith and humans caused this, I think hes gonna end up suddenly finding himself agreeing with Malthael that humanity was a mistake. If I have to suspect it, we have Mephisto as the obvious main antag of the first expansion, but I think Imperius will be set up as a secondary antag or even actual leading antagonist of this story since he might try to use this chaos to forcefully overpower hell and have heaven take control for once.
@@CptVanguard I don't understand why someone who ran away from the eternal war out of disgust would do everything just to be recognized by the supreme heaven. This makes me feel that he lacks consistency in his thinking
Let me get this straight, I'm no diablo fanboy (never bought this and D3) and just read up on lore to catch up. So basically they just rehashed the same ending with the past diablos with a slight diff way of going at it and you call this a good prep for the upcoming? We live in lalaland now to waste damn time waiting for an expansion for a "potential" of literal FRESH narrative when they could have done it with this base D4 itself? Touch grass.
Absolutely love this game so far, however the only issue I have is that it feels like a completely different narrative after the first act, Lilith the big bad only makes a handful of cameos and we’re left fighting the pale man only about 5 or 6 different times as he twirls his moustache and fucks right off only to annoy us and complete his journey of being the ultimate simp
I mean, in Diablo 2, you only really see the prime evils once each, and that's when you fight them. They were meant to be a menace that was ever lurking in the background. Not seeing who you are actually fighting is more terrifying imo.
My only complaint for D4 is it is online only. Now the game is amazing. It's has great characters. The storyline fits. It's like a mix of D2 and D3 together with the original theme music here and there. It's an amazing game. If you haven't played Diablo before, I encourage you to give it a shot.
Are uniques items uniques again? The treasure hunt was what I liked about D2 and what was killed in D3. With wildly different und useless stats for the same unique items it was pointless to go for treasure hunt.
Mephisto played them like a damn fiddle. Prime evils were never "beaten" by the lesser ones. They orchestrated their exile. Used it to corrupt the soulstone. But they were banished. What now? Oh damn, some new fools took it upon themselves to bring Mephisto from hell. Great job. For SOME REASON that girl is LITERALLY taking the same path to the east as Dark Wanderer did. I wonder why :D Great ending. All the sacrifices were in vain, and the Three soon will roam the Sanctuary again. Lilith achieved nothing. Heroes achieved nothing. The church of light is decimated, and there is no force in sanctuary to fight the forces of hell.
all 3 shots are actually mephisto. which is interesting, cause in the work-in-progess cinematic that leaked months ago, the 3 shots were atcually of the 3 prime evils. they probably changed it bc this story was about mephisto, and already showing baal and diablo would take a bit too much away from mephisto himself
Good ol' Neyrelle, a fraction of the experience and has only read some books but thinks she knows best. Either she was manipulated by Meph from earlier in the story, or she's just an idiot and is going to be responsible for bringing the primes back. Looks like she's on a boat for Kurast, so what... she's just going to take Meph back to his place in D2 so he can come back?

The moment they announced it as a live service with constant updates you know that multiple endings would not be possible since it would require more effort for them.
Was holding up hope for the option to choose who we side with. Ah well. Also, no demon in the Diablo universe can truly die. Destroying their soul stones maybe but Diablo 3 retconned that a bit 😅 truly with the expansion packs and DLC’s planned, this better not be the last we see of Lilith
wouldnt it be a better story if we managed to make lillith and inarius see eye to eye once again and maybe even HEAVEN FORBIT rekindle their love instead of this garbage?
Or at least have a back and forth as they each try to save sanctuary their own way. As they seek to outmaneuver each other, the collateral damage drags our character into the story to try and put an end to the damage being unleashed but gradually we learn of the greater threat looming should both parents fail... ah what the story could have been.
Same. I played the beta and it just didn't click for me. From what I've seen from gameplay video's I still don't like it. And maybe I'm wrong but Neyrelle reminds me too much of Leah of D3.
Lilith was basically the only one who could end Mephisto, and now, we are in for a bigger trouble- with Prime evil manipulating Nayrelle, who has him trapped within crystal.

Lilith is much better written than inarius. I like how Mephisto was portrayed in the game. I loved the story. Essentially Lilith wanted mephisto s power to destroy heaven and hell and ensure sanctuary’s existence. Yep all the ones that actually cared about and invested in the long term of Sanctuary are gone now. Lilith, Rathma, Inarius (well moreso before he was endlessly tortured) & Tyrael.
The animators clearly make more money than the writers (and deserve every penny). From what I've seen it looks like a decent game set in a familiar universe but the only negative I would agree with that is on plenty of other players minds is - "That's it?" The cinematic cutscenes were better in D3 although the battle in Hell was absolutely fucking ridiculous. If Inarius ended up being the big baddy at the end that would feel like a huge rip off of Maltheal doing the same thing.

Never try to out smart a prime evil I guess lol
no, it was blizzard that wants him back. and so alas, we now have diablo V

If they weren't trying to summon Mephisto, who is definitely evil, I'd say Lilith is not a bad option for nephilim.
You do realize she is just stalling for now until she builds her force now right? Ever read the lore about her?
The prime evil also wants them to use the stone so they can corrupt them easily:)
This is some minor details someone can tell something from.

I wonder why :D
Great ending. All the sacrifices were in vain, and the Three soon will roam the Sanctuary again.
Lilith achieved nothing. Heroes achieved nothing. The church of light is decimated, and there is no force in sanctuary to fight the forces of hell.
Blizzard keep surprising us with their lazy writing. It's the dark wanderer + D3 Leah again.😂
She is literally going west, not east
That final shot of Diablo in lilliths speech gave me goosebumps.
Goosebumps for a video game? 🌚
thats mephisto, not diablo
all 3 shots are actually mephisto. which is interesting, cause in the work-in-progess cinematic that leaked months ago, the 3 shots were atcually of the 3 prime evils. they probably changed it bc this story was about mephisto, and already showing baal and diablo would take a bit too much away from mephisto himself
@@xcaliber302 bruh, if you think that's a bad thing, you need to grow the fuck up.
The face in the third shot was different. The first two were Mephisto for sure.
I really love Lilith's voice actress' accent
Not that the ending and so on was bad but i feel there needs to be more changes of how things play out here and for future games.
Why don't they make movies like this ???
such beautiful cinematic
It's called Maleficent - which is basically what Lilith's design is taken from.
@@BlackoutsBoxi kinda agree
i love when gameclips said
"we must end it"
i wish blizzard would make full animated movies, imagine Diablo The Movie !
yeah it would be called blodiab
Good ol' Neyrelle, a fraction of the experience and has only read some books but thinks she knows best. Either she was manipulated by Meph from earlier in the story, or she's just an idiot and is going to be responsible for bringing the primes back. Looks like she's on a boat for Kurast, so what... she's just going to take Meph back to his place in D2 so he can come back?
Mephisto lives, Lilith dead, Inarius dead= Prime Evils happy af. Mephisto is clever and tricky so he will destroy that little girl and then he will revive Diablo and Baal, and next villain is that fanatic woman from cutscenes, cant remember name. Mark my words, you will see! Anyway, good game from Blizz!
I wanted to join Lilith 😭
She had Elias massacre an entire city with cannibals so they could summon Andariel. Then she massacred another city to get to the hell gate. I don’t know how many times the game showed she’s not a friend of humans.
@@akashic7348 Destroy a city to save the world. Sometimes you have to choose between bad and worse.
@@Drejkol That's such a silly take. She was allying herself with the likes of Brol and saying that "only the strong would survive"... "the strong"... Like Brol and Elias. If these are the people who would be uplifted and allowed to run amok in her new Sanctuary, then is it so different from Diablo's Sanctuary? I mean, she also poisoned the forest with the bloodstream of a druid, convinced another druid to summon a ghost army in the fog, allowed another city to be burned down by Astaroth after giving him an unwilling vessel just to punish his father... Do I need to go on? She's really not your friend.
It's like trying to side with Darth Sidious by claiming the Jedi Temple was a necessary sacrifice for Galactic Stability.
@@akashic7348 or like using a nuclear bomb when the better option was to use a massive invasion force, oh wait.
@@shatteredstar2149 No, it’s like empowering cannibals to rampage through a city, eating innocent men, women, and children, and willingly allying with their leader when the better option was… not doing that. I don’t know how many more corpses she needed to have under her and Elias’ name before you realize she’s just as bad as a prime evil herself. The only humans she showed any care for were the original Nephalem.
"This better not be the last time I see you" "If everything works out like I planned I will never see you again" 😅
“Writing” at its finest. AAA video game writing, at that. 🎉
Blizzard's writing team is shockingly incompetent.
Too funny
What was she going to tell her? Bitch, hear me out, this is the last time you hear from me. Imma run away with the stone and do some shit. Come on now.
She told the wanderer she better see them again. She told Lorath they won’t meet again. 2 different things.
It’s weird she died so early in the game lmfao… also it’s weird that they killed her off in general when she actually wanted to stop the eternal war. The way she did it was fucked up but her intentions were good
I guess killing her off is blizzard’s smooth brained option to create a new franchise of paid expansion packs for their addicted fan base.
I don't think her intentions were good, she wanted to end the conflict by winning it herself. She would use the power of the nephalaem and of hell together to wipe out the prime evils and the heavens so she could rule. Not much of a peace.
@@RavusNox-z5i You hit a nail in the head.
@@RavusNox-z5i because killing the obvious antagonist of the story has never happened before right? No diablo game has ever had an expansion before, or let alone any other game where the initial main antagonist has been killed, right? This is a brain dead take, if people enjoy the game they'll buy more.
The reason people give diablo games a chance and then shit on them is because by far they are the best in this genre.
PoE is the standard now, but it is also so meticulous and hard core that most people will never give it a shot, outside of PoE no game even comes close to what diablo is, even when it's a bad diablo game, it's still better than the rest.
@@imreallynothappy PoE is overbloated trash nowadays. Hoping poe2 can fix it.
I think the real deal breaker was Yorin's death. If Lilith hadn't wrecked him with the Soulstone, I bet this game wouldve ended differently.
Diablo IV Voice Acting is really good specially Lilith and Lorath
a baddie reveals he just tried to save us from a bigger baddie as he dies.
"a cosmos divided will not survive what is to come"
brilliant again blizzard keep bringing jailer esc villains
Watch them do Diablo wrong like they did Arthas in Shadow lands.
What did Lilith reaveal? That the prime evils are after Sanctuary? We've known that for more than a couple of decades now.
@@brandonlewis3379 not arthas. bolvar. and yes they did bolvar wrong so much
Who is here to recall the ending before pre-ordering the new dlc?
Basically rehashed content and a big let down. BIG thanx for the video, saved me the cost of the game.
Gods, this feels like it was written by the WoW writing team. Extremely disappointing, and i had low expectations to begin with.
Oh man... seeing Lilith just looks like Kerrigan but if she was in Diablo. She looked way more menacing and original in the first reveal trailer of the game
The guitar of Tristram's theme was such a nice touch
so brave, so stunning..... another garbage story
It does seem like that. The player is a sidekick in his own game
"And its cost will be more than you can pay". She's talking about the DLC and cosmetics, you guys.
So there's no Diablo in Diablo IV?
ahahaha
Yes lmaoooooooo
There's Diabla 😂😂😂😂
Blizzard music and art teams (unlike the rest) are as good as ever.
SO spending US60 just to see this in the end, good thing i avoid buying.
Some people spent more than US$90 though… damn

Wow lilith is still the temptress she is. Her real life lore is scary
Wow.. and here I thought we can side with LIlith.... WTF are the writers thinking. This is anti-climatic af.
They are sadly WOKE, and want to end there game, bye killing if off, while making buck, from people buying the game 😬
It's for why Diablo is NOT a RPG :)
@@orphancharmander1168 Woke Tourette's is a tragedy to witness. Is there some sort of charity I can give to that helps those who suffer from it?

The moment they announced it as a live service with constant updates you know that multiple endings would not be possible since it would require more effort for them.
9:30 onwards- Ive heard this longer version int he game. Can someone tell me what soundtrack this is from?
Yaaaayy! Just saved me $$$$! 😅😊
She ain’t mephisto will be the villain of the dlc expansion the first one
@@vikingfromnorth45 I know Mephisto is coming
@@vikingfromnorth45duh.
Damn those rare Tristram theme notes hits different
wouldnt it be a better story if we managed to make lillith and inarius see eye to eye once again and maybe even HEAVEN FORBIT rekindle their love instead of this garbage?
Or at least have a back and forth as they each try to save sanctuary their own way. As they seek to outmaneuver each other, the collateral damage drags our character into the story to try and put an end to the damage being unleashed but gradually we learn of the greater threat looming should both parents fail... ah what the story could have been.
Diablo 4... Nah nah this is Diablo 3.5... to play Diablo 4 please look forward to our future DLCs 😂
That was lame beyond reason. No money for you, Blizzard.
Same. I played the beta and it just didn't click for me. From what I've seen from gameplay video's I still don't like it. And maybe I'm wrong but Neyrelle reminds me too much of Leah of D3.

Nyerelle the new Aidan
Lorath the new Cain.

Lilith is a good example of a compelling villain! However, another good villain in this story is Mephisto.
I did not want to fight Lilith. :( She's the OG!
giga cringe lol
Am I the only one who thinks Lilith, the icon of Diablo 4, was killed off too easily?? 😢
Lilith was basically the only one who could end Mephisto, and now, we are in for a bigger trouble- with Prime evil manipulating Nayrelle, who has him trapped within crystal.
easy give a call to necrodaddy from d2 and the pala uncle and they close the call easy like they did decades ago.

I'm sure she'll be able to get where ever she's going alone to seal the crystal and nothing bad will happen.
Just trap all the souls of the demons and angels into soul stones and toss them into diablo's version of Antarctica and then be done with it. Worst case scenario they all wake up and look around and say...."WHERE THE HELL ARE WE AND WTF IS THIS FREEZING HELL?". Even the yeti demons would freeze there and unless they got penguin demons they wouldn't last long. Plus it would be thousand of kilometers until the next land mass with people.

Lilith is much better written than inarius. I like how Mephisto was portrayed in the game. I loved the story. Essentially Lilith wanted mephisto s power to destroy heaven and hell and ensure sanctuary’s existence. I do not agree, let the humans fight for their own existence without surrendering their fates completely to a scheming bitch.
A good ending to a great franchise
I like how they had a badsss female character and killed her off at the end 😂

Blizzard teasing the price of the Mephisto Expansion 3:30
800% value brother
Killing Lilith makes you nothing but the villain in this game. Waste of one of the few beings that cared about sanctuary.
Diablo>all
Damm that was anticlimatic af. Thought she would do so much more
At least inarius is dead.
Yep all the ones that actually cared about and invested in the long term of Sanctuary are gone now. Lilith, Rathma, Inarius (well moreso before he was endlessly tortured) & Tyrael.
She literally made people into blood thirsty inbreds who killed everyone on sight
This ending had me tearing up. Diablo 4 is by FAR the best story that Blizzard has ever done.
half a game double the price xD
The animators clearly make more money than the writers (and deserve every penny). From what I've seen it looks like a decent game set in a familiar universe but the only negative I would agree with that is on plenty of other players minds is - "That's it?" The cinematic cutscenes were better in D3 although the battle in Hell was absolutely fucking ridiculous.
If Inarius ended up being the big baddy at the end that would feel like a huge rip off of Maltheal doing the same thing.
