I’m pretty sure they had a paper to write room number on and would charge you extra for alcohol in club lounge. I would recommend calling to ask as I’m honestly not completely sure.
The St. Regis Hong Kong is my favorite hotel in the entire world. I've stayed in it 7 times in the last 2 years and I promise that it will not disappoint. I've never stayed at the JW Marriott in Hong Kong but I did stay at the Upper House for 10+ times ever since it opened in 2008. The Upper House is in the same building as the JW Marriott but it is higher up and the rooms start from 70 sqm (double the size of JW Marriott), you could totally try it next time! It used to be my favorite hotel but it was topped by the St Regis recently
That’s amazing you have been able to stay there so often! You will really enjoy my review next Saturday! It’s the St. Regis and yes it did get a perfect score!! And also one of my favorite hotels ever!!
JW Phu Quoc photos look like a more stylish Disney on a perfect bay. In reality it looks like a dusty haunted house and there isn’t a single fish in the bay. Only some trash may float up. They also seem to have listening devices in the room as I was complaining about the Pepsi and even though they don’t have Coke products, they knocked on the door with some. Still…absolute no to that place. The Regent is a great brand to check out
did the hotel give you any trouble or go out of their way to help at all for you making the video. I ask these questions because i want to work with them on a project. I love that hotel. I stayed when I was a kid in 1991 and want to go back.@@gogotravelwithjosh
I don’t mention that I make video reviews, unless I’m asked about it or make friends on property with the staff. No one at this property knows I made a video review.
when i was there in 1991 they were building an arcade a bit near where the pool is. was there a games room/arcade kind of near the pool area just outside the hotel. Also, how did you like the large mall beside the hotel. Sorry, but this hotel really fascinates me a lot.@@gogotravelwithjosh
Ever since 2019 there's not really any point in going to HKG anymore. Some international companies are now focusing on other places in the region such as Singapore for their Asia presence.
Thanks Josh, with platinum elite status, what sort of alcohol beverage do you get in the executive lounge during cocktail or night cap hours?

I’ve never liked a single JW or Sheraton property. Ick. I can tell you don’t love it either. Why do this to yourself? ❤
Did you go to the convenience store in the basement. I remember it well from when I stayed there’s
I honestly did not know they had that or maybe I missed it. Maybe I’ll find it next time after I go back when they renovate everything

The mall was nice. I didn’t spend that much time in the mall but it’s a nice option for something to do within walking distance.
Hmm, now I wonder why the point redemption at this property is the lowest compare to even lower category properties like Renaissance and Sheraton.

This hotel found around 3-4 decades ago
Waste of money. Not worth it.
