It’s Mutant time!!!! My friends, we finally have a new Episode of X-Men ‘97, and it’s titled “Bright Eyes”. I wanted to watch this one with you all and so today, I’ll share my immediate reaction and then give my full review after the episode. X-Men 97 is one of the greatest shows around and seeing all of these incredible characters back in action is something else! Especially done right… Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Magneto, Beast, Jean Grey, Morph, Professor X, Mutants, Rogue

No, what Beast said to Trish Tilby was absolutely correct. The oppressed begging their oppressors for tolerance has never worked, especially when the oppressors are dedicated to trying to wipe you out. You can't appeal to the conscience of those who have none.

I'm enjoying this show so much!! I love how it deals with adult and hard themes and makes us not only enjoy but also think, and I love the X-Men, and they are doing such a great work with these characters. After the episodes, it's great for me watching your videos, thanks for doing them!

Rogue did the right thing throwing homie off the building. I love how raw this show is. Imagine being a super-hero group and thinking it’s always gonna be “rainbows and sunshine”, it’s NOT. The X-men shouldn’t be goody goody all the time. I’m not shocked that the X-men “kill” too. It’s inevitable as a super-hero group lol. Why are we so surprised by this??? lol 😂 Rogue’s people were victims of a MASS assault and Rogue decides to get her hands dirty with revenge and we can’t fathom it for some reason lol 😂. Her actions makes sense and are totally valid. Super-heroes have to make the tough decisions too, not just the villains. Heroes can’t be saints , their job doesn’t allow them to be saints or goody goody. Sometimes “peace” won’t be the solution for heroes. I thought we collectively understood this tho 😂😅. I wasn’t shocked by Rogues behavior AT ALL. I fully support Rogue 🔥🫶🏽

OZT= Operation Zero Tolerance. My guess is they are adaptating Onslaught too, maybe in season 2. The big bad in this season is Bastion but I can't say who he is without spoiling.
I appreciate you holding off on the spoiler. I really thought Sinister was going to be the big bad, so Bastion is a welcome addition
Maddie is indeed dead. She was vaporised.
The turn in that episode happened so quickly that I honestly completely forgot about that haha

Maybe the Magneto who died wasn’t OUR MAGNETO. And that he may be a programmed Magneto to take over Xavier’s role(by Bastian)

I think he's hinting at making the real Magneto that somehow survived i going to be turned into some sort of mutant/sentinel badass!

Bastion was in the gala you can see him walking at some point, was there to get magneto and he did it.
Madelyne is *probably* dead, though we never saw a body she was outside right when the celebration got bombed. "Sorry for what?" she said to Cable when he apologized and was pulled back in time. Then, BOOM, we see Madelyne's face washed out by the detonation. Yes, the diamond woman they find in the wreckage is Emma Frost. In the comics that's how she gets her diamond form, too. Previously she was solely a telepath. The guy who was holding Magneto is named Bastion and he's a pretty deep cut from old XMen comics in the 90s. To the best of my knowledge this is his first appearance in XMen media beyond that so it's not surprising you didn't recognize him. Magneto is a survivor. He probably got knocked out and maybe Leech (who seems dead now too) cancelled Magneto's powers temporarily so the sentinel no longer detected him. This show likes answering one question while raising two more. I love it. The music bangs.

@@arc7375 Makes sense. I would have been surprised had she lived, and the reveal of Emma being the telepath they found seemed to narratively seal that fate.
I believe We saw Madelyne’s body during the Genosha episode-she was next to Sebastian Shaw’s dead body and then they went to Calisto and showed the light going out of her eyes. But I could definitely be wrong.

Told ya it gets heavier than Rosie O'Donell on an average 2-4-1 day at the cracker barrell! I am loving them showing the rage from Rogue, then the pain she's feeling being displayed so damn well. The family moment was just... yeah. So many big names, so many easter eggs, can't even get into all of them. Roberto coming out though... such a gay metaphor there. Like "yeah, we're fine with it, but sthu about it." I feel for the guy but they really haven't explored his character much. I get the feeling him and Wolvering will get their time in the new few eps.
