My issue is a lil different I can unlock both doors on my E92 with the key fob but I can’t lock my driver door with the button on the key, the passenger door locks tho I have to pull the manual key out to lock the driver door
How did you manage to keep the locking barrel rod intact? Magic? 😂
How did you disconnect the connector on top of the actuator
Thank you 🙏
Good Evening . Thank you for this video, I have a 2006 BMW E90 316I. My Right Rear Door is locked - the lock is broken. I have opened the wallpaper, but from all the places I tried it does NOT open. What should I do? If I open the two door support hinges will I be able to open the door? It does NOT open at all. What should I do to open it?
Thank you.
It won’t open even if you open with the handle inside?
Thank you. Nothing works from the lock. has remained locked.
All I have to do is destroy the plastic parts of the lock
But I don't know how to open the mechanical lock safety.
Amazing video
Hey man I’m about to do this, but I was considering taking an old actuator off of a junkyard car. Should I be concerned about the remote connecting to that actuator? And is there any programming steps I need to take if I buy a new one or use an old one?
I honestly am unsure. When I did this, the new actuator just worked with my remote without any coding. I think the remote isnt connected directly to the actuator, it just connected to car so when you press lock/unlocked the car tells the actuator lock/unlock if you get what I'm saying. Not 100% though.
Does it not lock without the door panel on?
iam stuck at removing the upper part of the actuator inside the door. How did you remove the upper part?
I bet you figured it out already but for anyone else looking - remove allen key bolt behind the rubber grommet on the side of the door and remove the lock with plastic piece around it, actuator will fall right out. Just finished doing it and figured that's what was holding it in
Man I followed step by step on my passenger side and everything worked until I installed the trim again and now none of the 4 doors lock. Any idea what I did wrong?
Do they make any noise at all? Did you install a genuine BMW actuator?
Hanging the panel was a good idea; using the bungee's metal clip and the metal pry-bar on paint -not so much. Broke parts off: BMW there'salways a way to do it right!
Did you mention tigjtening back the window regulator?!
Will the same part work for a 2011 328i ?
Yep it should be the same exact process and parts shown in this video
How did you get that last connection off?
Could you give me a time stamp from the video for the part you're referring too

@@brandontodd9043 I honestly dont remember how exactly, I think I either pulled it back out of the actuator or you press downward on it to disconnect from the white plastic piece.
@@InlineSixAuto Thanks appreciate it!
How you even get the door open
I had to use the actual key inside the key fob
🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️this door is a replacement door and the key i have doesn’t work for it
@@isaiahjames838 oh wow, well thats a sticky situation. I believe there has to be a manual way to unlock it from the inside
Do you recommend fcp euro

4:20 how did you disconnect that?
I think I had to pry it off with my finger
