So it is safe to use, as long as you get your 30 minutes of Natural sunlight everyday. It’s safe to use
There does seem to be a relatively recent decline in peoples sleep, ask almost anyone and they will tell you they don't think they get enough sleep and are constantly tired! These days we have these ultra bright white LED bulbs in our homes, car head lights are extremely bright and not as yellow/orange as they used to be when they used ordinary bulbs, street lights are now all white and extra bright instead of the yellow tinted street lights we used to have. Couple that with everyone staring at their mobile 24/7 and TV's in the bedroom it's no wonder people are struggling to sleep! Your brain thinks it's still daytime at night!! Then in the daytime, most of us spend it indoors! Technology is NOT advancing us as a race, I'd say the opposite is happening!
100% I have noticed a major difference in my sleep since I have started working in a hospital setting under the LED light. It takes days for me to go back to my natural sleep rhythm when I am off work. Then it gets worse again after returning to work. I also think for women this can have an intensive effect as they are already sensitive to sleep issues and auto immune issues.
I believe it! After recent rapid development of what use to be a rather dark rural community. But now with the flood of Democratic refugees moving to our community & rapidly bulldozing nature to make concrete structures the use of not only street lights but security lights as well has skyrocketed. Most of these new homes have led lights everywhere. 3 to 4 fixtures just by the garage, & tons everywhere else. Even lights all the way around the backyard privacy fences. The community now has a faint glow & visibility of the night sky & stars have became more difficult. Well as these overpriced cheaply made “houses” were being built & completed you started to hear birds singing in the middle of the night, all through the night. Birds that you only heard during the day were now being heard at night. What was/is more troubling is now it’s became common to find birds randomly dead the next day or few after, without any apparent wounds or injuries, as if they were poisoned. The farmers & original community members have discussed this & no one has changed chemicals used for their crops & farming. The people aren’t dropping dead like the birds are & neither are most of the other animals. So it’s not thought to be chemical contamination of water or anything of that nature. We all have our suspicions now because it started right about the time these led lights were going up everywhere & we’ve canceled out most other possible explanations. It’s either the blue light light pollution or the increase in microwaves from the cell &/or radio/tv towers.
You're not crazy. LEDs hurt my eyes too because they are too harsh. Their rapid flicker is probably what drives you crazy. So I prefer halogens, but thanks to the Biden DOE, you can't buy halogens anymore.
To All: Well it seems that I have discovered the cause of my blindness -it’s the brightness of LED light Blubs.(2-10-2020) What happen I changed all my light bulbs in my house to LED last Feb. 2019 for energy saving. Then Slowly I starting going blind in my left eye, everything started turning bright white. I had my eye doctor check it he said he could not see any problems so he send me to a retina specialist in Oct 2019. The retina specialist said he could not find any problem after intensive testing and I would have to live with it. Well yesterday I figured out that bright lights could be causing my blindness. So I wore sun glasses all day and night to see what would happen to my eyes. My eyesight on my left side was restored about 50 percent. I continue to were my sun glasses and my vision now is fully restored. I replaced all my LED lights with the incandescent blubs and now I can see well without my sunglasses. That’s so weird I would not think the LED lights would cause blindness. I will tell my eye doctors about it at my next appoint in March. Maybe he can write a paper about in in a medical journal Why it caused blindness on only one Eye-actually it both-The reason I think it effected my left eye more is because my computer lamp with a 60 watt equivalent led blub is on my left side of my computer monitor where it was been for the last 10 years. The lamp sits about 90 degrees left of my vision as I look at my monitor, it has a diffuser but it does not block the penetration of the bright light. I use my computer at night about 6 hours a night for the same last 10 years.but 12 months ago I changed it to LED. then I started losing my vision. it got worse everyday. I did not see the connection. but now it is obvious. I now leave that lamp off and use a 25 watt incandescent blub on my ceiling fan. Also I had my cataract remove 3 years ago on my left eye. they put a lens implant in it’s place. I had the same thing done on my right eye a year and a haft ago. Maybe the LED blue light can penetrate my retina easier without the normal human eye lenses. My natural eyes could have acted as a natural diffuser to the blue light. but any which way the LED lights are causing the problem . I can read with both eyes now, sometimes the doctors don’t know all the answers. I also am using and old 22 inch LCD monitor I have that has ccfl (Florescent light ) back lite instead of my 27 inch monitor LCD with led backlight. I find with my improve vision I don’t need a 27 inch monitor so 22 inch is fine. I a have a second 27 inch with built in blue blocker. I will wait a few month to use it again or I may just get rid of it too. Why take changes with my eyes. My big screen tvs are old so so they don’t use LED for back light either. So I think I have covered all bases I am an engineer and not a doctor so I will leave the actual reason and cures to them. But My vision is almost back to normal-amazing.
