- Video from NMRA Columbus race a season or so back. Go over what goes into a pass in one of these cars. If I remember this pass was a 10.4ish pass around 128mph give or take a bit.

That's nice they make the guys at the burnout box wait for the cars in front to leave the line, a lot of tracks don't
just watching videos til I get my swap done love the sense of humor
Thanks keep watching I will try to keep making them and having fun doing it.
Lol damn me too
What is that material wrapped around the floor?
Sweet run I didn't see any Missed shifts or missed Anything..
How would it go m12 6 speed 411s 238 242@112 race heads ls1 around 420hp could I cross line in 4th or b too short n be in 5th gear
i kept my AC lol I turn it off at the line, but it squeaks a bit under load.... Worth it i live in the Tampa area.
AC would be nice lol
@@BAMotorsportsI know i would lighten some rotating mass but it F'ing hot in FL. i street drive my Shelby daily .
We dont. It'll puddle on the starting line. Potential danger
How long do these motors usually last. On the rev limit like that do you have any problems with the chains breaking or the phasers?
I like the old school, muscle car days of 4 speed and manual shifting using a foot on the clutch. Common time and speed is in 10s and 125-130 back then - the old Dick Landy type of racing. What are the quickest cars that still use the 4 speed and old shifting method?
Can you run 9s, 8s, 7s .... is there a limit before you must switch to automatic style ?
It's more about the suspension set up and air gap in the clutch. It's easier on the car with an auto but with modern tech, cars are running 2,000+ horses with a stick, fully built of course but it can be done
@@bluesky-ud9wg thanks, I like having more of the results up to the driver's skill in shifting - so I'm guessing with 2000 hp you could run 9s and 8s for sure, maybe into the 7s?
So it goes way lower than that. They have traction control, rev limiters RPM specific nitrous, and a ton of s*** I don't know about. I just love them because on the street it's fun to pick the gears
0:56 letting her eat
What shifter boot is that?
It is a Simpson shifter boot
How can he shift without using the clutch?
His gears are made with a very special steel, pressed a certain way so that in order to break it you would have to either shatter, or melt it. This allows them to run the transmission without any synchronisers, with every gear change sledgehammering into the gear collars. Just like the sequential transmissions in time attack cars.
Third gear burnout?
Yeah.
could you answer what trans yall are using? tko, tremec? or just hope and pray it goes into gear?
That is a Gforce G101A transmission.
@@BAMotorsports . that's awesome but ill have to put that mod on hold. just use stock til I rip it out thanks and great video man. hopefully we'll see you in action this yr 2019
@@shawngoff8290 in this video it is still a faceplated TKO done by liberty ;)

G101A hell of a leap for you guys. That left leg won't get "oddly" overgrown compared to the right one...
@@BAMotorsports they were called pro shifted 20 years ago when I first got my first one from banging Bob back then. Noisy as fuck but they work amazing in the right application. Car sounds great too. Keep banging away bro.
Clutchless G Force 101A?
It is a G101A correct ;)
Strain gauge on the shifter on your setup?
No it doesn't have a strain guage. Still on factory electronics so no fancy stuff to make the strain guage work.
Get a pedal cam 😎
Visor up, no gloves, no HANS device
Yeah since then driving habits have changed. I am getting a Hans or similar neck restraint device to go with my new helmet.
How do you launch a normal manual
Find the appropriate RPM for your car. Rev it and hold it at that RPM in 1st gear and make sure Traction Control is off to get the best launch and then hold it at the bite just before she wants to take off and then on a green light dump the clutch quickly and floor it. :)
@@bradleybatt1401 how do you know the right rpm?
