Forget the bikes. The star of the show is that machines in the background. My word!

more of these please, just listened to it in the background whilst working, makes a great podcast.
Hour uphill record could be decided on VAM, picking the right mountain with the ideal grade would be as much a factor as the equipment and different mountains would suit different guys.

Super happy you enjoyed it! I actually thought of doing a podcast, got tons to manage at the moment but definitely something for another day. Thanks for tuning in. Ride safe, Mike

feeling this interview alot, moved to France less than a year ago, big transition period not only logistically, but finding a new riding community. ran into Joe in Nice once, solid dude.

Thanks for the video. This interview series is great. As others have mentioned good questions and you let the person you are interviewing answer the question. Best wishes to Joe for the season and to win a mountain stage at the Giro.

That is a badass espresso/grinder setup he has going on. Another video should have been Joe making some espresso and breaking down his gear for coffee

Couldn't agree more...just did Haleakala and it was definitely a mental challenge to ride a 36 mile nonstop climb...stoped looking at Garmin about 2000 feet into the 10000 foot climb

Great video with a great lad. Best wishes for the season Joe, and I love your vertical hour record idea. I did wonder where your left leg was for most of the interview though...

Sky couldn't diagnose your critical artery problem, a real medical condition, but they'd be happy to diagnose your non-existent asthma and allergies. Good for you moving on from that train-wreck. Great conversation. Thank you.
